All the apps were tested on a 64bit device, Samsung Galaxy A5 2017, running Oreo A8 2018 port, with signature check fully disabled and fully permissive kernel.
I cannot guarantee they will work on other devices/roms/kernels, please do note some of the apps require signature check fully disabled and probably fully permissive kernel too.
Hello guys, i'm here to share some Pie apps working on Oreo, most of them from the US Pie Beta, launched last week, some of them from apkmirror too.
Rom Devs - As per Rule 12, you can include any of these apps in your ROMs, granted that you provide proper credits to myself and the contributors of this project.
Failure in doing so will result in a thread report. The apps have been backported and i can recognise my parts of code anywhere.

Special requirements:
-signature check fully disabled - would be good to be disabled even though I was able to install most of the apps on Note8 stock rom with custom kernel
How to install:
Method 1. Flash the aroma zip and select the apps you want to install (do note flashable zip is in alpha stage, may or may not work as expected)
Method 2. Manually replace existing apps in the system with downloaded ones (using adb, Android Total Commander file system plugin, make your own flashable zip etc.)
At first boot after flashing it's mandatory to:
For Contacts/Dialer/InCallUI you need to set new phone app as default from Settings-Apps-Default apps-Phone-select new dialer; go back to Apps-Show system apps, go into each Phone app and manually grant all permissions.
Other notes:
To use these apps it's required to have root and/or custom recovery installed, stock unrooted roms will fail in installing most of the apps.
Always backup your current setup before flashing something maybe incompatible.
In order to avoid breaking the sync with Samsung Cloud i tried to preserve original signature. This means apps cannot be installed as normal apps, will work only if placed in system.

You don't need necessarily Magisk or another root manager, but in order to install the apps you need a custom kernel with full SELinux Permissive and Signature Check disabled in your firmware.

Edit: I think I installed all possible ones. I saw that you had to disable signature check and I don't have root.

2. click 'Remove account'. Don't worry, it's not deleting your physical account. Account related information is still saved in Google.
3. Launch Google Play Store again
4. When asked, use existing account to create the google account.
5. Provide your existing google account information (email & password)
6. try again to download
Based on my experience, whenever I got the 921 error, cleaning cache and data for google play store app does not work.
Another work around is creating a second google account. But I believe many people do not want to maintain multiple account on one phone.

F1 GalaxyNexus is a ROM built entirely from Google's ICS source code. The main idea behind this was to give users the experience of pure ICS as it is on the Galaxy Nexus with no visual changes and ZERO bloatware or any 3rd party app. F1 GalaxyNexus is just plain AOSP ICS with under the hood tweaks, optimizations and the features to make AOSP a little bit better. Flashed. Loving the ROM, it's very fast and very fluid. Only one big issue, it won't detect my internal SD. I've rebooted like 3 or 4 times and still no luck. My battery is almost fully drained so I have to recharge, I want to keep this ROM on but I need to be able to get into my SD card. I can open it through a file manager but my Gallery, Camera and some other things won't work properly since the ROM isn't reading it. Is there a way to somehow get it to read it, or will I need to flash something else for the time being?

I can open it through a file manager but my Gallery, Camera and some other things won't work properly since the ROM isn't reading it. well I don't know about the mods, but I don't think that's a good idea. It makes it a pain in the ass to separate issues between different ports, or to even find ports within the thread.

There should be an option in Aroma for either LB or UB. Don't have the Z2 myself so if anyone can confirm that would be great.

Loosing connection all the time while downloadin. Even with DAP I loose connection and I am trying to download the 3rd time. How I hate these chinese servers.

Quick Note: Ok guys this is a little different than install method than other ROMS.
Instructions
1. You must download this First Deodexed-Base Installer
2. Boot to recovery and do a FULL WIPE!!! Very important
3. Install the Deodexed Base Installer. It will say no OS is installed just like the Stock/Rooted/busybox ROM from @sonofskywalker3, but its ok just swipe reboot anyway.
4. After you complete the Setup process and phone is on the main home screen, let phone sit for a few minutes.

I had zero issues at all restoring all 125 apps I use from titanium backup.
Stupid DEV host sucks. I always have a hard time downloading the files from here. Every time I try to click on the numerous download signs it just takes me to BS sites. I cant seem to get the files.

I had same problem... Hold the big blue download buttom down and it will open a new tab in background and then start downloadingIt failed a few times but finally got it!

Installed and booted up fine! Quik boot time to set up screen Let sit for a few and rebooted into recovery and flashed adv. settings zip and all went perfect... I use LGback up for my apps/ Homescreen etc...All restored:thumbup: Everything seems smooth with no problems thus far! Gonna finish setting up and test all features and will report back ***Great job my friend, look forward to more awesomeness on this bad boy!!!!

As far as I know there's no USB mass storage since Android version 4x. And yes MTP works just fine.

But no issues to manage internal/external with local apps.

- I still have the GPS stuck issue...
Did you see the changes on the Yume AOSP on GPS?
- I'm pretty sure the persons I called had somme echo issues. it happen with the 2 persons I called for a "long" time.

Hi,
Photo problems again on the 3th march version.
Still (had it on a lot of Oreo ROMS, never before...) have the GPS issue on it...
On the last version, I made it work changing the gps.conf.
With this version, it seems worse....

Do you need some logs?
Here is a log for camera.
I just opened normal cam and take picture.
Open op5 bacon port and take one too.
Then I tried video and boths apps were OK.

I'm taking a backup. GPS still locked but I know I have to install OOS to reset it...
Will test others functions but seems really fluid

- USB mount did not work at first. Had to activate it twice, and activating aagain USB debog
- DTTW need kernel audiutor setting to work
- Photo and video OK. Panorama broken. HDR ok. didn't have time to check exactly slowmo...
- I unlocked GPS by reflashing OOS in between. Will try to figure why or what lock it this time !!
Will tell if echo on call is still here but it was gone on last build.
