LG V35 - Can anyone get into the bootloader? - LG V35 Questions & Answers

Cannot find a way to enter the bootloader. Volume down + power doesn't do anything. Same with adb reboot bootloader.

@Cobra04 Did you have any luck in unlocking the bootloader for LG V35 ULM ??

Hopefully it will happen soon, let's keep up the hope.

Been poking around and still can't access bootloader on this phone. Even through ADB I can't get anything but a reboot. Anyone been having any luck?

Nope, LG won't let us unlock bootloader for this device. My first non rooted phone since original Droid. But it's still a test device for Google Fi so I accept it.

1. Go to Developer options.
2. unlock OEM option.
3. Now, you will need IMEI number of your device.
4. To get the IMEI number for the phone, dial *#06# on the phone. You will get the IMEI number.
5. And now connect your phone to the PC.
6. Next, open the command prompt on the PC and type the following ADB Command code to reboot the phone into the bootloader.
adb reboot bootloader

Rahul,
Can this phones bootloader be unlocked using LG-Devs service? I looked over and didn't see V35 listed as a supported device.

Does not work. Did you ever test this on a LG v35? Give some proofs if you did else stop commenting just for the sake of commenting. Thank you.

It's clear you do not know anything about this particular phone.
1) LG has locked out bootloader access for most carrier branded phones starting with 2017 LG G6. Nothing you do will allow that functionality for those affected phones unless you Frankenstein it to another open market variant which allows that access. i.e., How we convert the AT&T H931 V30 to the open market US998 V30. At that point, then you now have fastboot flash commands and can access the bootloader. On H931 V30 (like AT&T V35), you cannot unless you do something like that.
2) You say to get the IMEI number, then don't even tell why you would need the IMEI number. You don't need the IMEI number ever to access a bootloader.
I think you copied and pasted part of some list from some website, which has nothing to do with this V35 phone.

First of all, power off your device. Connect the USB to your phone only. Now pressing & holding the Volume Down key connect the another port of your type C USB to the computer. Now your device will boot to a mode known as Recovery mode. Now find where is the Bootloader option. If you find "Reboot to bootloader" option, select this using Volume+/- & Power keys. Your device will Reboot to Bootloader or Fastboot mode.
Let me know it worked for you or not.

This does NOT work. I tried pressing the following combinations and then plugging the phone via USB into the computer. I was using a Google Fi version of the V35.
No Buttons = Offline Charging mode
Volume down = Offline Charging mode
Volume Up = Firmware Update Screen
Power = Normal Boot
Vol up + Down = Offline Charging mode
Vol Down + Power = Endless Bootloop
Vol up + Power = Normal Boot
Also I think one of these combos turned off my USB support. When I plug the phone into my computer it will charge, but it wont give me the USB options...

LG V35 bootloader unlocked

Someone in Shenzhen China has unlocked the bootloader of LG V35. Looks like he is using similar vulnerability within the verification of bootloader for the V30 model series.
He can unlock the bootloader of LG V35 and LG V40.

Okay, do you have proof it will unlock this phone?

I don't know but if there were any root method that doesn't require unlocking bootloader ( like using kingo root or something else that exploit system vulnerability ) you can use dd command to erase LAF partition ( if exist in lg v35 because I don't have this device ) this will remove LG Advanced Flash screen and replace it with fastboot ( did it only in lg g3 )

i emailed LG asking if the V35 unbranded will be added to LG Developer which would allow for bootloader unlock...i got a response that made no sense and didn't answer my question.

any updates?

First thing first... connect your phone and type "adb devices". Does your serial nr show up? Turn off your phone and boot into bootloader (hold vol up + power). Type "fastboot devices", does your serial nr show up? If not, adb and/or fastboot isn't recognizing your connection and device. If it does, you SHOULD be able to type "fastboot oem unlock" to unlock your bootloader.
Tip: you can view your bootlooader state on the device display when inside the loader. It says "State: LOCKED" or "State: UNLOCKED" respectively.

Yes that Odin package from Samfirmwares is for the I9020T. However it is not version 2.3.3, but rather 2.3.1 GRH78.

