Galaxy Note Live Wallpapers

I was planning to install the Windmill live wallpaper on my Note which I have on my Nexus One so I was pleased to find it already available on the Note. I liked how it looked on the Nexus One but when I tried it on the Galaxy Tab the icons obscured it too much. It looks better on the Note than the Nexus One and I don't suppose there is any need to worry about the amount of resources it is using as I did on the Nexus One.

note 8.0 still a great tablet 2 years on

Ok guys is it just me? I have had my note 8.0 since it came out in the meantime I have had the tab pro 10.1 and the nexus 9 both really disappointing. Yet my note 8.0 still fies super fast and fluid my nexus 9 stutters and drives me mad. How com the small note series work so well. Note 2 and 3 included. I swear my note 3 runs more fluid than the note 4 maybe the Qhd display not sure.
wierd that the note 8.0 is the only keeper androud tab I have had.

Good to hear. I'm seriously considering picking one up. Are you running stock?
if the note 8 have a good battery than the nexus , it will be the best for ever

My AT&T Note 8 has excellent battery life; around 7 hours of screen time with 4g always on.
I get >10,000 Quadrant on Note 8 after 4.4.x update.
It appears N5110 is pretty solid and it still performs well after a year and half.
Totally agree, years later and still the most functional.

Totally agree. Can't wait for a note 8 rehash. It's a real "niche" market though for "us". The stylus and screen size are just great for notes. Not too big like the note 10.1 or 12 inchers (unless you're a graphic artist). Just small enough to fit in a coat pocket with the functionality of a small clip board but with the robustness of a mini computer. Plus games run perfect. Still running on JB stock. Have no intention of ever upgrading to Kit-kat so long as it has that terrible "no write to sd card" policy for 3rd party apps (which really ruined so many wonderful sync apps for the note 8 such as folder sync, syncme, ES file explorer, airdroid, camera ace, WPS office). I like the bezels (good for holding up the note with one hand and writing with a stylus on the other). Plus ram is just right. 2 gigs with a little over 1 gig ram for the actual "end user." I checked out the note 4 with 3 gigs of ram stock and it has a little less than 1 gig of ram for the end user (so Sammy filled up all that gorgeous ram with bloatware again). I think the note 8 on the last stable update for stock jellybean is the best at least for me (excluding of course the amazing roms available on XDA but rom flashing is a totally different universe to play around with putting the note 8 on a totally different level).

Note 7 AOD on S7?

hello.
I saw that the note 7 has the 1.7 version of Always on display and our s7 edge has the 1.3 version. Can that version be ported? Will it need root or it'll be just an upgrade for the app? I'm asking because s7 watchfaces are so boring and any 3rd party app might not change the position of the text and will cause burn in.
I personally think that we will have the same features as the note 7 on Android nougat.
I think so too. Just like samsung Cloud, the GS7 Edge will most likely receive the new AOD as well.

Searching for the same, i liked the one at the Note 7 and waiting for the update to hit the S7 Edge
Well especially third party support for notifications like WhatsApp... can't wait for note aod on our s7
It's amazing with many many features , it's how should it be
Waiting for the update on fire

Any news on this ? Did anyone manage to run the Note 7 AOD on a non-rooted S7 Edge ?

It'll come with the Android 7 update

Drawing on AOD by hand (screen off memo) working with ported Note 8 ROMs

Hi!I am thinking about buying the S8 or Note 8,but Note is very expensive and a bit too big. Otherwise I like its' features. Are there ported Note 8 ROMs with working Screen Off Memo?

One UI 5.1

Hi, does a One UI 5 rom like the Noble rom for the S9 exist for my S8 (G950F exynos)? Thanks
I fear that unfortunately, no one ui port besides one ui 2 exists for the galaxy S8/note 8 series.
Galaxy S7 somehow maxed at one ui 2 via custom ROMs
and so did the S8
and somehow the S9 out of nowhere got one ui support up to one ui 5. Probably because of the note 10 lite (which runs the same chipset as the S9/note 9 series) existing, maybe that explains the sudden outcome. Note 10 lite was supposed to max at android 12 but it's support was extended to android 13, and after it completed update circle it got demoted to quarter updates.
I'm aware of S8 being so similar of the S9, but despite that it uses different chipset, so it would be impossible to use the noble ROM installer on a galaxy S8, it would unfortunately give an error instead if you do so.
TLDR: You won't be available to install any one ui port besides max one ui 2 at Samsung S8/note 8 series, except if you wish to use stock android ROMs such lineage os, pixel experience ect.
Pretty sad reality tbh. As someone who uses the S8 for backup I really wish there was better one ui custom rom support for the S8 too.
