My Mate 9 Does Not Start After Attempting to Upgrade FF PC Version - Huawei Mate 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

I was using FF PC version to try to update my Mate 9, tried several versions and all of them gave error when restarting the device, until I found a version that made the installation go all the way (LON-L29C636B361 (8.0.0.361)) , but after the update the device does not start, it enters the eRecovery screen. By connecting the Huawei symbol does not appear any more as well. What recovery options do I have? I tried recovery through HiSuite but it says my device is not compatible.
Excuse my English, I'm from Brazil.

Help me! Im stupid!

So a while back I rooted my Huawei P8Lite ALE-UL00 (China) and it took a while but it worked out great. Then a few weeks ago I was sick and browsing on my phone when I got a notification from EMUI telling me to update. Being the stupid kid I am I did it. And then it would show the Huawei logo on and on and on. Destined to fix it went to the forums to fix it. did ADB and Fastboot, nothing. Except more problems. Now when I turn it on it directly says this:
RESCUE MODE
Attention!
Please update systems again
Update Use Guide:
--- Android Logo ---
Error!
Func NO : 10 (boot image!)
Func NO: 2 (load failed!)
you can simply flash it by fast boot mod, flash the rom version UL-00-C00-B220
which update version did you got ??
Yes , you need fastboot b220 . Later OTA b230
You could try to only flash the boot.img via adb.
One Problem
I cannot fastboot it, it doesnt take me out of that screen, on my computer it says waiting for device, if i type fastboot devices it doesnt show up. Any other ideas?

Well, first try again and dont forget to close hisuite it does that problem.
If it didint work, turn your device off then hold down volume down button and after 3-4 seconds connect your device to computer via a USB cable it should access you to the bootloader then flash the firmware manually.

Yet another Android 6.0 problem

Hi,
I know this subject had already been trated, but I just can't find a valid solution for my specific problem.
I have a P8 Lite with number ALE-L21C109B170
According to what I rode, it seems to be a spanish version.
I tried to download the android 6.0 firmware from huawei site, single-sim, but I had the software install problem. Seems that I have to be on another build to be able to do that.
I also tried to download HiCare, and no matter which country I try, when I hit check for updates, I'm always up to date.
I tried to download adb minimal fastboot, but I'm just unable to boot my phone into fastboot (using volume down and power). I managed to do it one time, it showed that my phone was blocked, and asked me to plug it onto my computer. I did that while launching on my computer the app, but nothing happened. And now I just can't go back to fastboot mode, everytime I try it just boot normaly.
I'm a little bit confuse with all these build version, if someone could help me.
Thank you for enlightments
You should install this firmware which is specific to your carrier and dual sim model.

Huawei p9 lite bricked, no fastboot, unlocked and stucked on boot....

Hello,
I am from Greece and Ive bought from Vodafone a Huawei P9 lite vns-l21 before one month. Ive installed the nougat rom 370 with firmware finder but I made a mistake choozing the NRD-90M test key. So I begun to roll back to Marshmallow. Everything ok. Then Itried to install an other rom from firmware finder(i think C432b371) and again NRD-90M test key...
Again roll back to Marshmallow...so in the first step when i was trying to install with dload method the Huawei P9 Lite Rollback Package For L21C432 (EU) my phone stucked on boot loop but I had fastboot. Then I have unlocked the bootloader to see if there is anything that i can do with srk tool and now i have a beautifull bricked phone stuck :
"Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted.
you device is booting now"
In this point nothing happens, I can not go to fast boot, No recovery mode, The hardware keys not doing anything, only resetting the phone in loop..
I dont know what to do and Huawei wants 215euro to fix my phone.
My mistake I know but is there enything that i can do know? Its a new phone!
Sorry for my english
I would suggest getting an sdcard and creating a dload folder inside, then putting an official rom UPDATE.APP file inside the dload folder and try 3button method

As far as I understand, you can't even power off your device which is a problem since the 3button method won't work if you can't power off the device.

Hmm I dont get why they want 215 euro to exchange the storage chip.
I guess your phone is pretty much a brick now have fun. Lol sry
I had a similar problem with the boot-loop.
Press PowerOff until the screen goes black, and then immediately leave power-off and press Power Off + Volume Up for ever until the phone boots normally.
That's what I did and worked for me.
Can you boot to fastboot, if you can you can recover it with DC-Phoenix tool.

No he cant, I have the same problem. Cant fastboot, adb or 3 button method. Even tried unplugging battery then doing 3 button method.
Anyone sopve this problem with no fastboot no recovery no 3 buttons mode?
try to drain the battery, keep screen on, or keep phone on until battery is 0%, you can't turn it on . keep volume down and power pressed, plug usb to pc , if you're lucky fastboot could be ok
Hi there, I also managed to brick my P9Lite - no recovery, no fastboot. After draining the battery completly the phone starts fine but I can't install system updates. I guess I have to live with that. Unfortunately I can't activate bluetooth. Does anyone has an idea how to get bluetooth working again?
idk for your BT issue , but did you try Firmware Finder for Huawei ? easy to use, you will probably able to dl an update. don't use "small " package OTA, use full firmware, about1.6 or 1.8 Go, may could fix your BT.

