HTC One 4.3 list of features

Guys don't crucify me if there is a list out there I just couldn't find it using the xda app
Is there a distinct list of new features for this update. I know it will differ from the gpe 4.3 but I'd like to know evergthing that HTC has thrown in to coalesce with 4.3
If anyone has the official thread for this then please post it and maybe it could go in the sticky with some other links such as 4.1 ,4.2 updates etc
Cheers

Actually, lockscreen widget and lowered sound volume (as well as toggles in the notification panel) were part of the 4.2 already.
Camerafix is also a very doubtful topic.
Android 4.3 in HTC One incarnation doesn't bring that much to the table, sure always better to have the newest one if possible. But nothing to go crazy about.
Lowered sound volume? That better not be part of the update. That will ruin a good thing IMO

I think from those in the states that hot left behind with 4.1.2 jumping to 4.3 is a big upgrade .

Well, there's the TRIM thing that Google finally implemented. Will help stop the phone from becoming slow over time.

you can always turn down the volume as it is now.. if they permanently lower the volume they're just hand holding the people who don't have any common sense..
From 4.1.2 to 4.3, I've noted:
-Long press Home for menu (no more 3 dot bar at the bottom), swipe up from Home for Google Now (enabled in Display, Gestures and Buttons)
-Quick Settings in Notification
-Autobrightness is better balanced (IMO, but definitely changed)
-Notification vibration pulses longer than before
-Camera shutter seems faster
-Better integration of features in Notification. For example, phone call notification has call back and text options.
-Google hangouts message preview in Notification.
-Better battery life, I would say about 15% based on how much juice I now have left at the end of the day.
Others?

Here are a few minor ones I picked up after the update (in addition to what you contributed).
-Soft buttons fade in and fade out
-TV App updated (so much better imo, but missing still missing some basic intuitive tasks [you can't delete a room..?])
-Power Saver quick toggle removed from notification swipedown
-Can show battery % level after enabling it from settings
-Headphone output decreased (I swear, it used to be louder at max settings)
Those are pretty much what i picked up in addition to what was mentioned above.

Also, you now have to turn the TV app off in Notifications. Used to be able to back out if using the Back button.
I wish they made the battery percentage a new battery icon instead of an additional item in the notification tray.
I've actually noticed a better battery life too
I'm starting to prefer sense over stock for some strange reason aswell

Would not call it a feature, but there is a new icon in the notification bar when NFC is turned on. Kinda annoying.
Telus for those on TT that can't easily read signatures.

I noticed you wrote "Power Saver quick toggle removed from notification swipedown". How do you do that without disabling power saver mode?

I think he's referring to the annoying space it takes up in the notification shade
I've posted about this as its now baked in and you can disable the notification in the apps option and still have power saver running

Don't understand how people can complain about too loud sound having an option to turn it down?

Because the lowest volume setting is still too loud. So it's left between obnoxiously loud, really loud, loud and mute.

Quiet mode question

Ok so I have this activated so as to stop being woken in the night by email notifications etc however I have noticed that when I have daydream set to activate (I use the phone in a stand by my bed as a night/alarm clock) that the daydream clock is a little bright. So, when I switch that off so the screen is just black that when an email comes in through the night the green led is really bright.
Is there anyway to disable this along with the notification sounds when quiet mode is enabled.
I would ideally like to have a bedside clock app that is quite dark that acts as an alarm but also disables all notifications sounds and the led.

I use tasker to set the phone in silent mode under certain conditions and lightflow to control the led. Both are found in the store, tasker is quite advanced.
AutomateIt is perfect for this. I set vibrate mode on at 12am and vibrate +sound on at 7am. I like it better than the Quiet mode
I find that the daydream clock is a little bright for me at night but if I switch that off then the led works and is really bright. I need a 3rd party app that has a night clock and also the ability to silence notifications and led

No upcoming alarm notification?

Hi,
I've noticed that on my s7 edge, if I set an alarm in the clock app, I don't seem to be able to get an "Upcoming Alarm" notification like I do with the google clock app (It gives you the ability to dismiss the upcoming alarm)
Is this normal behaviour? Does anyone else get notifications of upcoming alarms with the Samsung clock app? I get a little alarm icon on the status bar but nothing else.
Thanks,
Darth
Anyone?

Smart pop up view with normal notification possible?

Fourth paragraph is the question If don't want the explanation lol:
OK so smart pop up is an alright feature I think! Reminds me of the old galaxy days and the Roms made for it with the same feature ☺. Is it called heads up display?
Anyway the thing it's missing is it only pops up the bubble and doesn't show any info forcing you to swipe down and look at the physical noticstion bar to see the info on the notification.
This makes me want to not use it for my messaging apps(the only reason to) because much like Facebook messenger it helps to see the message pop up for a second.
Basically my question is can we somehow even with an app enable normal notifications to pop up like they do with smart view off but still alao have smart view enabled.
I don't see why Samsung hides the physical notification and just has a bubble pop up it should be both! The bubble is just convenient to have as an option to view notifications over other apps lol. ?*

Sorry basically I'm asking to have both the bubble and normal notification come up as it does if smart view were to be disabled for that app! If both can work simutanesouly. Or if an app can achieve the same effect. I don't like most the apps that do bubble notifications just not as fluid as the old custom Roms or Facebook messengers version.

The edge lighting flashes the edge of the phone with a message notification, the popup bubble then appears and if i pull down shade the notifications are also there.
I don't think i could miss a notification with all 3 , short of a hammer popping out of the screen and smashing my head. ??

Thank you it must be Google messages this works great with other apps but my sms app isn't compatible with the edge notify [emoji17] lol. Oh well maybe added support for that app in future.

Works well with Yaata sms app, i only use this app because i can block unwanted messages with keywords. I haven't found any other apps that do this.
