Moto g 2014 Amazon (lollipod and bootloader unlocking No sucess)

Today i recived a moto g 2014 from amazon usa. I want run lollipon on this little beast but after check for update it says "Your device software is up to date"
After making a reserch and try all the sideloading guides to get manually lollipod without any sucess. I decide to unlock the bootloader and surprice the moto page say "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking"
I have a Moto G LTE from Amazon and I can unlock the bootloader without any problem. Any body have the same problem with a Moto G 2014 from amazon or from another retailer? Btw the software on my phone is 21.11.13.titan_retuaws.retuaws.en.US
Use IE instead of Chrome for unlocking your boot loader @ Motorola's Dev site.

[Q] Motorola says Razr M bootloader CAN be unlocked. True ?!?!

I checked the FIND YOUR DEVICE link where Motorola has "Can the bootloader on your device model be unlocked?"
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a
I am not a developer and lack the skills to understand this process, but wondered if anyone has checked into this more.

You can only unlock the developer edition of the device through Motorola. Any others must be exploited.

I thought the same until I saw under the warnings...
"You have only yourself to blame. Unless you have a Developer Edition device, once you get the unlock code, your device is no longer covered by the Motorola warranty; in other words, please don't blame us if things go wrong, even if they appear unrelated to unlocking the bootloader."
This tells me all are unlockable, but only developer is warrantied once unlocked...
and this...
"Still undaunted? If you are ready to accept all the implications of unlocking the bootloader, which -except for Developer Edition devices- includes completely voiding your device's warranty, then let's get started."

Some Motorola devices can be that are not developer editions, such as ones sold off-contract like the Moto X Pure Edition or the Moto G. However, since the M is a VZW device it cannot be. If you go through the process it just says that it cannot be unlocked.

it depends on what version of the razr your running OP.
i think the latest version, cannot be.
but if you havent updated you might be in luck

Can I root/unlock this device, without losing the warranty?

As soon I received the device (athene_f)(XT1643), I went on to unlock the bootloader, which requires to enter some code generated from the bootloader, into the Motorola website, to generate the unlock code.
But, while doing this, after entering the device's, bootloader generated code into the website, the website said - "if your device is not a developer edition then unlocking the bootloader, would void the warranty of the device".
So, here I'm not sure whether this device is a developer edition or not, and I'm confused as to, I unlock the device without losing the warranty or not?
Some notes - there's an option in the "Developer Options", in the settings, to allow the bootloader be unlocked (if that helps in determining whether, it's a developer edition and can be unlocked without losing the warranty).
~ Thanks you
Motorola clearly states that once you request the unlock code your warranty is void whether you proceed to unlock it or not. If you dont know whether it's a developer edition or not then it probably isn't. That option in settings has nothing to do with it being a developers edition.
Okay, thank you.

PSA: Motorola Bootloader Unlock now supports Moto E4

I just requested an unlock code for my Moto E4 via Motorola's site and was emailed the appropriate unlock code immediately.
Bootloader unlock went smoothly. On to TWRP, and then hopefully, some custom ROMs?
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone%2Fbootloader%2Funlock-your-device-b
They always let you unlock the bootloader of unlocked phones iirc, the issue is getting the root and making the ROMs.

Yeah; my point is that while the Moto E4 is not currently listed as supporting the unlock (yet), it is working and available.
This worked for me as well. I unlocked both my wife and I's Moto E4's. XT1768 is the model #.
Moto E4 from amazon
I was unable to unlock bootloader of Moto E4 from Amazon which is with ads and model XT1768.

Weird that we have the same model number. I bought mine from Republic Wireless. I know the Amazon ads version does not have an unlockable bootloader but I saw the G4 Play Amazon Edition just got a temporary root so the E4 Amazon Editon may not be too far behind.

Yeah, Motorola will not support unlocking the bootloader of an Amazon (or Verizon) model, unfortunately.

No. Probably never will be.
I know someone that has the Dev version of the verizon model and they say they cannot unlock the bootloader on that one either - it came locked out the box. So, you're probably better off going Factory Unlocked.
