I'm pretty sure I've not disabled any otg/usb stuff. So it should be like stock kernel in that regard.

how to build this kernal
I don't know personally about this platform, but what I read about the Qualcomm SOC seemed to say that the chipset supports actual USB 2.0 host and not just OTG (Actually OTG was not mentioned on the page). If any is implemented in this phone I have no clue
Cheers!

Request OTG support for SM-E700H

it is possible?
I want it
I really need otg support for my SM-E700H
I won't change my phone just because of this weakness.
Can you help me?

I don't think it's possible as the usb port does not supply dc current.
If you want to know if otg possible on a device or not, just connect a usb otg cable and plug a flash disk with led. If led turned on install stickmount
our e7 unfortunately does not support otg

Unfortunately, you can't.
The microUSB port on E-Series doesn't support host mode, only client.

Please share your experience (pro &cons) with the custom ROM which you have used or are using.
Thanks

Havoc os. I've been using for 2 months easy to customization and useful gestures :good:
Try the Unofficial Havoc OS. I found it more smooth than the Official One. Try PBH or Muffin Kernel with it.
guys, i have been a flasher, but since this phone i am on stock as am not getting the time, also i ignored as i would lose data in BL unlock. SO i need little advice, how good is pixel experience over stock?

A small note all the custom roms don't support usb OTG or reverse charging, and for most of the roms you will need root(Magisk) else GPAY doesn't work

I'm one who hasn't tried any of the Pie updates by Asus.
PE is quite stable, responsive and has the best battery backup compared to the other ROMs I tried here.
It also has the latest security patch. The maintainer is also quite quick to provide updates.

The PE based on AOSP.
I don't use OTG so it doesn't matter for me personally.
Regarding slow charging I haven't faced any slow down.
I make sure to charge it when the device is at ambient temperature and to not use it while charging.

I care for OTG ?
You can check out MSM Xtended XP7 V14. I have been using it for many weeks and it's a very good experience with virtually no lag and bugs in my daily usage. Definitely recommend it with PBH kernel, which gives OTG feature and also great battery backup. Rom itself is also very smooth and customisable with many, many customisation options.
Link for the rom and you can also read my review for the rom, I will also update my review once I have done my testing:

You mean PBH kernel gives OTG feature or the ROM itself capable of OTG?

Quoting others users in the same thread, rom itself does not support OTG as the original kernel of the rom does not have OTG feature. But after flashing PBH kernel or other kernels with OTG feature, the rom will have support for OTG. I have tried it personally and can confirm that OTG does work with PBH kernel.