Refurbished/Fake LG G3 Check Now Available

[WORKED FOR ME ON STOCK KK WITH STOCK RECOVERY]
This guide will prepare you well to battle against all the Fake/Refurbished LG G3's present in the Market.
I recently upgraded to LG G3 D855 and was faced with alarming numbers of Refurbs.
In this guide, i'll explain each and every step that I produced to avoid any refurbished or Fake G3
Q.What the heck is 'Refurbished'?
Well, you already know its basic meaning but i'll ponder upon the Refurbished G3 D855.
Refurbished G3's typically show D855 in the 'About Screen' and even you can put the Hidden Menu Code i.e 3845#*855#. Almost all assume that its an ORIGINAL/GENUINE D855. In most cases, that's not true lad :crying:. All D855 Refurbs got D850/VS985/LS990 mobo and thus you will not be able to mess with it or even install a Custom ROM on it. Above all, it's a Fake one Dude! That's not what you paid for.
Now if you follow each and every step carefully, even if you are a noob, you'll eventually end up with a Genuine D855 :good:
Things you need BEFORE buying..
1. Laptop/PC
2. Attached adb files within this thread.
3. Data Cable.
Instructions:
1. Enable Android Debugging by hoping into Developers Options.
2.Go to Setting->General->About->Software Info->Build Number [Write it down as you'll need this Later!]
3.Change the Connection mode to MTP.
4.After extracting the attached folder, Right Click on it WHILE holding the Shift key. Now click on "Open command Window here" and type the following commands.
adb devices
[Now you'll see an Authentication Box on your device, check trust this computer and hit OK]
Now Type,
adb reboot recovery
Here comes the moment of truth
At top of the recovery screen you'll either see D850/VS985/LS990 or your Build Number. It's quite obvious that if your Build Number appears, you got a Genuine D855. If you get some other crap written there then all my apologies with you mate!
PS: I didn't include the IMEI check as all these Refurb phones come with Original D855 IMEI. Never Trust the IMEI check under no circumstances!
Troubleshooting:
Q.'Device Not found' Error after following the set of adb commands?
Make sure after typing 'adb devices' you get the 'Android USB Debugging' Dialog on your device, else you can try reconnecting the cable or even using another port on your Laptop/PC.
Q.My Phone booted into TWRP/CWM?
Well, that happened with a friend of mine and now it's quite tricky to check if it's a D855 or any other. You can try making a backup of EFS (or any other partiton) and reboot your device after that. Now browse into TWRP folder and hop into Backups folder. If you see a LGD850xxxxx (or anything like LGVS985xxxx etc) then it's a refurb set else if you see LGD855xxxxx, you can calm down now as it's a D855.
Good Luck, Hit 'Thanks' if this saved your a**[emoji14]
I got mine refurbished, but it's genuine! Thanks for the guide, saved my butt, haha!

So, basically, you just entered recovery mode, yes? Can't we just use hardware button combinations (power vol down) to enter recovery mode instead? Does it had any differences?

LG G3 D855. Can't upgrade KK to MM
Hi,
I recently bought a "LG G3 D855 32GB 4G LTE Unlocked" from amazon which came with Android KK. Everything looked genuine. But for the life of me, I just couldn't upgrade to MM neither with LGUP or LG Flash Tool. I checked everything. TWICE ! Made sure I had the right USB drivers, run the tools as Administrator, redownloaded the kdz file a number of times. Nothing. So I suspected it might be either fake or refurbished. I tried what was suggested here and I couldn't get to what I was expecting to be the recovery mode. The phone just factory resets and boots up, or if I use adb shell as advised it just reboots. What am I missing ?
Thanks.

You can get Lollipop OTA upgrade to make sure you have got the genuine version if the lollipop OTA works on your device.
and
Also have you downloaded the correct drivers, have proper USB cable and booted phone into download mode to apply KDZ update. If it still don't work then give a try to tot method.

