Oh! i don't have any bank apps, so i decided to root it ,i think Magisk can hide the root ability (im not sure with this)

5/10. Not unusable. Lags for a second when more than 5 apps in memory (Waze, PvZ2, IG, Maps, Wheres my monster, Xda). Holding power consuming apps in memory would definitely be a little frustrating.

Improve icecream Roms performance(ram usage)

hey guyz.i,ve been using Arconium ICS and i noticed Phone app and setting open terribly slow.so here is what i did to get them smoother.
just go to setting ,developer options and choose at most 2 processes from background procces limit bar.don,t choose don,t keep activities cause it will kill launcher every time.try and see for your selves.hope this helps
anybody else tried this?
use my touchscreen, responsiveness and battery tweaks from the android development subforum for xperia arc. i have been read the last post about the governor and the rampling too. i've been ggetting over 18 hours on an average already. (those tweaks were for the ics beta, i bet i can tweak it more).
I am having problems with some games like Backstab and real racing 2..they crash when they load..I think it's a matter of a driver issue and not related to RAM availability..

games use a lot of ram. getting out of ram can cause FCs. (try reducing your vm heap to 20 and see what it does to the other apps )
Thanks for sharing bro, it just help to improve responsiveness a little bit. It's really annoying that when u tap the dialer and few seconds later it appear...lol
are u kerenl is doom v4?
orgain kerenl is slow
Guys, just supercharge your phone. Details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533044
It's working great for me on stock ICS and just wanted to share.
After you supercharge the dialer & sms apps only lag the "first" time you open them after a reboot. After that they open pretty much instantaneously (unless you run a massive app which uses all the phones memory) in which case it will lag the first time after closing the massive app.
You can bullet proof apps of your choice including dialer, sms, launcher etc.
For me the overall smoothness of ICS is noticable.

This is definitely the way to go! Don't go crazy and bulletproof everything or else you'll end up with the same problem but definitely do the basics and you'll notice a difference for sure, without having to drop down to 2 background processes.

Laggy gaming

Hello!
I got my g pad a few days ago and I got it rooted running xposed with greenidy and G2 modules with nova launcher. Antutu scored about 23600 and performence is pretty great excpet for one thing : gaming.
Most if not all Games are laggy, some start laggy and some become Luggy after a few seconds.
What should I do?

GTA San Andreas is laggy on my GPad then I tried to flash custom rom then the game became smooth on max settings
Mine also. i have several that freeze up but work perfect on a custom rom. Rayman jungle run and reckless racing 2 amongst others. kinda sucks as i like the lg rom.
I play asphalt 7 and 8 also real racing 3 and gt racing 2 with no problem at all.
That's true. But If a quad-core snapdragon 600 clocked 1.7ghz and 2gb of RAM can't handle a game smoothly then I think that's the optimization of the app's fault, not the hardware. My San Andreas also lags, at half resolution, medium details and 70% draw distance. That sucks : /. Order and Chaos Online is so laggy that it's taking away any joy from playing, while a LG L9 with 2x1Ghz handles it perfectly...... I think this is unacceptable that a flagship device has such issues
Wysłane z mojego LG-P760 przy użyciu Tapatalk 4
Is it laggy from the start or after a minute of playing? Seems that this tablet gets hot quickly and keeps throttling CPU/GPU
Real boxing lags for me sometimes. Other games like Riptide GP2, Injustice, and Modern Combat 4 all play perfectly though.
Those games are laggy:
BADLAND, Pivvot, Subway Surfers (A little bit), Rayman Jungle Run (Half of the time buttery smooth, other half laggy)
But after further testing I found out:
I also have games that don't lag: Modern Combat 4 (which is very demanding!), Zynga Poker (but a galaxy s wouldn't lag on that one), Lumber Jacked, Reaper.
I guess it's a compability issue, hope I could get better performence on AOSP ROMs (although I heard they have a gaming problem, maybe it will be sorted out soon)
Just installed latest cmb rom, all games are buttery smooth.
I laugh at lag's face now.
Only problem : pivvot doesn't respond to touch. Oh well, probably a 4.4.2 compatibility issue
it plays even intensive games like Asphalt 8: Airborne well, and nothing ever felt overly laggy. But stock KitKat clearly comes with a huge speed boost, and switching from one model to the other for days at a time, I always noticed the difference.

Is the S600 another model type of this tab ? Anyhow after a week of using the tablet and reading and using and Romming and ...you get it.I have noticed lags here and there w/ certain games , YouTube etc but Browsing is good. Gaming depends on what game you play Nova 3 lags a little not as smooth as N7 , Nitro Nation is fine lags here and there no biggie, injustice lags some,Dead Trigger 2 is OK doesn't really lag very much but I haven't installed the graphics mod either .Deer hunter stutters a bit,Respawnables, shadowgun super smooth online or off My experience so far.
Well I'm on Malladus 1.2.5, and I have absolutely no lag at all. RR3 runs perfectly smooth during the races (but the graphics seem to be in low settings everywhere, so that shouldn't come as a surprise), Angry Birds Go is equally good, and Asphalt 8 is perfect in high settings. I did have some lags on all of them while I was on stock though.
I also tried CM11, and apart from some games that just wouldn't launch, all of the above ran perfectly.

Could you two me about Malladus 1.2.5? Do all stock features work? Can you do apps to sd sym linking? Will this prevent lg app updates... How is battery life improved
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
Yes, all stock features work if you flash the LG apps with the Rom. As far as I can tell, it's a custom stock rom, with a bit of optimizations and tweaks.
I don't know about SD sym linking. I'm assuming you're talking about Link2SD ability to create a link with your external SD card, and I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Battery life seems to be a bit better, but it could be a placebo effect.

I think It does well but I am not a fan of 8.1 oreo's auto task killing of background processes when there are apps I want to leave running in background. With as much ram it has, it seems wasted when you aren't able to put it to good use.
Pretty sure that's just aggressive ram management. Shouldn't be hard to increase allowable memory and maximum number of running apps.

Could have done with more RAM for future proofing
Pixel 3 has 4GB ram and it keeps some apps in memory, if there are 10 to 15 background apps. after 5 apps it will reload. So, for better RAM management they have to increase ram in next versions.

Why someone needs more than 10 apps running in background?

Not me maybe some of the users can run more than that. so, in that case it will struggle to load instantly.

Pretty much the worst part of it, yes it can run stuff like Youtube in PiP wile you do something else like browsing internet or telegram, but its also its limit, two apps. even when manually configuring it to handle more tasks (i know that its not using all that ram for 2 apps, right?)
Heard it have something to do with MIUI locking it, and its also the only version that doesnt have multi windows, only in PiP apps and Calculator.
