new csc for move biometric setting under security section, inside phone setting. - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Themes, Apps, and

okay guys, this is just a modified floating_feature.xml
first, let me tell you guys something why i did this.
when im still on nougat, i didn't face any thing like 'biometric' setting, inside the root of phone setting, but after oreo, i see some weird option called 'biometric and fingerprint setting' , i thought it was located under the security section. but it's not.
i dont know, are u guys facing the same issue or not.
actually, using hidden csc features from @kubura2999 surely will hide the biometric setting back to the security section, but realize when using @kubura2999 floating_feature.xml make my phone slow when open the camera app. especially when open the camera while using 3rd apps like instagram, there are 2-3 sec delay before the camera opened.
so i decide to make one for them who suffered the same problem with me.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
REASON WHY :
why i make this? because the biometrics and security setting icon is not customized on many samsung themes or even substratum.
i mean this icon :
is rarely getting customized by any theme developer.
tried many substratum themes which works with samsung stock oreo, but this icon never 'touched'!
this file works with A7 , A5, A3 (2017 VARIANT)
what you got :
1. moved biomeotrics and fingerprint section under security section inside phone setting
2. just that.
if u want to use this feature along side with floating_feature.xml from @kubura2999 , u can message me.

Is there a list of bloatware/apps safe to disable?

I searched the forums but I can't find any thread which compiles some sort of list for the Note 4 so far. Can someone point me to the right thread?

Found this list on reddit a while ago:

Here you have an "automatic" debloater:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/themes-apps/cwm-bloatware-removal-script-t3067501
The forum is full of those ..
Though freezing/stopping apps first .. then if so you wish uninstall them is the safest way .. I don't recommend auto debloaters at all for the simple facts that devices/Roms differ and devs can't possibly test all of them ..
Key is : stop what you don't use "now" delete what you are sure that you'll never use ..
For privacy reasons all pre installed apps that can be downloaded "should be deleted and installed freshly " especially after rooting and using privacy apps that cloak such as xprivacy ..
Apps that are pre-installed would know everything about your device even if you block their access & permissions later on ..

I'M not sure it' s a bug.
Since the 1st version by firefds I got the same message when reboot !
I flashed many versions of MM. .. and always!
I don't use Fingerprint so don't know if it's a MM bug or not, but if more than one person is getting the same error, it looks like it might be
Fingerprints
I dont think this is a bug. I have the same issue, and 2 of my family/friends, also with S5MM kindly setup prints on their devices and had the same result.
Perhaps its why they ask you for a backup password when you set "fingerprints" up.?............(cant think of why a backup password otherwise......you cant forget your finger..
....unless you accidently chopped off relevant finger & then went and "lost" it!!!!) I am afraid we have to live with this

Can the Samsung S8 DUOS 'Sim 1' icon be removed via firmware?

Hi guys,
I recently received the S8 duos (SM-G950FD) and to the dismay of my OCD, I have these annoying icons which cannot be removed.
I installed a different messenger application which solved half the problem, but I still get the icon in the call logs etc.
Seeing as I use a micro SD, and just the 1 sim-card, I find this highly frustrating.
Is it possible to remove the icons by installing the standard S8 firmware? If so, can someone direct me to the correct files.
Thanks

I think the duo and regular s8 use the same firmware, it automatically detects if you have 2 imei's and add's those little icons if you do.
No way but...
This is a system config to separate and identify the SIM calls from 1 to 2.
I guess there is a system configuration that may allow you to disable one of the IMEI of the phone so it works as a single SIM, but even if there is, it's propably a root-only ability
P.S.: Try looking into the Developer Options...

Flashing a custom ROM on a ZED AN817DK?

Hey fellas,
I've done some flashing on android before, but only on smartphones, instead of a car multimedia. My model is ZED AN817DK.
It looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The launcher it came with is kinda disgusting, so I installed Nova Launcher instead.
Regardless, the system barely works, even on the stock settings / factory reset status.
Apps are crashing, changing the audio option in Waze takes a whole 2 minutes to even open up the menu for the option
(the app works but the input is unresponsive for 2 minutes until the menu appears).
I've tried contacting the shop I bought it in and they sent me a "firmware" update in the form of an APK file that will not launch in the device. I don't think I saw an option in it's administrator settings or anywhere else to update firmware via file (only check for firmware update - and it's always "up to date").
So I think I'll resort to flash a custom rom on this. I'm a bit worried since in the scenario where things go wrong I rely only on a pen hole style reset button which I don't fully trust to reset successfully if a custom rom is installed.
Is there a general flashing guide for these devices? How safe is it, as in what are the chances of completely bricking the device?
Are there general or common roms that work well on these devices?

Question Can anyone check if these list of apps look ok and also some permissions please?

Hey, I'm new to the forums. Decided to get the Nothing Phone 1. Seems ok atm but was a bit glitchy when first set up.
Just wanted to see if anyone could have a quick look through the app list to see if all looks ok.
Also I have some permissions which I'm unsure about for example on the shell app:
Reroute outgoing calls
android.permission.ACCEPT_HANDOVER
see and control calls through the system. (I noted this one because of the period at the end)
android.permission.REQUEST_OBSERVE_COMPANION_DEVICE_PRESENCE
android.permission.REQUEST_COMPANION_PROFILE_WATCH
download files without notification
android.permission.READ_NEARBY_STREAMING_POLICY
Edit: for some reason I can't attach the screenshots

What's your point man ? Nobody can't edit all yours apks .
What I've seen , you disabled randomly lot of important system apk so I think you may reset your phone , take a breath , learn some stuff on Google and after that you can setup again your phone , paid more attention on system apks .
No, I meant edit the image size, it's ok I'll work it out.
I've disabled the things I don't need for now. These permissions were there before I changed any settings. I did reset the phone after purchasing.
The most concerning me are reroute outgoing calls & download files without notification.
I haven't changed any settings in relation to this.
The reroute call permission also found in phone services
