Of course feel free to mod it to get it working on more devices. Just if you post it up please copy the credits so the work by the teams involved is recognized (just look at the end of my post for their details)
I would suggest you try the 5.1 custom ROM I uploaded as this is much more stable and my daily driver. Battery life is off the scale compared to stock OS, and everything except the sensors work. Who really needs to know their fake heart rate anyway...
I also have a EMUI ROM available if you want it, but the dpi is messed up and as such you need to drive the icon size way down to get the screen to look usable - which in turn makes it unusable. However you might have better luck on a different watch.
Keep us updated and share if successful.

Hi,
I have tried the ROM on my LEM5 (not Pro) without enabling the pre-loader. At first everything works fine when going through the initial setup, but right after getting to the home screen it hangs and gets into a boot loop unfortunately. So had to revert back to my previous ROM, do you think it would possible to create a non-Pro version as well?
Thanks.

Unfortunately I only own an X5 Air so wouldn't be able to test anything I ported for other devices. I don't want to take up peoples time asking them to test things out that have a high chance of not working. Its just 10 fold easier having the device at hand to debug it.
I personally found this build too buggy for my liking, and I experienced the occasional reboot / kernel panic.
Have you tried the Resurrection Rom (5.1)? - its far more stable.
I just done this to see if nougat could run on the older kernel.

Thanks for your response, I will give the Resurrection Rom a try.

X-Bo V5 handset with MT6580 and 3.10.72 kernel SPFT
Hi,
I have an X-Bo V5 handset with an MT6580 chipset and 3.10.72 kernel. Do you know where I can get an custom rom based on Lineage OS for this, NOT using TWRP (must be SP Flash Tool).
I thought your rom was it, but I realise it's for a smart watch! The download process completed with a success tick, but it bricked my phone lol. Luckily I was able to restore the stock rom.
Any ideas where I can get a Lineage OS based rom for X-Bo V5 handset with MT6580 chipset and 3.10.72 kernel? Must have scatter file for installation using SP Flash Tool, twrp cannot work on this device.

There only appears to be official firmware for the X-Bo that I've came across anyway. If TWRP is unavailable for the device then this would probably attribute to the lack of custom firmware available. Your best bet would be finding a generic MT6580 rom and porting it into your existing SP files.
You only really need system.img and boot.img however will than more likely - unless you are very lucky with file sizes - need to create a fresh scatter file. Ive used WR_MTK_v2.30 a few times and the scatter function works well. There are some excellent guides here on xda.
Good luck.

Thanks CerebralFlex!
Can you recommend a no-frills generic MT6580 rom I could try? I’ve clicked on so many dead links lol
Peter

Hi, Im a little confused with this custom rom thing. Ive got a Phillips S358 phone with the processor and kernel specified on the op, will it work or is it only for some specific devices?

Sorry for the delay mate; its hard to suggest a generic rom cause peoples idea of generic differs a fair bit, but if I was too suggest anything, it would be Lineage OS. See if you can find a MT6580 port, or better yet, try and find a phone similar in hardware to your X-Bo and see if there is one for that.
By this I mean, I'm using the Finow X5 smartwatch, and this shares very similar hardware to say the Infinix X510 (Hot 2) so I can near enough get any rom for the X510 booting on the smartwatch.
Just keep an eye on your kernel level and and your good to go if your current kernel matches.
So say: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hot-2/orig-development/rom-t3596838
If your X-Bo is running Marshmallow and 3.18.x then this has a good chance at working.

Hi
There is a good chance it will work yes, but you will need to port it using your stock resources. Pretty much as long as the ROM matches your processor and kernel level then it will be possible to get it to boot up. Its just a matter of if any specific hardware (native to Phillips) is used, you will need to adapt the drivers in the ROM to utilize it. So things like the camera for example is a pain to get working and even some of the most experienced chefs out there cant get it to work properly.
All part of the fun and games learning to port software.
But in short, no, this ROM as downloaded, is for the Finow X5 smartwatch. But nothing stopping you importing your kernel to the boot.img and giving it a bash.

Peter

Can i port it for a mobile phone

I use the x5 air and when I get into this rom, the finow logo has been flashing, unable to access the boot logo. So how can I fix this error, thanks. Sorry for my bad english

Reflash stock ROM using SP Flash Tool
I'm not sure why it wont boot for you, I suggest using TWRP to flash the Lineage or RR ROM I posted a while back. These both work better than Viper.

I downloaded all 3 of your Roms and none worked , I use TWRP 303 by jemmini

Correct, and insert the fully operational.

Does anyone have idea, why? Wipe cache&davlik cache done. I also played with other GAPPS, but no success. I also read somewhere that xposed can cause, so I removed it also, but I run out of ideas...