Huawei P9 Lite stuck on bootloop, can't enter recovery mode

Hello, I'm new to xda, in fact I registered just to ask for help. My p9 lite got stuck on huawei logo, when i try to turn off the device it just reboots 2 times and then just stays on huawei logo. I can enter fastboot and rescue mode, but i have not enabled usb debugging and oem unlock on the device earlier. To be honest this is my first android device, in the past i used only windows phones, so you could say i'm completely new to this. Any suggestions on how to recover my phone or flash any rom into it? I'd be very glad if someone helped me find the solution to this problem. Not sure if i made a thread in the correct place, direct me if i'm mistaken
There are few different versions of P9 Lite, look at the back of the phone to the bottom to see the numbers beside VSN and let us know.
1) Also when the phone is turned off plug in the usb to a computer or charging adapter
2) Hold down volume up & power
3) Let go of the power button when you feel the buzz while still holding the volume up button
4) Download latest version & recovery.
5) Go to Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging On
5B) If you don't see Developer Options in settings, then go to Settings>About Phone>Build Number & ( tap the Build Number untill it unlocks)
6) Update us on the status, hope it works out.

What exactly were you doing before this happened and does your computer recognize your phone when plugged in at all.
Try holding volume up & down together & plug phone in when it reboots on you, & report back with what you see. If anything at all.

Did you download a adb tool on your computer that have the 'fastboot.exe' file? If so open that folder,
Have the mouse curser hover in that folder, hold down shift & right click the mouse
Open command prompt
Connect phone as is in fastboot mode
Type adb devices & press enter
Type adb continue & press enter
Hi,
I have the same issue as ellanyx.
my phone can only be stucked while booting or if I connect my phone to a computer, I'm able to boot it in fastboot.
as ellanyx, I didn't enable usb-debug nor OEM unlock option...
so when I'm in fastboot, I type the command "fastboot oem unlock xxxxxx" (hopefully the different data needed are the correct ones mentioned on the box of the phone) I get this error message:
C:\Users\Dieu\Downloads\SRKToolHuawei-STABLE-V1.3-20160619>fastboot oem unlock xxxxx
...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.016s
and off course the other options like "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img "... doesn't work.
I can't use the adb commands neither.
when I type the commande, as mentioned above, "adb devices" or "adb continue", nothing works.
So I'm a bit desesperate
do you have any solution for this kind of issue?
thanks
Dude, so the last firmware on your phone was MM or N? If it was MM you should put stock firmware appropriate for your model in dload folder on SD card and put volume+volume-power, and thats it. If you stack on N,....then I dont know because dload method doesnt work with N, or maybe works if you can find stock firmware with recovery for N.
Regards
Unfortunately I can't update with the 3 button update otherwise it would indeed solvemy problem.

Probably you didnt have correct Oeminfo for MM if dload method didnt work....Try to conect phone with Toolkit and follow procedure for flashing oeminfo and custombin, after that flash stock recovrry and b161 via dload metod. You will find it on forum here.
Regards
the procedure from SRK toolkit?
would it be possible to provide it? because I can't unlock the OEM and I didn't tick the USB debug think.
Maybe problem with the ps not phone so u can not connect with adb
Try with different pc you must have flash oem with fast boot without enable adb from phone if u in fastboot
I can only boot my phone in fastboot (vol- + power) and not in recovery (vol+ + power).
also when using the SRK toolkit, the first screen tells me to be sure that the usb debugging is enable, which I haven't done...
if I'm not mistaken, fastboot is to use the fastboot command and recovery the adb commands
the connection with fastboot works on my computer, the link is made. however when I type the command to unlock the OEM, I get an error stating that the command is not allowed.
when I use the SRK toolkit, with the different questions, he tries to connect the phone with adb and waiting.... waiting...
is there a command to reboot in recovery but from fastboot? in the otherway around it exists but it doesn't seem that from fastboot to recovery it exists.
thanks.

dload method works on N. I downgraded my phone from unofficial N update back to official MM update using this method yesterday. You just have to enable OEM at developer options on settings.
It looks like people can't be bothered to read the 1st post properly before they reply.
HE CAN NOT BOOT TO ANDROID SO HE CAN NOT ENABLE OEM OR ACTIVATE USB DEBUGGING!!!!
What he CAN do, is go into eRecovery and Fastboot.
With that in mind, I would suggest using the dload method through fastboot.
Also, make sure it is Huawei SRK Tools 2.0 that is used, as it actually asks if you are in debug mode or fastboot.
Note that there is a few bugs in SRK 2.0:
The TWRP recovery file has the wrong filename in the package, so it WILL fail unless you name it correctly.
Also, when trying to root, do NOT use the "P9 Lite" method as that WILL fail too. Use the "P9/P9 Plus" method.
I am trying to set up a complete guide that can restore the phone when it is stuck in fastboot, however I apparently went a step too far...

