[GUID]Bypassing safetynet after August security patch on custom roms - OnePlus 5T Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey guys ,what's up
For many that encountered the issue and don't know how to fix it.
Cause
The problem is caused by the uncertified fingerprint that your rom has eg:LineageOS fingerprint.
Solution
So,it is simply fixed by replacing the fingerprint with the official OnePlus 5T fingerprint using Magisk Module :HideProps.
Instructions
1-Obviously,you need to have both magisk installed and HideProps module(you can find it in magisk repo)
2-using terminal Emulator change your device's fingerprint to an official one(preferably OnePlus 5T fingerprint)
3-reboot to apply changes.
Note this will not bypass safetynet if you have xposed installed, this simply bypasses Google CTS integrity test due to the presense of uncertified fingerprint(which all custom roms have)

You shouldn’t if you follow steps stated in following tutorial:
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/blob/master/docs/tips.md
1) Restore boot image from Magisk Manager
2) Download and apply update (Without rebooting).
3) Install Magisk to Second Slot After OTA (From Magisk Manager)
4) Reboot
I would also disable all Magisk modules, just in case.
Thanks try this now and say if all OK, and if I use this metod root not gone?

for me this method has never worked. I tried it every single time since the January Patch. After the update you loose root and have to do the "normal" method anyways again.
So i wait 8.1 and again root or maybe was another metod to get update and dont loose root

OK.
But strange that rooting the phone is causing such language changes. I have never seen that.
SO what language do you have usually set on the phone?
What if you just try to set the language to what you want to have?
Fixed it by update ota then rooting through flashing fastboot patched directly

Looks like you might have installed the lite version of Magisk, which doesn't support modules. Make sure that you are getting the full APK. As the offical Magisk was killed after they hired the developer, there are a few updated versions since then that are still getting progress. Just make sure that there isn't a lite.json in the hosted area if you're wanting modules.

!!! Not support MIUI !!!
Introduction
Code:
Q: What is KernelSU?
A: KernelSU is a kernel-based root solution for Android
Q: How different from Magisk?
A: Only App that is granted root permission can access `su`, other apps cannot perceive su.
Installation
CI Repo: link here
Code:
1.Go to CI repo and follow the steps to build or download on Release
2.Flash it on your Recovery
3.Install KernelSU manager and check it~
Notes
Code:
Please grant root access in KernelSU Manager by yourself, as the app cannot sense its presence, so it will not actively ask for root authorization
KernelSU can coexist with Magisk
You need to flash KernelSU again when update your rom version
