I am using Coolpad Note 3 with Optimized Stock Marshmallow Rom v3.03 of our Senior Member Shripal17.
I have a problem using standalone VPN app.The app gets connected but i am unable to open any website on Chrome browser.
I am on Jio Network.Can someone guide and help me.

How to update my note 3 from miui 4.10.17 to 4.10.24
Sorry for language and question. How can i update my note 3 from miui 4.10.17 to miui 4.10.24. Every time I try, the phone goes to boot and nothing happens. I see jut the logo of samsung galaxy note 3 which goes and come and nothing else. In this point i have to re install the rom again. What to do? Thanks.

but Iam having a problem with my battery
its draining fast from 100 to 95 within 14 minutes screen time
but from 95 to 90 it takes around 20 minutes plus on screen time
Anyone can help me with itu?

first try your buttons with stock rom. than flash again miui clearly.

Google Play Service
Hello!
This is the first time that I install the rom, love it soo far but I have a big issue.. Almost every google app notifies me that I must update the Google Play Services in order to work. Then it takes me to the Play Store. I hit update, the download begins, and when it is installing the device suddently reboots.
I try instaling the latest version of the Google Play Service from an apk, but the same thing.. the device rebootes when it is installing..
PS: I've installed the GAPPS provided on the post.
Hope anyone knows the solution..

I think it might be because I'm using a Chinese ROM, but I have so far failed to replace my current ROM with a Global version, and I'm not sure why.

Android Version 4.4.4 KTU84P
MIUI version 6.4.1.0 (KHICNCB) Stable
is the global ROM sufficient? if so, how do I install it? I have attempted this, but I'm not very knowledgeable, and have so far failed to understand the directions provided.
do I need a custom ROM?
all I really need is the ability to use google apps, I think. please help!

The Playstore app requires google services framwork installed as a system app, for that you need root access and/or a custom recovery

I think you are using chinese version, you need to update version by installing global version.
you can download the ROm , en miui forum
, save file in the root of memory internal, boot into recovery and choose update
Provided you have developer edition ROM (which comes pre-rooted) I had the same issue. Just search the Web for "Google installer for Xiaomi and you'll find an apk which will let you install Google Play and subsequently all the Google Apps.
Hi all
I've been trying to download the redmi note 2 developer rom from the official website for a redmi note 2 but the download keeps failing. I've tried it on different devices, different connections, everything. Download starts at around 25KB/s and fails at about 3%. Other times it doesn't download at all and one time I managed to get to 23% before it failed.
Is anyone else having this issue that can maybe help me or an alternative download link that's safe?

my problem is weird one it was in all miui 8 rom and now on miui 9 also
The problem is when I use single sim with jio my jio4gvoice always say connecting or offline but when I use dual sim jio4gvoice shows online. I tried every possible solution i.e add apn, change to manual network, etc etc nothing works.
This bug is only present in all miui rom. All the flyme rom and nougat base rom works very well.
Please can anybody post any solution.

Usually you should receive the latest officially available firmware for your device, region and carrier via OTA (over the air).
If you want to check manually, you can use search feature in xda forum or an external tool such as Frija (on a PC).
There you can check and download latest firmware for your device. Then you can flash it with Odin also using a PC and USB cable to your device (as long as the bootloader is unlocked).

Many ROMs are available, according to you Note 4 variant, search XDA & select the one you like:crDroid / FlokoROM / Havoc-OS / LineageOSSupported Android Versions: (8.x, 9.x, 10.x, 11.x & even 12.x)
Where would you download roms for FlokoRom and Havoc-OS? I tried LineageOS 18 for trlte (N910V), but mobile network did not work. I also tried Resurrection Remix (Android 9) but mobile connectivity was quite bad. However, after updating modem to latest version using odin, mobile network connectivity improved great deal. Many of the custom roms mentioned in xda threads are no longer accessible and download links lead to 404. Best repository of custom roms seem to be in androidfilehost.com.
