[BUG] Headphones & audio effects crashes Settings - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Guides, News, & Discussion

On Settings > Sound > selecting Headphones & audio effects crashes Settings :silly: .I am on Octomber 's security patch. Do you have the same problem ? I though that Android One project would give us a robust pure Android OS.

I rebooted my phone and it seems to work now.lol

Bad headphones sound after update to Nougat

Hello all ZF3 owners,
I own ze520kl model and It is just me or sound is terrible after updating to Android 7? I have (almost) no bass sounds, anyone else feels this kind of difference? Equalizer makes a little of difference, but not like previously did on Android 6.0.
2 different set of headphones and 2 different player apps.
Regards,
Dan.
Others reported the same.
Looks like I have to hold on to update my phone.
The Android N update for the Zenfone 3 enables AudioWizard audio processing with wired headphones, meaning that any EQ you have on your phone's speakers will carry over to the headphones. There also may be a bug that activates certain AudioWizard presets on headphones without warning. Either way, you can fix the problem of headphone audio sounding tinny or weird by going into the Sound and Vibration settings menu while your headphones are plugged in, and selecting AudioWizard. Once in AudioWizard, set the preferences to your liking or just select Pure mode if you don't want any EQ or anything like that.
Big thanks, it worked like a charm!
Regards!

Will try that settings. Thanks for the advice. :good::good::good:
Sorry for reviving this old thread. I updated to Nougat the day I got this phone and learned that audio quality is worse than my last phone, even with AudioWizard set to Pure. Will audio sound better with the AudioWizard app and service disabled?

I also found two audio packages, "com.asus.maxxaudio" and "com.asus.maxxaudiowizard" which I can't disable via ADB because I'm not rooted.

bluetooth too loud: how I fixed it

Per the advice here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...lume-problem-after-S7-oreo-update/td-p/565981
I went to Settings >> Sounds and Vibration >> Sound Quality and Effects >> Equaliser.
Here I used a headset to change the adapt sound option to set a custom level for left and right ears. An option to specify preferred bluetooth ear is given.
You can also use the equalizer to slide the volume level down, that seems to help. But I don't think you can do that *and* use the Adapt Sound settings at the same time.

Horizontal UI and extended Volume Control

Hello guys. I hope you can help me out on that one.
I recently added various ROMs, MODs and APKs to my rooted Galaxy S8(950F) and everything worked fine more or likely. So I once tried to flash my Camera and guess what, I fu**ed the whole thingy up leaving me without a camera and flashlight. No problemo though; Hard-reset is on the way, I thought.
There was a patch which enabled my phone to directly control Volume on my Bluetooth Speaker. (Apple Iphones can control them by default.) It's a feature I've searched for so long, working just perfect before my hard reset. Alongside to this mod my UI switched to a costum horizontal state if provoked. Looked kinda sexy.
So I hard-reset my galaxy, root, costom ROM, fixed the camera and successfully patched it. Yet I can't direct control Volume anymore and there's no sign of a horizontal Userinterface. I spend like a week searching for MODs to patch; without success! I am searching in xda Forums for a while now without progress.
I did use PowerAmp alongside its settings to enable direct Volume Control. Using "OpenSL ES" for audio output. In Settings > Developeroptions > I did set up AVRCP 1.4, aptX, 44,1 kHZ, 16 BpS, Stereo, optimized for audio quality. It did work before my hard reset.
Any Ideas? Any help greatly appreciated!!

Sound glitch between 19/20

I updated my headunit today via this post.
All is working great except my sound. I tried both the normal sound settings and the dolby settings. on the normal sound settings my sound is really low compared to before the update. when i start dolby and enable it, its louder but not great still.
But when i turn it from 19/20 i get a weird sound. like my speakers turn on again but with the sound from before the update. i get more bass and the sound is more clear in general.
when i turn it back down to 19 It's bad again.
Could this be a problem with dolby? or with the update?
Anyone got an idea? Can't figure it out.
Thanks!

Not MTCB, requesting mod move to Android Head units thread.
