Nokia X6 - 6.1 Plus Display fault. - Nokia 6.1 Plus (X6) Questions & Answers

Anyone suffering from a display fault on their X6/6.1 plus or can shed some light on my issue?
It seems as if the display isn't set up for the notch as some apps or web pages cut off partly and the clock/battery and notifications are too high so are cut off too.
I have a screen shot but don't know how to upload.

S4 Backlight Flicker

Hi all,
I have a visual disorder known as PMA ( Persistent Migraine Aura). Simpy put, my vision is extremely sensitive to all light forms.
The S4 has really bad backlight flicker, especially in low conditions I can see the flicker. It's really horrible for me as I see it more than the average person would. I couldn't believe it had such prominent flickering from the backlight LED's (low refresh rate?) when I first got my phone; I recently sold my Laptop as it had a poor LED backlight panel.
Now to my question: is there any rom out there that reduces this? Any way of reducing this flicker (increase refresh rate)? It's really making me considering selling the phone
Any help will be appreciated.

Bike Computer App / Moto Display

Hi, so I've been searching for an app with no luck. What I'm hoping to find is an app similar to Endomondo or Map My Ride where there is an option for when you turn the screen off it would continue to show information on the screen such as distance traveled, time, and current speed but it would use the Moto Display type settings where it would be monochrome in order to save battery.
Anyone ever run across something like this?
Monochrome means all AMOLED pixels with different color are on to show the info. Would be more battery friendly to turn on one color only. Blue has shortest life in AMOLED, so other colors would be better candidate. Anyway, keeping any pixel on for long period of time can produce burn in effect. Just because AMOLED pixels are fading over time.
It's not answer to your question, just observation if you find, ask for feature or develop by yourself

Screen flicker in low light conditions?

I keep my screen brightness very low and I have had it happen a few times in low light conditions where the screen will go into full seizure mode and start flickering. What I have done is then increase the ambient light around the phone and the flicker stops. I read of a few others on the Lenovo forums with the same issue but no official problem acknowledged yet. Anyone else here have this issue? I am not sure if I should send it back since it is a new device. I worry about future issues and longevity.
I got my phone yesterday and noticed after using it for few hours. It only happens at certain brightness level with Adaptive brightness On. I haven't noticed it after that. I use manual brightness mode and from what I read on lenovo forums that it doesn't happen with manual. I was thinking of replacing it too but after reading so many users complaining about it I am sure this has to do with software. Also, I noticed random WiFi disconnection.
I hope they push out update for all these bug fixes.
EDIT: My sister has the same phone since May and she noticed it too. So, I am pretty sure it is software related issue.
The issue is most probably due to PWM, since Moto G5 (and Plus) use it at low brightness: https://www.notebookcheck.com/Test-Lenovo-Moto-G5-Plus-Smartphone.213428.0.html (german, use Translate)
The display flickers at 2404 Hz (most likely due to pulse width modulation PWM) at a set brightness of 3% and below.
Click to collapse
It cannot be disabled (practically) by software means, it's the way the display driver controlls the brightness (because of cheap components). It's also present on 99% of AMOLED displays.
It causes eyestrain and headaches for a lot of people (I am one of them). The site above (also has an English version) checks for PWM on all reviews, so you can check other phones if you want to replace the G5.

Purple screen drag

Hi xda, i am experiencing purplish screen drag when my OP5 is at low brightness ... E.g. when i clear recents one by one, i notice a purple drag effect from the current-moving app in the direction of its movement .... Well, put simply whenever something on my display is moved anywhere, a purplish drag is shown when its moving... At high brightness the screen is fine .. i noticed this 2 days ago .. the same was problem with my old Galaxy s4 .. my cellphone isn't faulty .. its working fine just this glitch ..
My screen is like a slug, who moves front, leaves a trail of mucous behind and then that catches up ..
Nothing weird , all the standard OLED panels in smartphones or TVs have this behaviour at minimum brightness
Only low-persistance OLED panels with high refresh rate (like the ones you have in the VR Headsets) are free of this problem

Android 11 artifacts and flashing display

I have a blink as well as artifacts at the bottom of the display. Problem is only andorid 11, and some applications Telegram, Messenger and in these settings.
adaptive brightness - off
maximum brightness
resolution-QHD +
theme - white
Do you have such problems?
I think I can see what you mean it's like a little flicker at the bottom?
It's quite subtle, I've not had the issue on any phone ever personally.
Talk to OnePlus maybe for an RMA, also don't use 60hz or QHD.. Lock FHD on 120Hz
Might help.
Yes, and the display flashes.
Unfortunately, that looks like a possible RMA ...
