Click to collapse
Once again here is the information:
Storage Memory is physical memory that applications are stored (same as a hard drive in your computer)
Program Memory is the memory where the application is run (same as RAM in your computer)
The reason you cannot install to Program is the simple fact that it is NOT a storage location and that is why it is not listed in your install options.
Ok i see
Thank i understand now.....

[Q] is there a download file size limit?

Hey guys, I'm new here so I hope i am asking this in the correct forum.
I have an att Expo with stock Rom, win 6.5 and I am trying to download a large file for the internet.
The file is about 76mb. I have about 30mb free on the phone and I have a 2 gb memory card the is empty.
When I try downloading it directly to the memory card it gets about half way through (Im guessing about 30 mb into it) and then gives me a error message about running out of memory. ''You are criticaly low on Memory'' or something.
My question is, To download this file do I need 76 mb of space on the handset so that it can then be transfered to the memory card after download? if so then Is there a way to download directly to the memory card without using device storage?
Thanks guys, you rock!
I am pretty sure that you are running out of ram when you download the file; I could be wrong though? also why dont you just connect your expo to your pc and get the file that way?
I actually needed the file while I was at work and I did not have a computer handy. But I was able to get the file using Pocket Downloader freeware. It downloads it directly to the sd card regardless of ram size.

Thanks for the reply.
All you guys still rock.

How to delete downloaded corrupted files

Hello! I have not rooted Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) SM-J320FN, last actualized this January. These days I downloaded on it and on my rooted Lenovo A1000 some .apks from apkpure. The ones that names contain unicode and ascii characters remained like zero bytes files with no permissions (MD5Operation failed). But they indeed occupy space on the devices. I managed to clear the rooted device with Root Explorer by JRummy Apps and the space on it increased. But I can't clear my Samsung. The files are over 200 MB. Please, help me! Also I'd be very grateful if someone tells me how my device can be rooted or at least how to get Marshmallow on it (need it to set SD card as card for primarily install memory. Now I have no space on Internal and 6 GB free on SD card.).
Model: SM-J320FN
Android: 5.1.1
Build: LMY47V.J320FNXXU0ARA1
PS. I see the corrupted files when Samsung attached to PC (I didn't see them in Lenovo). But I can't delete via PC, it says Storage is write protected, remove protection and try again.
bump
Anyone, very please? :crying:
Purify found all as "Damaged package" but failed to delete it because the device is non-rooted. Any idea where this Damaged package could be located so I to can delete manually?
Bump it again with the hope someone can help me.
Bump.
Anyone, please? '

Need help with installing Android TV alongside Windows 10

Hello everyone,
I'm facing difficulties installing Android TV alongside my existing Windows 10 installation. I followed a YouTube tutorial and encountered some issues during the process. Here are the steps I followed:
I downloaded the Android TV ISO file and used Rufus to create a bootable USB drive the file called "ATV-9-x86 Tech info Chrome 23.06.2022-k4.19.105-64bit.iso" from archive.org.
I formatted my USB drive and added the ISO file as a bootable option.
In Windows 10 Disk Manager, I shrunk my C drive to create a 20 GB unallocated space and made it a new volume.
I booted my PC from the USB drive and proceeded with the Android TV installation.
During the installation, I selected the 20 GB volume for installation and chose the ext4 format, as suggested in the tutorial on youtube.
After the installation completed and I chose to run Android TV, it booted successfully, but I encountered freezing issues during the initial setup after adding my Google account.
When I rebooted the PC and tried to boot into Android TV again, it either showed an empty boot option or briefly appeared to boot before returning to the BIOS.
I have attempted reinstalling Android TV multiple times, but the freezing issue persists. I'm not sure if there's an issue with the partition conversion to ext4, as the installation process still recognizes it as sda5 instead of ext4.
My system specs are as follows:
Computer model: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. To be filled by O.E.M.
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (10.0, Build 19044)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) X4 740 Quad Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. F2A55M-DS2
RAM: 8 GB
Hard disk1: VendorCo ProductCode USB Device (29.1 GB/Removable Media): THE FLASH DRIVE USB I USED
Hard disk2: JAJS600M128C ATA Device (119.2 GB/Fixed hard disk media): MY C DRIVE WHERE WINDOWS 10 IS INSTALLED (SSD)
Hard disk3: SAMSUNG HD502HI ATA Device (465.8 GB/Fixed hard disk media): ANOTHER HARD DISK (HDD) DYNAMIC WHICH CANT SHRINK
Graphics card: Radeon RX 580 Series (4 GB)
Monitor: AOC International (USA) Ltd. 831W (1366x768 / 18.5 Inch)
I would appreciate any help or guidance in resolving this issue. Thank you in advance!