Boot into fastboot mode and flash a custom recovery by meticulus. Link : meticulus.co.vu
Then whenyou get stuck hold power and vol down button for 2 minutes the phone will reboot and then when it says that your device has been unlocked and cant be trusted then only press vol up key ( dont press power button then). The u get into huawei recovery. From that u should power off the phone. Now get a custom rom by meticulus into your device sd card ( Cyanogenmod 13 is recommended ). Then insert sd card in a powered off phone. Now press vol up and power key and flash gapps and custom rom and you are good to go.

So, MY question:
I have tried 4 times to get Nougat installed, but every time I got the SMALL package (1.25gb) which means it is not complete.
I decided to try ONE more time, but think I have made a serious mistake.
I was on B161 and tried to downgrade to B160 without upgrading to Nougat first.
This has caused my phone to be stuck at boot with the message "Your device is booting now..."
I can NOT get into eRecovery or fastboot no matter what I do.
If I just leave the phone, then it discharge very fast, but as soon as I plug it in, it starts up and gets stuck at the same screen again.
Does anyone have ANY idea about how I can get out of this problem?
UPDATE:
I have managed to boot to fastboot while connected to my pc.
The phone is unlocked but FRP is LOCKED, which means I can't flash anything.
I read about using Miracle Loader to remove the FRP lock, but it can't "see" my phone. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

Try to relock and then unlock the bootloader again. And make sure oem unlocking is enabled in dev options

I can NOT boot normally. And as FRP is locked, then I can't relock or unlock the bootloader.

Go to fast boot mode and from their try to flash meticulus recovery.
You can also try the adb method as well.

only the lg g6 h870 international is unlockable via official lg unlock
u misunderstood my question, I only wanted to find the ID of my device in fastboot, not the root process.
Do adb reboot bootloader ,then once in bootloader do fastboot devices, and it should bring up the id
Sent from my MIX using XDA-Developers Legacy app
that's the problem my phone reboots normally but not into fastboot mode when I run those commands, even when I try volume - and power button it goes to factory reset screen and when I went further it reset and booted back normally but not into recovery or fastboot, that's why I was asking is there another way to find it.

Galaxy Note 4 N910C - Can't unlock bootloader - Fastboot mode is missing

Hi,
I want to install a custom ROM in my Note 4 and upgrade from Android 6.01 to Android 11, and I know that the first step is to unlock the bootloader to avoid issues later on in the process.
I've researched different ways of doing it, and this is what I found:
1. Enable the OEM unlocking option in the phone.
The phone does not have the option to enable OEM unlocking in the developer options of the phone.
2. Go to download mode (starting phone with Power+Home+Vol Down keys).
At this point 3 options should appear. One of them being Press Vol Up to enter Device unlock mode. Well, only 2 options appear and the one missing is Enter
Device unlock mode.
3. Start in Recovery Mode, then select Enter Fastboot.
I started the phone using Power+Volume up+Home to enter Recovery Mode, and a menu presented with several options which should have included the
Enter Fastboot option, but the option is missing in the menu.
4. Use your PC to issue adb+fastboot commands.
I successfully connected the phone to the PC and tried to issue the corresponding commands using adb and fastboot. Adb commands work well. Fastboot
commands do not "see" the phone. (just in case I've tried several different drivers)
At this point I've run out of options, and everything points to the "hard-to-believe" fact that this phone doesn't have the fastboot mode.
Is it possible that the phone does not have a way to unlock the bootloader? or at least checking that the bootloader is unlocked in a way that leaves no doubt about it? (I can't risk bricking the phone based on the assumption that the bootloader is factory unlocked)
I will really appreciate any help in working this sort of mystery out.
Thank you!!

If your phone is exynos, just factory data reset and go to download mode and flash TWRP.

Thank you for your answer!
It is Exynos indeed.
Have you tried this in a similar situation? or in case you haven't, could you please explain how you are certain that this will work well?
Because it is difficult to ignore the large number of warnings about going on with the flashing without being sure that the bootloader is unlocked.
