Tariff Impact - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

OnePlus is a Chinese manufacturer. I wonder if the tariffs that may be levied on Chinese imports will drive the price of these phones up. I hope not.

I read somewhere that it doesn't apply to electronics..
Here is what I read.

Searching the cheapest euro price.

Hi
I thought that we could make one thread to post where to buy in europe with CHEAP prices and post links.
For example 650 it is not a cheap price. 570 like this shop looks fine instead.
http://notebooksektor.de/shop/produ...rble-white.html&trackref=1000&trackpid=109288
But who knows if will have a lot of stock or the first week, so if you know other stores who sell the phone cheap, please share for all of us, the faster adoption, the faster we will have kernels, roms, accesories, and so.
I will try to update here with a list.
No need to link to individual stores, they're all listed here and updated regularly :
http://geizhals.at/eu/?in=&fs=n7100
And yes notebooksektor.de is still the cheapest.
It's funny how you manage to mix the word cheap with the best phone in the world sentence lol

Zuk Z2/Z1 India order info needed
I am from Gurgaon(meh its gurugram now ) too and I want this device. Infact I wanted Zuk Z1 too but am not sure about added shipping and custom duties when ordered from their international site. Same situation till now for this device, hope somebody can provide more info about India bound orders.
Indians can't buy this phone without paying massive custom duties. Cost will be over 40k.
I placed an order from OppoMart and I am getting it reshipped through my brother in UAE. As per Zuk after contacting them on facebook, they say they have an exclusive plan for India in a "Couple of Months"
Now available for shipment to India at vickmall.com shipping via Singapore post.
If it gets inspected by customs you will have to pay import duties but every reseller I have used will put a reciept for a fraction of the price to reduce the tax.

Selling Mate 8 suggestions

After much thought I think a 6p is better suited for my needs. Being in the US there doesn't seem to be a big market for the Mate 8. Where would you suggest selling my brand new AL10 64gb 4gb ram version? Swappa only shows the L29 version and nobody seems to want it for a trade despite the higher value of it. I also would like to stay away from the bay. Had but luck selling phones there. TIA
Sell on celltraderonline
None of the out of mainstream phones sell well after the first initial 3 months of release. You will always take a lose with imported phones after buzz.
You have to be a little flexible on the price though. You have slim chance of getting anything close to retail besides listing on ebay. But after fees, you could sell it elsewhere with a smoother transaction.
I would have bought it but 32gb version on ebay for 415 was a better deal.

Thanks for the info. I'll try my luck on there.
As far as price, wish we would've discussed it further. I followed up and never heard anything more as I would've come down quite a bit from my initial number. Either way hope you enjoy the 8!
I hear ya man, i'm selling mine as well but if no one buys it then I'll just keep it as a spare.
I hear about new 6p from htc i suggest u to wait for it

There isn't really. I agree with mchlbenner about buying from eBay. It's safer because you can pay with PayPal, and eBay staff is pretty helpful when it comes to bad sellers.
The next best alternative is buying through Banggood or Gearbest with PayPal. After that, Geekbuying and often, LightInTheBox fit here as well (as long as you pay with PayPal).
Aliexpress is so-so. There are some good sellers and plenty of bad sellers. But the prices can be pretty enticing and you'll find more models there. But you can't use PayPal, you have to use your credit card, which makes contesting a transaction difficult after the sale. Also, Aliexpress free shipping sucks. Also, cashback websites like TopCashBack tend to post higher cashback rates for Aliexpress over other stores.
I've personally had great experiences buying from both Banggood and Gearbest. Gearbest refunded me for expensive headphones I never got, and Banggood allowed me to cancel my x722 order and re-order in a different currency. I'm not so sure about Geekbuying or LITB. As for reliable Aliexpress sellers for LeEco phones, I don't know any. I do know reliable sellers for Xiaomi phones though (taken from reddit.com/r/Xiaomi).
oh thanks

Best time to buy OnePlus 6t?

Hello all.
I'm looking to get a new phone, and the OnePlus 7 Pro is just a tad too expensive here in Canada ($1128 after tax).
So I wanna get the 6t. But I imagine One Plus might put it at a discount at some point now that the the 7 is on sale. Does OP have a habit of putting older models on sale? Should I wait a few weeks to buy the phone or is the current price ($729 before tax) the best I'm gonna get?
Thank you!
You should wait for the OnePlus 7 (not the pro one)
I'm from India & I recently got a OP6T (8GB+128GB) Mirror Black for ₹32,999 (around $470 USD) and I'm really sad as OnePlus has launched the OP7 for the exact same price here.
I wish I could somehow switch to the OP7 as my 6T is barely 12 days old today

Here in the Netherlands you may return a Oneplus phone within 15 days if you don't like it. But I don't know if that's a worldwide privilege...

Amazon India doesn't have that policy here. And, OnePlus is still selling the 6T starting with ₹37,999 (≈ $542) for the 6GB+128GB on their official site. I really do have a bad luck

That's a shame. I'm sorry to hear that. It's reasons like that that I have given up on OnePlus and am moving on to a better company. They don't even sell the OnePlus 7 here in America, because they know nobody will buy the pro version when the regular 7 is a much better bang for your buck, in comparison.

They might sell the 7 there too. It's not even on sale here. The sales are gonna start in June. Yes this was a sad incident, but I'm still gonna stick it to OnePlus

I never see OnePlus to give discount for older phone, like 6T now.
Why don't you buy it from OnePLus site? 7 pro 6gb-128gb is 999 canadian dollars. I don't know about Canada taxes, but if i buy it, i pay 699 euro, taxes, transport included.
Why don't you buy from another person (selling forums) from Canada (sell forums)?
This depends on your country and its laws.
2 weeks ago I bought a returned 6T for 410 US dollars incl taxes.
It looked absolutely new.
The price difference to the OP7 is too big in my opinion.

I suppose you're talking about the OP7 Pro... OP7 starts from $549 here in India, at which 2 years back OP5 was released. OP6 launched at $583 & OP6T at $633 in India.
So, OP7 is cheaper here compared to previous devices.

No, I meant that if he can get the 6t as cheap as I bought, the price difference is not worth it. But only If he is ok, buying an not absolutely new device.
I am living in Europe and paid for the 6t ( tried and returned before 14 days after buying) 370 euros. The OP7 is just available for 560 euros, but it's brand new.
Therefore it is the best time to buy a 6t if you can accept some small drawbacks.