didn't work out as Firmware Finder is only another way to find a firmware but not another way to install the firmware...
Hello guys,
sorry if i write this but i think necessary to grab best helps..
Try to describe problem in detail (ex. - i was upgrading/downgrading from..........to............ firmware and it bricks, etc...)
Your latest working phone/system/firmware (ex. - mine was VNS-L31C432B381-before i upgraded to EliteRom).
Some information changes according to the country / region of the world in which you live,
so they are useful for those who help you to redirect to the correct thread / give right suggestions...
All the best guyz

Yes , a way to get last firmware, or firmware you want through the huawei update app. Without firmware finder ,no way to " force" huawei update app to install anything you want on your device
Sorry for the late response, I'm reading the thread right now. Firmware Finder can also be used to install firmware through eRecovery. Install Firmware Finder for Windows: http://pro-teammt.ru/projects/hwff/v2/GetLatestVersion.action
You need to write down your existing and change both DNS addresses in your router to: 81.177.139.39
You also need to deactivate IPv6 protocol.
Open FirmwareFinderRewrite.exe, go to "common base" and search VNS-LXXCXXX (Your model and customization). Copy the link in "changelog" not of the newest, but of the 2nd or 3rd youngest firmware. Check if it has been approved by pasting the link under the tab with the checkmark (5th position counting from left). If the response is "This firmware was approved to install" you are ready to go.
Copy the same link in the proxy field (the cloud symbol, 4th position counting from left). Click on "set" and "register update".
Now switch off your phone, press "Vol+" and simultaneously connect it to the PC. You enter eRecovery now. Tap on "Download latest version and recovery". Your phone should start the download now, after a couple percent you can reset your router settings, the download will continue. If all is well, the firmware will then be installed.

How to reset - stuck at eRecovery

Hi guys. I was hoping some of you might be able to help out with some information on how to resolve this issue. I have (Well my Dad does) a Mate 9 Pro and got an OTA update for something and has now bricked the phone. The phone is stuck at the eRecovery screen and nothing I am trying is working. I ran into some information to go to Fast boot and try to restore with HiSuite, but HiSuite isn't connecting the device. I don't mind putting in some effort on my end, but if someone could at least guide me in the right direction, that would be awesome. Appreciate any input at all!
If you are able to access fastboot mode then you can try to install kangvip ROM, this should get your phone to boot up and then you can reinstall the ROM you want.

You can unbrick your device using firmware finder and eRecovery like I what I sayed in this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9-pro/help/lon-l29-install-opengapps-frplock-t3892529/post78767873
Tuto :
1. Install Multi-tool 8
2. Choose the official firmware you want
3. Copy the Changelog.xml url by Right-clicking on it.
4. Activate the DNS with this firmware
5. Activate the Wifi sharing on your Windows 10 PC or laptop (By clicking on the Wifi icon at buttom-right of the screen and click on mobile hotspot)
6. Change the DNS of your PC in the Adaptater Option
7. Enter in E-Recovery and connect your phone on the Wifi of your PC
8. Download and Install it on your huawei Mate 9 Pro with this eRecovery

Help recovering Soft Bricked M3 BTV-W09?

Could use some help...
Long story short, I've soft bricked my Huawei MediaPad M3 BTV-W09. It's never had the bootloader unlocked.
When powered on, I get the EMUI Huawei eRecovery screen with "Download version and recovery", "Reboot", and "Shutdown". Download connects to wifi, says Getting Package info from server, then Getting Package Info Failed.
Volume down and connect to PC via USB gets me into Fastboot and Rescue Mode, but "PHONE Locked" "FRP Unlock".
While connected to the PC, I can get DC-Unlocker to see the tablet:
Detecting phone :
selection :
manufacturer - Huawei phones
model - Huawei MediaPad M3
Selected Applications port COM5
Selected Diagnostics port COM5
Found Phone : BTV-W09
Model : Huawei phone in fastboot mode
IMEI : 000000000000000
Serial NR. : 28D6R17A21001877
Firmware : BTV-W09C128B351
MEID:a00000557e25fa
FB LockState: LOCKED
USER LockState: LOCKED
locked
Battery state: 5781mv
I'm not sure what Firmware was originally on this tablet when I received it, but pretty sure it was Android 7, EMUI 5. I did attempt to use DC-Pheonix to push a build (I think the BTV-W09C128B351 it's showing now, but not positive) to it, obviously unsuccessful.
I've attempted to use the SD update method (copy update.app and other files to SD \dload dir, Vol - & Vol + & power) with several firmwares from huawai-firmware.com, no luck.
Any suggestions on how to revive my tablet would be appreciated.
TIA,
-Joe

Have you tried the HiSuite computer program? I saw some mention of it in some other posts and finally gave it a whirl. There's a system recovery option in there - I haven't used it myself, just noticed it was there.
Just for context: I've been pouring through this forum and googling everything possible. My tablet's been on BTV-W09C128B350 and I've been looking for a way to update it. There's no "Update" button in my settings. Been trying to use Firmware Finder and downloaded B351, tried the reboot/recovery method but that always failed. and I don't see this "send to updater" after I download a firmware package so that must be old notes. But as soon as I hooked up HiSuite, it recognized that I had an update, and took be straight to B351. Not sure if that's bc I had the Update.app in my dload still, but I'm going to keep exploring that.
