Download progress bar of Google play Store not working - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Hello friends, I and using oneplus 6t with oxygen is 9.0.4. All other apps notifications are working, even download bar from browser works only exception to be Google play Store. It doesn't show notification of apps are available to be updated also no download progress bar when an app is being downloaded.
I did all these :
Clearing cache of playstore, even data.
Cache of play services, data
Restarting mobile
Notification is on from playstore setting as well as phone app setting

Known issue on the official forums..I was initially having this issue yesterday.. eventually play store just started working later in the day.

What could be the reason for this as, notifications for download is controlled by download manager and notification from setting for that is on and all other downloads are showing when in progress, only Google play store behaving like this.

try this

[Q] How to stop all downloads on Gingerbread?

Hi, I'm using android Gingerbread (SD) and was downloading some apps from the market when my phone ran out of battery. Now when I reboot there is a constant notification in the notification bar which says that my download is in progress, but the progress bar doesn't move, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Even tried rebooting, but it doesn't change
Go to Market and uninstall those apps and then install it again. If the apps already installed but the Market is still saying it's in downloading progress, then download Easy Uninstaller to uninstall it and then install the apps from the Market.
I went to the market and it shows the apps on 'My Apps' as Free (as opposed to installed, like the rest of the apps). Oddly though, I only tried to download 3 apps, but in the notification bar it shows the apps I was trying to download 'and 8 more' ?!
Anything that you downloaded from the Market will listed under My apps. Sometime the ROM that you installed have preloaded apps and the Market regconized that under My apps as well. Follow the steps on the above post if the Market got confused on the downloading/stuck/updating apps.
Try going into Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Market and clear data and cache. Then it should stop constantly always downliading those apps.

I don't quite understand what you mean, but I've left wifi on for a while and it now has reduced the number from 8 to 6 apps to download. I have not got any notifications that they were installed but hopefully it will just clear all the downloads. Only problem is that if the screen turns off it stops downloading, so I have to leave the screen on.
Its in your phones settings under applications. That happens sometimes when ur phone dies with apps being downloaded. Just click on the things i said in the order i listed them and the downliading aops should go away instantly

I don't have the marketplace thing under manage applications, but I used the app in the first reply to sort it out instead. Thanks

Missing notifications when installing apps

Hello, recently I can't see any notifications when installing apps. There is notification and arrow when downloading app from Google Play, but when download is complete and installing started I can't see any notification. Does it have something in common with action memo disappearing when minimizing?
Go to play store app info în device manager and check on notifications

Thanks, but after your post I found I have unchecked notifications from Google Play in application manager in system setting of the phone. Now it is working. Anyway, thanks for help.

Play store apps reamain on 100% downloaded but don't install

I have a problem with play store: if i download an app from it, it remains stuck at 100% downloaded but it doesn't install... it needs sometimes even 3 or 4 minutes to start installation. Same thing for uninstall... I have just tried to clear play store memory (cache + memory) and play services memory but it doesn't help...
Seems i have found the problem... i have uninstalled and re installed nova launcher and now it seems to work perfectly... i think that's something related to "add shortcuts in home pages" in play store settings...
It already happened to me on my former phone. But I solved the problem by rebooting the phone
Problems persist... i've done a factory reset but nothing: sometimes it's impossible to install/uninstall applications from Play Store, the progress bar of download stuck at 100% but the app won't install... sometimes it needs some minutes, sometimes it's just instantly... it's something play store server related? If i try to uninstall app from touchwiz it's simply instantly even if however, if go to app list in play store, the app i've just uninstalled is still present in the apps list... .
I noticed that sometimes even the manual update of phone firmware doesn't work and the "checking update page" appears sometimes instantly ans sometimes after some minutes...
Same problems here. Noticed the same when requesting system update for the gear s3 from the phone. Also happening on my tab s3...

Have you tried to update Google play services? And play store to the latest version. Do both of these then boot to recovery and wipe cache and reboot.

