Best android version for performance - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I just flashed Lineage 15.1 which is Android 8.1 over the stock 5.1. And there is a big drop in the smoothness. So my question is has anyone noticed the same drop in performance and what's the newest Android version that works well on mako.

The best are based on Marshmallow and nougat

Since CrDroid seems to be the best which is better [8.1 Oreo] or [7.1.2 Nougat] ?

From all the Roms the best one or the most popular one is Crdroid when we are talking about continued support to this day.
I am not talking about discontinued ROMS or ROMS with older versions of Android .
If you want a good performance and an uptodate device CrDroid is the clear winner maybe next is Fulmics but it has older android version so let's not talk about it .
So what do you think, which is better ?
Currently crdroid is best for oreo because of its stability and it is also packed with features. But i think resurrection remix is best for nougat.
The 8.1 rom is still in alpha so bare that in mind. The only issue i had with the 7.1.2 is the random app minimising
For now, there isn't so much 8.1 rom to be compared other than crDroid.
For 7.12, I prefer AICP and RR to crDroid (w/ solid kernel) because they run smoother than crDroid.

I went back to 7.1.2 because there is not an official version of opengapps for 8.1.
I don't have another source other than this site to find 8.1 ROMs. You can see here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development

Android 9.0

Is it possible to port any ROM based on Android 9.0 Pie to our Galaxy or not 'cause device too old? I'm currently using my phone on RR 6.0 and works pretty good so far and I'm curious how would it work on android 9

(Q)official os update in sm-t285

will there ever be a majos os update officially in sm-t285? it is still stuck in android 5.1.1 lollipop when other A series tablets are already in higher android version . Even sm-t585 got official android 8.
So are we sm-t285 users gonna stuck in this lollipop rom for always? Won't it ever get any official update??
i want to say thanks to sir "jedld" for his awesome works of making custom roms (CM 13 and LineageOS 14.1) for this tablet sm-t285..?? i hope he sees this..?

Best Axon 7 android stock rom?

my axon 7 has still Lineage 14.1, build May 2018. I wanted to factory reset and install a newer rom. Of course it has to be perfectly stable for everyday use, and possibly as close to android stock as possible.
Which rom do you suggest me to install?
Pixel experience with Thermal mi5s config
Because all pie roms had Thermal throttle issue
Great pie experience with exclusive pixel futures
And i recommend you to install gcam fv9.4 6.30 Pocophone version
And you will have Best experience
Great camera
Great sound
July security patch
Great performance
Decent battery usage

Gamming rom

Hello everyone. Anyone can make me a rom for gamming only... i dont need anything just online gamming
FOR ME THE BEST ROMS FOR GAMMING ARE THE 4.4.4 cyanogenmod 11 (VERY OLD, ANCIENT SECURITY PATCH) BUT EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE AND THE 5.1.1 cyanogenmod 12.1 (A BIT BETTER FOR SAFETY THAN THE 4.4.4) ADEQUATE PERFOMANCE TOO. FOR ME THE 5.1.1 IS BETTER THAN THE 4.4.4 BECAUSE 4.4.4 IS ANCIENT. SO THE 5.1.1.
