Tab E car head unit - Samsung Galaxy Tab E Questions & Answers

I'm trying to set up a Tab E 8.0 running Android 7.1.1 as the head unit for a Jaguar XK8. I finally got an OTG that actually works. Now I'm stuck at getting audio out via USB. I have Developer Options open and can open USB configuration and select the Audio source button, but USB configuration does not change from MTP. USB debugging is off and Prevent USB audio routing is off.
Any suggestions?

ROOTED Nexus 6P on 8.0.0 not recognizing Hootoo Shuttle powered hub

Hello all,
As the title states, I'm having an issue with my 6P recognizing my Hootoo Shuttle (type c hub). I was using this on my G6 that was running 7.1.1 and not rooted (T-mobile) and it would connect, receive power and show my files in either stock or ES File Explorer. I've done a search on here for "hootoo", "Powered Hub", "Android 0 Powered Hub" and "USB Options" and it all seems to be product reviews.
Problem: when I attach the hub to my Nexus it will recognize files if I don't have a power source connected. If I have a power source connected first it will charge my phone, but not recognize any drive I plug in. I've gone into the Developer Options to ensure debug was on (left on after root) and messed with the USB option for toggling between charging, MTP, PTP etc. Again, this hub (Hootoo Shuttle, designed for macbook bla bla) worked on my G6 running 7.1.1 no matter the order of operation.
can anyone offer any insight? Thank you

Android Head Unit is not recognized by PC

I have an error android head unit and have found a way on how to fix it from the other thread, "Need Help To Recover Bootlooped China Head Unit (Android 8.1 Go) AC8227L" started by Azmil2307, here on xda.
I have followed the instruction such as installing mediatek vcom driver, flashtool, male to male usb, firmware, but the problem is the PC still could not detect the head unit's USB connection. When i connected it using male to male usb, no connecting sound at all.
Do you guys know whats the possible solutions for this problem?
thanks,

I opened unit and saw where the 2 usb go but I do not have enough experience to go further :silly:
I tried to connect directly to the cable USB dvd but my pc still does not detect, dvd makes noise when connected so it's powered, but no DATA goes to the computer
Any resolution to this, i have the same issue. I also cannot get an adb connection via wifi. Any help or knowledge on why this is happening would be great.
Thanks.

Junsun V1 pro no Usb

Hi I don't know if this is the right place for this post, I'm new here.
I have a problem with my Junsun V1 PRO, it does not detect me the USB, in hidden configuration of the radio, in the code 8878, and in the Others section, I do not see the USB, instead there is Ihone-Eth ????
Are there any forum members, who have the same thing happening to them?
Could it be a firmware issue?
As it does not detect me, or not having the USB option, I will not be able to update a future higher version of the firmware.
The USB cables are well connected, I have tried with the two that came with the radio, and also another adapter to use the original USB of the car. With none of them the USB option appears in the hidden menu of the radio.
My car is HYUNDAI TUCSON 2015-2018.

SP7731E TS7.4.5-100 HU Root or how access USB debugging with PC?

Hello, I have chinese radio with these spec:
CPU: Quad-SL8141E
Android: 10
Hardware info: sc7731e_1h10_v1.1.0 (sometimes it says SC7731e... and in other places it states SP7731e..., not sure what I have )
MCU: Ts7.4.5-100-13-A2A39D-220104 (whatever that is)
I'm looking for a way to root it OR access radio through USB debugging. I need to resize my screen as screen nearby borders is very insensitive (I found this ADB overscan command).
I couldn't find any root for this device, or maybe I can't search, maybe you know something?
Other thing is that I don't have option to turn debugging over Wi-Fi, there's only USB debugging option in developer settings (engineer mode or something like that also doesn't include that option). So I bought USB cable with type A male on both plugs, but I guess that won't work because I can't see this device on my laptop. Like the head unit is in host mode or something, not device mode? Maybe that I can change to "device" so it acts like smartphone when connected to PC? Terminal emulator doesn't work, root required to enter adb commands.
I'm completely exhausted with this screen and unit, many options missing, although it's working fine.
Or maybe there is a way to extract rom image from this head unit, copy to pc, edit it on PC so it has root and then update head unit with "fixed" rom?

Android Headunit and Computer won't Connect via USB

I have an XYAuto headunit 9212A (says android 12 but likely 9 or 10) and I cannot get it and my Win10 laptop to recognize the male to male USB cable (3.0) connection. Here is all the things I've done to isolate the issue:
- headunit reads usb memory sticks fine (directly connected and connected with an adapter). Same for the laptop.
- tested all usb ports on computer and all are working
- tested several cables, all are fine
- changed headunit settings between both "device" and "host"
- chnaged protocols between the only two settings of usb 1.0 and 2.0
- tried disabling bluetooth and wireless (grasping for straws)
- installed latest MTP usb drivers
- installed latest XYAuto firmware
Any help is very appreciated!!
