call recording - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Will it work on the 6t? I just tried call recorder by skvalex and it partially worked. Would it work once rooted?

Try the Magisk call recording module for OnePlus phones. It should enable the stock phone app to record calls.

Ok. I was hoping to stick with the skvalex app

Call recording is by design not wanted by Google, as it's illegal in many countries. AFAIK it depends then on ROM providers to add this feature, and non rooted call recorders will probably don't work. There was this debate in one of my previous op3 phone thread a couple of weeks ago.

No need to root, jOneplus (playstore app) works fine enabling native call recorder in OP6T, tested by myself.
You can also restore this setting after each reboot in the app, if not you will need to restore manually the call recording option.

where does the magisk module store the call recordings?

Issue the following command in an adb shell:
> settings put global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc 1
Unfortunately that will be reset on every reboot.

Does the S3 neo support 2 way call recording?

Hi there!
Some call recorder apps only use the microphone while recording, so that you have to have the speaker on and the audio quality of the person you are talking to is pretty bad. Some call recorders on the other hand support 2 way call recording, which means it records the audio directly. A lot of phones (but far from all) supports 2 way call recording. I don't own a S3 neo, yet, so I wonder if some of you guys have any experience with call recording on the s3 neo? The app that I'm currently using now is called ACR - Another call recorder, and it supports 2 way call recording.
Thanks in advance!
Acr is the best. And working perfectly. Try to change the driver. On my device, everything works just fine and with good loud sound and quality. Peace

BIG thanks for your answer! What do you mean with "Try to change the driver"? What audio source are you using (for example VOICE_COMMUNICATION or VOICE_CALL)?
Check this defaults

NFC Issues - Doesn't turn on

Hi,
I have an issue with my OP5. I'm rooted with Magisk and I tried to use Card Emulator Pro app.
I think the app changed the NFC configuration of the OP5 and I can't turn on the NFC.
I tried to restore to NFC configuration back to default but it doesn't change.
Does anyone here has the same issue ?
Here is my log with the error

Hey, i just fixed it by downgrading it to a earlier version. It must have something to do with the latest version firmware. try with 5.0 it worked for me. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3628190 download it from here. It should fix it but it will perform a factory reset. but no media data will be lost. once downloaded place it on the phone and head to settings->update_then little ... menu and local file.
hope this helps. I use google pay alot so a fix is a must, thought it was hardware issue

OP6 No call recorder????

I have tried joneplus tools and the oos magisk module. It was working on pie just fine but since I have updated to 10.0.1 I cannot get call recording to work whatsoever.
It's working fine for me on OB3. Would like to flash OOS 10.3.0, but would like confirmation first that this is working.
I use call recorder by skvalex from the play store and his magisk mod, way better than one plus stuff.

The call recording oos module wasn't updated for 10/q, but joneplustools works. Keep in mind that it only works with the stock phone app and uses the voice recorder app for playback.

Call recording

Does Poco M3 has auto call recording available?
Not sure about 'auto' call recording but It has call recording option which is provided by Google Dialer.

Global Version to Indonesian Global Version, confirm with auto-recording. I'm using and tested it. But for the Global Version, no auto call recording.
In the global version that only has Google phone dialer app, there is no call recording option.

The Taiwan official ROM (QJFTWXM) has auto call recording, you can unlock the bootloader, and flash the fastboot ROM with Mi Flash Tool, with the clean all and lock option.

How To Guide Viper4Android on NP1: have You successfully installed? (file used and instruction, please)

Viper4Android on NP1: have You successfully installed? (file used and instruction, please)
I think you'll be better using Wavelet nowadays, it is much better UI-wise, it works out of the box with every devices (wired or BT) and has all the most important features to enhance the sonic aspects of your headphones/IEMs. Moreover, Viper4Android hasn't been updated since 2018 (2019 for the unofficial version)... I think it's time to leave it in peace.

Android 12 (Viper4Android)
Has anyone managed to get Viper4Android working on the latest beta of Android 12? The usual methods don't work (makes sense, since its a new OS). Just curious. I like Android 12 so far, but might roll back to 11 if I can't get Viper going...
forum.xda-developers.com
I got it working but the driver is greyed out and not clickable. But I hear it working on my phone if it's in legacy/compability mode. I managed to get it working by following the last guide I shared in the magisk extension thread here. It's for xiaomi phones but also works with NP1. But if I'm going to be honest I don't use V4A it's not good I use Wavelet (from the same creator of V4A) that's much better. My recommendation is give it a rest it's not good anymore, use Wavelet instead.
for who interest...im not sound mod fan
