Any improvements in battery? Also sometimes cpu frequency is stuck to 1401 MHz, is it fix also?

Im currently on september build, i experienced random freezes daily especially when playing games. it last up to 3-5secs. May I know if this was already fixed on october build ? Thanks.

If they fixed the memory speed as it looks like it should be better yes.

Can someone confirm if they corrected the write Speed?

in Android firmware 8.1.0_V9.6.14.0.ODIMIFE BETA, a huge improvement in bluetooth.
Previously, the sound was interrupted when you turn the head, now the phone is behind the wall in 5 meters and everything is playing normally

Overclocking Opal 100

OVERCLOCKING LEADS TO MEMORY LEAKS AND CAN BE SEVERE IN SOME CASES.PLEASE OVERCLOCK AT YOUR OWN RISKS
I have tried Overclocking my Opal 100 at various clockspeeds on a WM6.5 ROM,Build 21889..but i seem to NOT have got the correct clockspeed coz i am experiencing frequent problems with my ROM.Current clockspeed is set to 264MHz,but the program memory shoots up when the device escalates in tym after a soft reset....Any 1 having overclocked his device and is HAPPY with the feedback Opal is giving, please mention the clockspeed with the current ROM version...thanks.
Device has been overclocked with OMAP CLOCK PLUS...here's the link if any1 needs to test it...{If you want to overclock your Viva, download the cab file from here:

yes.....im ultimately happy..using omap clock....and omap clock keep....opal is always on 276mhz....havent ever heard of or experienced a memory leak..
I'm stable @ 252 MHz with Jagan's Evo2 ROM for 2 months now!
However, I'll try to run it @ 264 MHz to get rid of the camera noise problem. I will reply to this thread with the results. I won't test it at 276 MHz, at least not in the summer anyway!
Please if you overclock your device, tell us the speed and the program you're using.

Oh and i found a problem with the latest OMAPclock in that linik,
So i have uploaded a decent one.
I just had to report this, I found a really weird solution to the Windows Media Player, Playlist bug (EVO 2 and 2.5) (Have reported this in that thread as well but thought posting it here will do some good too.). lol. Overclocking!
For some odd reason my device volume has also shot up, (without any distortion wat so ever), side effects of overclocking?

I finally found some courage to test my device @ 276 MHz. The test was successful so far, no problems, and no excess heat. And the camera problem is gone.
At this frequency I can actually feel the performance difference, as the device becomes more responsive and fluid.
Just tried the 276MHZ. VIVA become super fasts... Everything is very sippy. Nice, thanks for the help. I am with default OS

Improve icecream Roms performance(ram usage)

hey guyz.i,ve been using Arconium ICS and i noticed Phone app and setting open terribly slow.so here is what i did to get them smoother.
just go to setting ,developer options and choose at most 2 processes from background procces limit bar.don,t choose don,t keep activities cause it will kill launcher every time.try and see for your selves.hope this helps
anybody else tried this?
use my touchscreen, responsiveness and battery tweaks from the android development subforum for xperia arc. i have been read the last post about the governor and the rampling too. i've been ggetting over 18 hours on an average already. (those tweaks were for the ics beta, i bet i can tweak it more).
I am having problems with some games like Backstab and real racing 2..they crash when they load..I think it's a matter of a driver issue and not related to RAM availability..

games use a lot of ram. getting out of ram can cause FCs. (try reducing your vm heap to 20 and see what it does to the other apps )
Thanks for sharing bro, it just help to improve responsiveness a little bit. It's really annoying that when u tap the dialer and few seconds later it appear...lol
are u kerenl is doom v4?
orgain kerenl is slow
Guys, just supercharge your phone. Details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533044
It's working great for me on stock ICS and just wanted to share.
After you supercharge the dialer & sms apps only lag the "first" time you open them after a reboot. After that they open pretty much instantaneously (unless you run a massive app which uses all the phones memory) in which case it will lag the first time after closing the massive app.
You can bullet proof apps of your choice including dialer, sms, launcher etc.
For me the overall smoothness of ICS is noticable.

This is definitely the way to go! Don't go crazy and bulletproof everything or else you'll end up with the same problem but definitely do the basics and you'll notice a difference for sure, without having to drop down to 2 background processes.

