Pixel launcher for pie devices - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Can anyone provide a link of pixel launcher having api level 28 (for pie devices). As smart shortcuts only work on pie devices and for that we need to have pixel launcher with api level 28.

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/pixel-launcher/pixel-launcher-9-4836503-release/

It's not working. You tried it?

May be this would help.

Do you need to install the launcher as a system app for the app drawer to work?

[Q] (Android 5.0 Stock) - Touchwiz Launcher with Theme Chooser & Wallpaper Scrolling?
Hello everyone!
I'm searching for a S5 Touchwiz Launcher with Theme Chooser and Wallpaper Scrolling Support (for example a zip for installing in a Recovery )
Does anyone have an download link for me and other ones
Thanks in advance :good:
What model/carrier do you have?

The laucher for my rom has themes enabled, as does MOAR. You also need the theme xml.
Hey Metalfan78,
I've got an SM-G900F without any carriers (no branding)
Regards
I can send you mine later if you want to try it out.

Make a nandroid, I don't know if you can flash this as it is set up for the Sprint version, but you can unzip it and replace the required files and apks to their respectful places and fix permissions. You need SecThemeChooser2 and TouchWizHome_K from priv-app, there are 12 themes included. You also need the xml file from the csc folder.

I forgot to mention that this has a 4x5 grid rather than stock 4x4.
Hi again,
Never mind of that grid, I fancy that anyway more than the stock 4×4
Thank you for trying to help me. Unfortunately, my Battery ist nearly empty so I need to try it later,if it works (I'll try in a couple of hours again)
I'll write to you later,if it worked
Regards
Sounds good
Okay I tried to flash it via TWRP and it works partly! The Theme Chooser works but there's still no Wallpaper Scrolling
Apart from that , unfortunately I don't like this Grid Size so much anymore. How can I change the grid size?
Thanks for your Help
I have a stock grid Size launcher but I won't be at my laptop until tonight. I'll double check the wallpaper scrolling tonight too
That would be really awesome if you could do that
Looking excited forwards
Try this one, should work

Thanks for your hard work at first
Unfortunately same here as before, theme chooser works (also Grid Size is now stock, thanks mate ) but still there is no wallpaper scrolling
That's strange, it worked for me when I tried the stock wallpapers, however, not with some of my own.

You need build fingerprint from firmware that passes CTS.
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA Labs
How to build fingerprint prop from firmware,
I have no idea on that,
Give me a brief idea on that
---------- Post added at 10:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:22 AM ----------
Another thing, I watch the video on YouTube, that doesn't say anything about fingerprint prop, but all of them are not doing this on stock rom ,they updated their rom, may be that's the case, and I don't want to update any rom as speed is slow here and I can't download any heavy roms

One more thing I want to ask ,that ,Is there any custom rom available which have came with root rights(on off) feature for redmi note 4

Pixel Experience vs Nitrogen OS

Which one holds the best position in stability and performance?

For me, both are really stable rom and don't have any noticeable bugs. But I prefer Nitrogen because of its customization features. Nitrogen don't support OTA upgrades yet and will be implemented in the future, but it doesn't matter too much for me since I can go for dirty flash or restoring apps and data from Titanium backup. Hope it helps you.
Yesterday I installed pixel experience through redwolf twrp, succeeded, but I am not able to use all important banking apps,. Saying rooted device can't open(AB TEJ), BHIM, PHONE PE, GOOGLE TEZ, HDFC PAYZAP all are opening but saying enter at your own """"RISK"""""

Install magisk and check the safety net.
If it's success, then the warning is not an issue.
If its not, then a magisk module is available for safety net, patch that.

Please do not post the redwolf twrp here. The creator of the recovery doesn't want it to be shared.

Pixel Experience is for pure experience with Pixel Stuff - Launcher and Wallpaper etc.
Nitrogen is IMO better custom ROM .. better battery while having more features.
Beacon Kernel works best with this ROM and the kernel developer is using this ROM which gives it an added advantage.

Substratum themes

Anybody tried substratum themes
As it is 8.1 Oreo
Is it possible themes without root.
Please help anyone
Yes, buy Andromeda for substratum on Play Store.
You can use substratum theme without Root.
Read this.
https://www.xda-developers.com/custom-themes-android-oreo-substratum/
I just got the device with me tried substratum with andromeda and it looks like it's not fully supported by themes like swift dark "Oreo" Only few apps are getting themed not even the settings page gets themed and that is sad cuz lenovo K8 with stock android 8.0 supports that theme . Well you can still wait for custom roms
You need Andromeda for rootless substratum. Otherwise, it's not possible.

Setting SELinux

Maybe it's a stupid question, but how can I set SELinux to Permissive permanently? I'm running stock latest OOS + Omega Kernel and Magisk root.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6010 using Tapatalk
Usually there is no easy solution but to do it manually upon every reboots because Android Oreo started to be even more strict about how the bootloading process works but I would love to be proven wrong, I have been looking for the aforementioned solution.

I haven't found a permanent solution either. To ease the process you can set up scripts to run at boot, I think there's a magisk module for it too.
I will have to look at a few more options still. I tried init.d in custom LineageOS 16 ROM running on my old Google Pixel which I still use, and no dice still. Gave up on doing the automatic way.