(///////////////////////////////) FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
-Will you make this for the T705, T800, T805, T-whatever ?
I only own the T700, which allows me to test the builds myself and to ensure the best experience for that model.
However, the T800 will probably get some love soon and I will post a test build in the near future, since it is easy to develop for wifi only models.
As for the T805, I think that variant runs with a Snapdragon chip, so it would be very unlikely to see my rom for you guys. But then again, I might be very kind one day and try to make a test build, stay tuned
___
-Will 'superdupergreatdabeast' custom Kernel v.1318342 with overclocking at 2884092GHz (help I've fried my tablet) work on this ROM? Will Synapse work ? SELinux Permissive ?
Yes, and feel free to use any Kernels that are compatible with Lollipop touchwiz I might include my own soon.
___
-How come Netflix or (insert any google play store apps here) doesn't work ? WHY ? WAT U DO FOR NO WORKING SIR
My ROM is based on Official firmware, and although the stock kernel used has init.d enabled, it is still a very stock kernel, in no way modified. So your problem with said app is related to the developer behind this app not working properly on Stock Touchwiz 5.0.2; Blame Samsung, not me
___
Been waiting for this. ?

Very excited for this ROM, will there be an option to add back some of the non-crucial Samsung apps if we want them?

Depending on the app, you could either pull the apk or perhaps someone might have it. Presuming the OP doesn't have an option on install (like aroma).
This made my weekend.
Yay, a zip based LL install! Much more convenient than Odin (in my opinion of course )
Thanks!
I'm excited too!! Looking forward to this.
Thanks boss for efforts.
I must say, may be my opinion is in minority, any twz rom has no sense with this crazy tiny interface. It is way to small for me... I us now any aosp/ cm rom with 384 or 400 dpi and it fits perfectly for me.
Thanks for the support guys I'm uploading it as we speak, check out the download section for the screenshot Should be ready in around 2 hours; and yes, my upload speed is terrible
I've decided to release an early Release Candidate build because there is one tiny issue with the fingerprint lock method, it says that "an error has occured with the fingerprint sensor' when you choose the option in Lock Screen.
It might be a small issue with the fingerprint apk after it has been deodexed because it works with odex files. Still trying to sort this issue out. But other than that, the whole ROM is working perfectly as expected, so I didn't want to keep you guys waiting
I'll upload a small update file once I fix the problem so that you guys can flash it on top of the Release Candidate ! Anyways heading to uni, should be uploaded when I get back

I agree to an extent.
A "non tiny" TW rom would be perfect.

By 'non tiny', do you mean a bigger interface ? Yeah, I suppose I could work on that. Once I get a stable release, I was thinking about theme-ing the SystemUI and framework res anyways.

Yeah, I mean the font size across applications such as gmail, Facebook, but most importantly...Chrome!
Adjusting the system font size unfortunately doesn't help....the system menus just become too huge.
Anyway, it's not a huge deal.
THE ROM IS UPLOADED ! HAPPY FLASHING I'm using this as a daily driver for the last 15hours, and haven't found any issues apart from the fingerprint one. So you should have no problem, but if you do, don't hesitate to share it with me, I'll be happy to help

cheers mate, installing now.
With dpi 380 or 400 (stock is 320) everything is set perfectly. Then just small font adjustments for system and/ or specific apps which have this option...
Strange... did all the recommendation before flashing ROM (tick system in mount, latest TWRP...) and stuck at Samsung Galaxy Tab S Logo (first phase). I've waited 15 mins and still bootlooping... what I did wrong?

Hmm, have you checked the md5 to make sure you got a good download of the ROM? Something like that happened with my Note 4..

Wow a nice suprise, a new rom to try on find5. Gonna try and test soon!!
Seems nice but I'm having some issues with bluetooth. My plantronics voyager HD pairs fine but it doesn't seem to work with the dialer. In fact whenever the voyager is paired with the phone the dialer begins to act strangely, whether I'm using it or not.

Thanks for the comments. In future, please post in English. I used Google translate to get what you wanted to say in the comments.
Everything works fine, except for a few moments !!
1. 3g network, when viewing video, web surfing much battery consumption !!
2. When switching to wi-fi for mobile internet connection sometimes does not happen, the transition is treated in a flight mode and back !!
3. There is a heated processor and rapid discharge of the battery !!
************************************************************************
Battery consumption might be an issue. Please be aware that this ROM is still in Alpha stage. I will try to optimize the kernel and Android behavior to reduce the battery usuage. Thanks for the use-case. I will keep you posted with the updates.

Sorry, I've already moved on to ColorOS. This is the unit I was using (link)
I had the same issue with an unofficial CM 13 build I found.
Just wanted to say thanks for keeping find5 alive! The ROM is working great, I haven't yet discovered a single flaw. Battery life is good, much better than Mokee 5.1 I was using before. Thanks!

No idea. If it has the similar HW specs as find5, it should work.
You can try if you have custom recovery and are not worried about data loss [emoji56] [emoji56].
Would be great to get an answer to the question though. I will look into the specs tomorrow and tell you for sure.

