USB-C Audio stopped working - ZTE Nubia Z17 Questions & Answers

Hey !
The phone randomly stopped recognizing my USB-C earphones, as well as the ones plugged with the 3.5mm to USB-C adapter.
I already did a full wipe, nothing changed, as well as switching select USB configuration to audio source
The earphones are xiaomi USB-C active noise canceling, and no power is sent to them, so they are fully not detected
What's weird is that the phone is still charging !
Phone is on RR 5.8.5, 7.1.2
Any idea ?
Thanks a lot !

Can you connect phone to computer?
Try your USB-C adapter in another phone, or try another USB-C adapter

USB Audio Out Works!!!!

Heads up to all the audio guys out there. Listening to music as I type through my USB DAC > tube amp setup with no special setup. Just USB OTG cable to DAC.
USB Audio Out FTMFW!!!!!
(I'm on AT&T model running ARHD 9.1, not that it matters, I'm sure this feature is universal)
USB OTG to DAC? Do you have an link or pic to such cable?

Just a regular USB OTG connected through the USB cable that comes with the DAC
I have my HTC one with headphone jack to rca cables going into my tube preamp the foreplay. Then from the foreplay to my Dynaco ST70.
YouTube videos sound like garbage bags flapping in the wind.
The tube audio only people would smash my face in if they heard what YouTube sounded like on tubes. Not a good mix at all...
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yep, just a run of the mill standard usb OTG cable and then plug the usb cable from your DAC into it and your good. You'll get the headphone symbology in the status bar and the beats logo although beats appears to be bypassed (which is good) utilizing usb audio out.

Is that version 1.29? I have a T-mobile HTC One with 1.27 and USB DAC wouldn't work with FiiO E7 or JH-3a.
4.3 Update broke the USB audio out session disconnect
I've got the Sprint variant. Loaded the OTA update to 4.3 and now my USB audio gets hung when I disconnect my OTG cable. If I try to plug it in and reconnect later, my handset locks up tighter than Fort Knox. I've tried a factory reset, took a trip to the Sprint repair center (where no one even knew the audio out function existed ) so I'm stuck rebooting my phone between every listening session. Complete PITA. Specifically purchased this phone to use with my Fiio Andes, and everything was great until 4.3.
Does this significantly effect battery life?

Nexus 6P USB C Headphone Compatability?

Hey all, recently upgraded from my Nexus 6 to 6P. I have USB C headphones from an HTC Bolt that work on the Bolt, but nothing happens when I plug them in my 6P, continues to play out of the device speakers and doesn't pause videos when I unplug them which means it doesn't detect headphones plugged in from what I found online. Any advice if there's a setting to change to make it work or can some USB C headphones not work with certain phones? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
from what i understand those headphones dont work on the nexus...
i use a pair of Z:ero all digital earphones, they are micro usb, so im using a USBC > micro adapter
im waiting for Zorloo to make a USB C kind

USB Devices not working correctly

Has anyone else ran into an issue where their USB devices such as OTG and Audio DACs/Amps won't work correctly if at all using both a third party OTG cable/adapter and the supplied Samsung USB-C to USB OTG adapter? For example I plug in a thub drive into the included OTG adapter it pops up for a split second in ES File explorer before dissapearing and the phone seems to be stuck in Charging the connected USB device mode as well. This has happened with both Android 7 and Android 8 on my AT&T S8 also my FiiO E18 seems to get stuck in Charging the connected USB device as well even tho the FiiO E18 itself can be used to charge the S8 it just will NOT switch to that function in Android even tho that port on the E18 is power OUT only as it has a separate port for Power input for the built in battery. Also I have to restart my phone after plugging in the E18 for the audio function to work. Which is getting annoying. Anyone else seeing these issues and may know a fix? S8 is fully up to date from AT&T
Hello, I have att s8 active unlocked and updated it to the latest stock rom.
When I plug it in my car audio by USB-c cable and I want to listen to spotify music, it only charges but sound comes from the built in phone speaker. I have s7 active also and when I plug it in, it plays through car speakers (micro usb cable). How to enable car audio of s8active to play through car audio?

Head phone issues.

I have a Tmobile note 10+ non rooted android 10. I've been using the stock akg headphones and samsung head phone adapter with my bose headphones for a few months.
Today my phone would not recognize the adapter or the stock usbc headphone that came with the phone. It just plays sound from the speakers.
In the notification panel it keeps switching between usb connected and disconnected.
I plugged both pairs of headphones into my wife's s10+ and it works perfectly.
Any suggestions before I factory reset?
It might be the usb port, the otg adapter works? Also, you can check it by connecting your phone to a pc to see if both comunicate, if these tests fail, definitively the usb port is faulty
Check the USB-C port for pocket lint. It's very common for them to get packed with lint over time. This will prevent the USB-C cable/device from fully inserting.
If you have some in there just use something small soft and non-conductive like a tooth pick and some canned air to get it out.

Dead usb port?

Hi guys, I'm new here and could really use some help
I finally upgraded to the 6T from my OP2 yesterday. I got a T mobile variant (in great condition) and wanted to convert it to international. The problem is I can't seem to connect it to any computer. I have tried 5 computers and 3 different cables, the phone just doesn't get detected. USB preferences remains grayed out and windows doesn't even detect something is being plugged in.
I have tried installing the OP drivers, and qualcomm drivers, made no difference.
I also noticed that the usb-c to headphone jack doesn't output any audio through my earphones. Dash charging isn't working either.
Is my usb port damaged? It seems like theres no data going through it at all

Well if it's not even charging or playing audio then yes, I'd wager the USB Port is damaged.

Regular charging works, just not dash charge. And the buttons on my earphones can play/pause music, but there's no sound output. I've been reading a few pixel forums, this seems to be a common issue with pixel 3's. Was just hoping to see if others here have faced similar issues and how they got around it
Have you tried to clean port with toothpick or brush also your dash lead or charger may be faulty, dash charging will only work with dash lead and dash charger. Also usb type c are prone to failure i would clean and replace lead and go from there before juming to charge port replacement, if necessary ctdi in poland do a great job and authorised repairs for oneplus