Fingers crossed
Some apps have permissions to draw over screen and we need to disable this permission for apps to install correctly. I had a similar issue on my previous phone where the apps were stuck at 99% installation and then just dropped off. I had to literally disable 'Screen overlay' for almost each app for play store to install correctly.
Also, If you are able to sideload apks without any issues then it may be a play store related issue.
Hiya.
I have the same issue, and have for around 1 week now. Only with PlayStore, sideloading works fine
Has someone found a solution for this? I have noticed that sometimes it installs apps without any problems and sometimes remains stuck also for minutes! I can't realize what causes these slow down... maybe is something related to play store servers?
I have the same problem with 100% download and no install afterwards.
But at the same time I noticed two other problems:
- Badge Notification is not working - I don't see the "badge" on app's icon, when I receive messages.
- boon payment app is not working; when I touch screen to activate payment process (NFC chip), it supposed to countdown 60 s, but nothing happens.
I don't know if this is part of same problem. However I've tried - without success:
- reboot phone
- clear data/cache Google Play Store
- clear data/cache Google Play Services
- clear data Badge Provider
- clear data/cache TouchWiz
- reboot to recovery and clear cache
I think there is some process that should be reset (clear)... Any other suggestions? I'd try factory restore as very, very, very last option.

I've tried factory reset (2 times), but didn't help...
Having same issue with S8 and Tab S3. Also notifications are delayed for random amount of time. Some lag and connection timeouts with different applications, not all though.
Tried factory reset couple times, it fixed the problems for a while but after 1-2 hours they came back. Checked with safe mode if some 3rd party app is causing this. Issues remained in safe mode too.
Got it to work for now by clearing cache and data from Google Framework Services and Google Play Store. Lastly removed and re-added my Google account, rebooted device and wiped cache partition.
Notifications are now on time, Play store starts install instantly.
Still afraid that this is only a temporary fix, waiting to see if these problems arise again after few hours of usage.
Seems there is an issue with Google services on some Samsung devices, mainly running Nougat 7.0

Google Play Store Crash or Force Close Error Fix

guys uncheck & disable PlayStore and PlayService app in boost+ battery optimizion and your problem fixed
boost+ change resulation to lower of app in battery optimizion mode and new version of play store have problem with this mode
if problem in downloads of apps disable : Download and downloadmanager app in boost+
This fix didn't work for me.
Google play store would not work for me after deselecting this from the optimize apps in boost+. So I have now uninstalled the boost+ app and I still cannot get google play store to work.
I've tried clearing the cache in play store and play store services but no success there also.
I've also uninstalled updates for google play so I'm now at version 8.3.41.U-all (0) (FP) 170066753
Is there anything else I can try?

I had similar issue, so what I done, unistalled play store updates, then downloaded latest play store apk and installed it. Problem was fixed.
So far, I've tried everything in this thread other than the aptoid suggestion. The error keeps coming back and I'm slowly getting more and more apps that are also crashing. This seems to be since the Oreo update.
I've even done a full factory reset and the errors started coming back less than a week later.
Still no luck in finding a way to make this stop. HTC suggested rolling back to 7.1.1 but this will still factory reset everything. Then I have the added issue of not being on the latest update, leaving me without the most up-to-date security patches.
I've always loved HTC phones (especially the U11) but I'm very fast losing faith.

oos 9.0.6 play store notifications?

Are you guys getting play store app update notifications since updating to the new one vrsersion?
It doesn't seem to appear in my status bar. Any ideas on how to fix this??
It should have been fixed with 9.0.6, however I only get notifications from the Play Store when a new app has been installed. But not for available updates or automatically updated apps.
I got that notification yesterday. Then I turned it off, I don't use those. I thought the bug was that the app download progress was not showing in the notifications. It's fixed now.
I'm still on 9.0.5 and I get them when the phone is locked, but when I unlock the phone there's no actual notification.
to fix this;
Settings-> app & notification->see all apps->3 dot at top & choose show system-> android setup/pixel setup-> clear cache and data.
Then reboot immediately
I am on 9.0.6 Not getting any notifications from play store.
BL Unlocked rooted magisk 17.3.
I'm on 9.0.6, unaltered OP6T, and I'm still not getting play store notifications for new available updates.
When I update an app I do get the progress notification as well as the completion notification, but I haven't been getting any notification saying an update for an app is ready since I got the phone on release day, and 9.0.6 hasn't fixed it.
I tried the Android system clear data trick but that didn't do anything.
Clear data/cache like others have said. Turn on wifi and reboot with wifi on. This fixes it on my phone.

Not working for me neither.
I've cleared the data/cache with Recovery and still not working.