[MOD]Disable CPU rendering/Full GPU rendering/Improve the performance of your GPU

Introduction:
The UI of android keeps improving as updates from the android team keep flowing in. There has been a massive improvement in the aesthetics and looks of the system UI from the ancient Eclair till Jelly Bean. With improving UI and better graphics the system keeps becoming an resource hog. All android smartphones these days come with a separate GPU to satisfy the graphics rendering needs of the apps these days. However the GPU doesn’t exactly help in rendering of the system UI that means the load falls of the CPU to render the system UI and other system framework.
so here is a Mod that will disable CPU rendering and enable full GPU rendering, which will let you enjoy the true power of your adreno200!
Improvements:
-Improved performance.
-Blazing speed.
-Better sound quality.
-Improved responsiveness.
-Smoother UI experience.
-Some apps(bloatware) that earlier ran slow like Facebook will turn snappy.
-Free up CPU for other tasks.
requirements:
-Rooted device
-CWM installed 4 or 5!
How to install:
1-Download the file.
2-boot to recovery mod.
3-Make a nandroid backup just in case.
4-install zip from sdcard.
5-choose Zip from sdcard and choose the file.
6-Reboot your device!

[REVIEW]5.1 Soak Test

Well, this review is based on my opinion so... let's start.
Motorola finally release his 5.1 soak test for us and, me, i was very anxious to test it, when i've installed it, i was a bit disappointed...
First thing i noticed is the smoothness, analysing it closely i noticed that it's not so smooth like CM12.1... changing launcher to NOVA doesn't even help, the system is a bit laggy, even if you overclock your CPU for max speed you can feel some lag... applock doesn't work here i don't know why and on games, the performance is good as CM12.1, but the fluidity on the system is not good, but hey, it's just a test version, let's hope that the final OTA doesn't come with these problems... and i almost forgot, the battery is really good on soak test.
And if you are reading this, let your review here :good:
I dont know what soak test you tried, but mine, is 100% smooth, battery life is the same like other roms, the system, is amazing how smooth is it. You should wipe data and start again like i did... The only problem i have is the memory for apps..
@jonaaa Honestly no system slowdowns yet seriously same as CM 12.1 it's fluid for me, i like Cm more coz of features like that and battery is better in CM for me, Dialer part is not good in CM for Multi Sim users especially Sim selection/switching and calling Animations is fluid in Stock..... Sim selection problems in CM Sometimes the SIM Selection box disappears fast before selecting the sim that we want to call, so i have to tap again the contact to make a call( This only Happens when calls ask everytime ) yeah applocks doesn't work on Cleanmaster Applock work i don't know why..... We are using ur backup and we don't have slowdowns
I am not getting H of E symbol on connecting to net.Is it normal on 5.1? Please reply

You can't go over 1,19ghz, it would crash the system, the max you can do is to force the phone to run on max speed.

Low memory killer values

Hello my nexus 6 always slow down after days of use, too much apps on memory and low free ram, so I started stuying other devices oom settings, and found that two of fastest devices I can observe have this settings, so try it if you want , for me these fixed slugginess after days without reboot.
lol!
btw, rebooting your device every once in a while will also keep it fast.

yes these are the stock value for 3gb of ram i guess but they're not too low. the android will kill old apps when necessary to free up the ram.
with gravitybox i can see that on recent tab my memory can be around 130mb free ( not feeling laggy) and when reopen the recent tab again there is around 400mb free and i don't touch lmk value
i think it's a kernel related problem this is why i ask which one he's using.

No... not really...
I highly doubt it truly has to do with your lmk... and probably more to do with vmpressure
I bet you have that either set too low... or its broken all together... which means garbage collections isn't happening when it's supposed to...
If you were to drop_cache... your lag would be gone...
Messing with lmk without proper knowledge just leads to an unstable device

Swappiness: no swap file(why do you need one with 3 GB of ram?) No change...
Vmpressure:
This is kinda grey...
There are 2 schools of thought...
HIGH: run between 100 and 200... your device will drop caches as necessary... with error on the side of... dump early dump often...
LOW: run at like 20... or even 0... but then run a cron.d job every 2 hours or so to "manually" drop caches... and when you realize you can make it longer between drops... you do...
Pros & Cons... I have no bloody idea...
Me personally... I like running between 150 and 200... it keeps my phone happy enough...

On aicp stock value is swap 0 and cache pressure 20 , so I am going to try 200 thank you
i used to set my low memory killer values, a long time ago. but ive found that rebooting every day or two does a better job.
I know it's not exactly on topic but what about scrolling cache? I hear if you disable it, scrolling in the UI is glassy smooth.
I don't know how to disable except I did see a setting once when I was running Dirty Unicorns.
Don't know if this was only valid on previous OS version or if it still works for MM.
