Is there a "camera bump" on the rear facing camera? - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

I read from: https://9to5google.com/2018/09/19/oneplus-6t-render-leak-partial-camera-fingerprint/ that there wont be a camera bump because of the added phone thickness. However it still looks like there is one. Can someone confirm if the rear camera sticks out of the device?

It does

[Q] Video Calling

I researched and found no data about the focus having a front facing camera. The rep at the AT&T told me that yes it does having a front facing camera.WP7 doesn't yet support it,to wait for the update to enable it.I would like to know if anyone can confirm. My wife has an iPhone 4 and the front facing camera on hers looks like almost the same as on the focus.
There is no front facing camera on the Focus. There are two sensors on the top left front of focus. If the light hits them right I could understand someone mistaking one for a possible camera.
Thanx I appreciate the info.

Rear camera 3MP and Front 2MP on Galaxy Tab 10.1

Is this true according to the spec sheet it states that the rear camera is 3MP and the rear is 2MP but one of the video review was saying that it had 8MP rear camera which makes more sense...I really hope it's not 3MP rear camera right? can somebody confirm this???

I don't think the page is complete or accurate yet.
I wish a tablet does not have rear camera IF that can:
- Reduce the price
- Reduce the weight
- Increase room for more bigger battery
That one feature, rear camera, I will never use it. WHY?
- I have my Android phone with a good camera
- I have my digital camera
- I will look like an idiot holding the tablet for taking picture
I would guess the rear camera is more for augmented reality type apps rather than picture/video taking.
To answer your question, yes the rear camera is 3mp while the front is 2mp. However, keep in mind megapixels is not always telling you the quality of the camera. The important parts of the camera would more be the sensors and lens and such. With this particular camera it has been taking phenomenal shots that is on par with my Dinc that has an 8mp rear camera.

I've been having a play with the camera and it is surprisingly good.
The rear camera is:
10.1v -> 8Mp
10.1 -> 3Mp
Hmm, I am curious why Samsung would reduce the rear camera from 8mpx to 3mpx in the 10.1v vs 10.1?
Granted, I do not see myself using a camera on a tablet for anything too serious, but seems an odd step back from the existing 10.1v.
With the XOOM spec-ing in at 5mpx, and buyers looking at the differentiators (like weight and thickness, SD Card, etc.), I wonder if the rear camera mpx will be a deal breaker for anyone. I would see an 8mpx camera like on the 10.1v as a good differentiator over the XOOM.
Maybe cost is the driver?
...or the new thinness spec required a smaller sensor.

Front facing camera

This may be a stupid question but could we replace the front cam on our devices from lets say the lens on the rear or from another front facing lenses from another device? Reason asking is cause I was wondering to get better quality can on the front of our device....
sent from bigdaddy using xda premium....
Most likely, no. The camera style and lense would have to be the same brand. Sorry.

Samsung Galaxy S5 front&back camera issue

I have a Samsung galaxy s5 and I'm having issues with front and back camera, the quality is too low same in the back and front camera I'm even getting watermarks on the front camera as you can see in this photo. The phone is not fake it's original the screen is quite scratched and the back camera case is also very scratched but I don't really think that's the reason I'm getting the quite-like 3mp camera quality lol.
Is there anyway I can fix this?
Marks on the camera lens would cause the spots all over the screen, they'll likely be tiny and maybe hard to see on the lens
Have you set the MP quality to max in the camera settings? (Cog at the top of your image)

Yes of course I did, it's 16MP.
I don't get the watermarks on the back camera, only on the front one.
The phone also has one problem: Sometimes it turns on normally, the sound of booting can be heard but it doesn't show any sign on the screen. Can this problem be fixed without changing the whole digitizer?
Well that's pretty obvious, if there are watermarks using one camera and not the other, then there are watermarks on one camera lens, and not the other... (Or a faulty front camera)

Front facing camera out of focus.

Anyone else having issues with the front facing camera not wanting to focus?
I attached 2 pics, using both front and rear cameras from the same distance.
And no there is no film over my lens, tapping to focus doesnt do anything and all beauty filters are off.
Have you tried from different distances?

This is with the front facing camera, sorry for the separate post, it kept failing to attach
Yes tried from different distances as well.
Heres another example but with slightly more distance (a little over a foot away)
And I have no idea why my images get flipped when posted on XDA. Oh well you get the point
