Clash Royale problem - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Hey guys, so I just bought the phone and noticed CR doesn't work in 'full screen' mode. (I've enabled gesture navigation)
I don't get ANY notifications from the app either.
The force app to full screen mode in display settings doesn't show CR.
Anyone with a fix?

In my experience, 19.5:9 aspect ratio screens don't work well with clash Royale. The screens are too tall, so you get larger boarders on top/bottom

Prevent Dailymotion App from dimming screen

Hey everyone, has anyone noticed that dailymotion (app and website) dims the screen when it's playing videos?
in the chrome website you can go out of fullscreen and move the mouse about and you get 5 more minutes of bright video but on the actual android app the moment you get out of the navigation overlay it dims again
I've been getting around this buy pumping the brightness up but i mean that's clearly not the solution. anyone have a solution?

Changing Aspect Ratio in S7/S7 edge

Right now I'm using Nova Launcher because I need landscape mode in order to use MirrorLink in my car.
All is working well. However, I realised that there are 2 horizontal black bars at the top and bottom of the car screen. That's because of the aspect ratio. The car screen is 5:3 and S7 edge is 16:9. In order to reach 5:3, I need to change the default 2560x1440 resolution of my S7 edge to 2400x1440.
I'm using Easy DPI Changer (ROOT) to achieve that. In portrait mode there's no issues, screen resizes well and calibration it's fine. BUUUUT... When rotating the S7 edge to get landscape mode, it just reboots. Always, no matter the launcher. It's something coming from Android 7? Maybe TouchWiz?
The app is working amazing with a Sony XPERIA Z3 with Android 6.0.1. But it's not my daily smartphone so I need this to work with my S7 edge so bad.
Any help will be appreciated.
(Sorry if my English is bad)
Try to set dpi with that app while you are on landscape mode. This may fix reboot but don't know about potrait mode issues

not working.
"Easy DPI changer" it's in portrait mode only, although I put my S7 edge in landscape, the app launches in portrait and when changing to 2400x1400 and going to home screen, screen tries to turn to landscape and it crashes like before.
Seems like TouchWiz or Android 7 doesn't support other resolutions in landscape mode than 16:9 (1280x720, 1920x1080, 2560x1440)???? :S
It must be samsung systemui, the other apps are made to scale at any resolution

3rd party applications comparability

Hello
I was very much interested in LG G6 and have even ordered it once in eBay yesterday and cancelled it after getting to know one information none of the reviewers have pointed it out.
I have heard that most of the 3rd party applications would show black border even in portrait mode because of the aspect ratio difference.
But I was also been told that applications would automatically utilise the entire screen at least in portrait mode.
I have also heard that LG provided scaling function is not of great help as well.
I am from India and I am not sure how much time it would take for the developers here to update their application for a new screen aspect ratio.
Please provide your valuable inputs.
I am upgrading from Nexus 5x
This model released just 4 months ago so expect little delay with specific apps but LG's scaling works fairly well in standard apps, I would say stick with ur current phone for few months.
Thanks for your kind reply.
I am using the mobile phone mostly for applications and in portrait mode itself and would watch YouTube videos also.
I am not using the mobile phone for gaming.
Can you please post some photos of the scaled applications ?
I heard that the navigation bar would be in black colour even when an application scaled.
Are all Google applications and prominent 3rd party applications support the 18:9 aspect ratio?
yes the navigation bar does turn black but it will be hidden under the app your are using in full screen and pull down on noti panel will bring back the navi buttons, so if u watch YouTube videos after scaling u won't see any back bar while in full screen.

You mean I won't see black borders while youtubing in fullscreen?
yes but only if the content is in 18:9 format, lets say if u resize YouTube app and the video is also coded in 18:9 format then the bar will be hidden, at least that's my experience on couple of occasions so far.

How to make a Game Full Screen?

Hello everyone, I just bought an LG G6, I am an avid Clash Royale player, but for some reason it scales in the Top of the phone, but in the bottom it shows a black bar, which is annoying, anyone else can confirm they have the same issue?
Thanks,
Dont judge, just help,
Thanks
not all games are supported
As mentioned, not all games are supported, most of us probably got used to the fact our phones have (still) "unusal" aspect ratio so most fullscreen apps will show black bars either on the top and bottom or on the sides.
However sometimes you can force changing aspect ratio of the app. When swiping during immersive mode - proper way of naming "full screen" - and revealing status bar or navbar, a blueish-greenish (I'm a guy, colors are not my forte) button with arrows will appear. Pressing it and selecting the option you want, forces the app to be launcher with other aspect ratio, usually resulting in cropped content...
But some games do support it kinda properly, for example Dungeon Defense.
There are even some games that support full immersive mode, but not that much right now. 18:9 will surely be a "future" standard aspect ratio so the range of apps fully supporting it will increase soon.
Galaxy S8 users are scr3wed more, 18,5:9 aspect ratio makes these bars even bigger!

Videos not playing full screen

It seems videos are not being played full screen on apps such as Netflix and VLC. The screen doesn't stretch past the status bar. Which is a waste of screen real estate.
It seems only YouTube can play videos full screen.

Anyone knows if there is a fix for this?

I don't think that ever worked. YouTube is the only app I could stretch fullscreen with my Pixel 3 XL too. I think it's up to the app creators to enable this.
Follow this:
- open up settings
- choose display
- full screen apps
- scroll to the youtube app and touch the youtube app and change it from auto to full
- play video and pinch to zoom
Please hit the thumbs up bottom if this works ??.
Yeah I fixed it by going to Settings -> Display -> Fullscreen Apps -> change Netflix from Auto to Full
Thanks for this. This was driving my crazy (Plex) and I'm used to seeing it full screen on my XS Max.