Quick search revealed that find5 mini is mediatek dual-sim phone.
So this or any other find5 ROM is incompatible with find5 mini. Don't flash it otherwise you might brick your device.
This ROM is only for original oppo find5 with Qualcomm processor apq8064.
Wow, this ROM is great already! I haven't been able to find a single bug yet, and I'm using the ROM for some days now.
Performance: great. fast, no hangs, no reboots, no crashes
Battery usage: fine. in standby it uses almost nothing, similar to other ROMs. when in use it seems battery usage seems normal to me, don't think there is much to win from this older more inefficient CPU. Downclock feature would be nice (possible with Stweaks on my Samsung S4, helped a lot)
WiFi/Network performance: great. I'm using the latest modem firmware from Oppo I think. Can't choose 2G over 3G manually tough, it always tries to connect to 3G if possible now.
The camera app and lockscreen does a perfect job, no crashes or other bugs (in comparison to latest crDroid).
My top 4 wishlist for this phone/ROM:
-LVM support edit: already there I used instructions from crDroid ROM page
-More sensitive touchscreen! (kernel thing, should be possible because its a Synaptics device right?)
-USB OTG support (kernel thing, I can apply external voltage for the slave)
-'Offline' charging (not working I believe)
Well, you made me love my Oppo Find 5 for sure . It's my daily ROM now, it's so stable. This is the procedure I did for installing this ROM, not all steps needed but it surely works this way :
1. flash stock ColorOS + partitions with OPPO Chinese recovery tools for a bricked device (PM me if you want the tools)
2. flash latest stock ColorOS V2.0.0i Beta (also to have latest modem firmware etc.)
3. flash twrp-3.0.2-0-find5.img (or LVM-supported one) when in fastboost using Android SDK tools, let it update the display firmware
4. format/clean every partition in twrp, flash your PAC-rom, flash latest (zero) slimgapps (opengapps did not work, ''unknown ROM" error)
5. reboot and enjoy
Ok, after about two weeks of using, I'm starting to get Bluetooth issues with my Miband 1s. Bluetooth connection is sometimes gone and unable to recover. I have to disable/enable Bluetooth, then it's working again, at least for some time. Most of the time the issue appears when getting out of reach, but not always. It's not really reproducible I'm afraid.
I don't believe it has to do with the Miband, because on a previous 5.1 ROM it was working flawlessly. Anyone else having similar issues with permanently connected Bluetooth devices?

yes ,at first i thought the earphones given are of cheap quality , but when i tried them on nexus device & computer i was shocked that the quality is much better than most of the mid range sony, senheiser sets , i figured that the problem is in the device itself ,the audio DAC is of poor quality , unfortunately we cannot do anything about it other than trying some fake solutions like equalizers, music players etc..

wow so amazing, can't wait to try it!
hello, is it a problem if the phone is on OneUI 9?
In the F.A.Q it's wriiten that we must have oreo bootloader.
And in the OP it's witten that we must flash A/B GSI but in the F.A.Q it's witten A_ONLY, whitch GSI must we flash?
Edit : there is also 2 "system image" when i select the gsi img
Edit 2 : I finally made it! We must effectivly have Oreo bootloader, flash a A/B GSI on the 2nd "system image" partition. The only issue now is that the audio is broken, even with the "Audio_Fix" provide in the OP. Thanks for your work!

hello, after a while i retry this vendor.
I retry audio fix but i can't get the audio working.
After testing i also discovered that camera is broken.
I attach a logcat
I realy appreciate your work in this device, keep up and thanks
I have been trying to use this for J330F (J3 2017 SM-J330F/DS) and each time everything installs fine, The vendor script, the kebab install and the GSI rom to the second system partition. (Tried first partition as well)
But I always end up unable to boot and the phone defaults to download mode when I reboot.
Im assuming I have missunderstood a step in the process or something becouse its over 10 GSI A only A64 binder I have tried.
Steps I have taken:
Booted to TWRP.
Flashed `Exynos7570_CreateVendor 2.0 (Ive also tried Universal7570_repartitioner .zip in some reinstalll attempts
3.Wiped System, Cache, Vendor and formated data.
A. When coming from stock I have tried both RMM_Bypass_v3 by Corsicanu and Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_Quota_08.02.2019 by ashyt16
When not on stock and those bypasses are already flashed I have installed Kebab 2.0 (and 1.5)
GSI Rom installation.
Tried almost all GSI A only - A64 Roms i could find, as well as a bunch I know is the wrong versions (Like Arm64) just in case I missunderstood what version is meant for this device.
RadicalQuackV2 works and all normal roms for the device installs just fine, and Im no expert but I have flashed roms for many years so I think I have followed the instructions correctly...but obviously I F*cked up somewhere.
Heelp please

hi, thanks for the work you have made on this project. i have been trying to solve the audio bug, but i can t find a way to. i have tried multiple GSI and in all of them the system build.prop the audio and camera entries are missing, beside this, the audio related services wont run or crash.
i have questioning in diverse places and the majority say that the "no audio bug" is due to audio driver in kernel or audio Hal. i hope that the the solution is near and pardon if i am wrong in any aspect.
if you need any kind of help just ask. keep up and thanks again
