Heat - Motorola One Power Real Life Review

Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Motorola One Power stays cool under extended heavy use. A higher rating indicates that even when playing strenuous games for long periods of time, the phone doesn't get uncomfortably warm.

Good to hear, usually most phones I have used, when browsing the web for a while, the phone heats up.

The processor is optimized well. The device gets warm with heavy multi tasking but not hot. Only time it gets above 42 degrees at the back is if you play PUBG at HD and Extreme FPS with the case on!
Then again, the phone is limited to Medium and Balanced for optimization reasons!

I played pubg for 20-30 minutes with adaptive brightness and it just got little warm only

I used 3 to 4 models of Moto compared to them heat is very less. Some times it heat little bit. Noting to worry .

Played
Asphalt 8, MC5
felt negligible heat.
Must admit, I've played a couple of games for a few hours and it just doesn't heat up. Very impressed!

Did you play games on mobile phone while are in the camping ?
congrat, little boy.
call us when you are over 14
bye.
Bull****.am a Nokia 8 user it heats like hell while gaming and charging literally my friends started to make fun of my phone.it really sucks
Maybe a fault?
Honestly mine just gets slightly warm at best, my old phone would get too hot too touch doing anything intensive, never tried playing a game whilst charging tho
I've found mine remarkably cool - yes it gets slightly warm on rapid charge, but I've never found it getting really hot like previous phones, even under intensive processing. If you find it getting very hot under normal use, try it without a case (some cases trap heat to a silly degree) and if you still have a problem I'd suggest getting the phone looked at. It's not a hot running phone.

Done stress test using app and in 10 minutes phone top half, but top half of the front screen heated most
Overall use for the last 3 days phone didn't manage to get hot. And just played around 30-40 minutes of NFS No Limits resulting again in almost no noticeable difference in heat.
Used a couple of days.
During normal use didn't notice it getting any warmer. Same goes for some not so demanding games.
With some more hardcore gaming I can maybe feel a warmer spot when I look for it.
Will update after I run a stress test for funsies and do a longer gaming session.
Overall, awesome imo!
edit: While gaming for longer time, Less demanding games like clash royale and so on do not heat up the phone at all. Playing Hearthstone and PUBG also didn't notice any significant heat-up. It all depends on how the game is optimized, overall good games even these more demanding won't heat up the phone much. I tested some early access game, it heat up a lot and drained battery very quickly, the phone heated up in the top part near the camera.
My one does tend to get fairly warm but that's about it.

Just a normal heating.. While playing heavy games like mc4.. Or gangstas Vegas for about half an hour..
While performing Bench mark tests I observed heating which is common on all the mobiles other than that I havent noticed any heating.
BTW I live in India where current temperature is around 43 Degree Celsius
I played PUBG for about 20 minutes and the back did heat up a bit but nowhere near as much as my old Honor 7.
I'm getting heating issue on the back of the phone while heavy gaming, which is normal for certain phone, the problem is the game start to lag, framedrop, the phone getting thermal throttling.. make bad experience while gaming.
anyone having this issue?

Does it make your pubg lag? drop in fps?
Today i was running Antutu Benchmark and the Honor 10 get hot as ****.
Compared to Honor 9 the Honor 10 generates much more heat. Its uncompfortable to hold in the hand. Especially the volume Keys get heated up. Not an issue for every day usage but the Kirin SoC is an hottie under heavy benchmark load.

No I haven't had anything like that but I didn't play for too long, I'll let you know if it happens.

Try max all the setting, it run really smooth, but, at some point, the fps will drop, and sluggish..
To get you some idea,
HDR - around 5 mnt..the game will lag
Balanced - around 20 mnt ingame, then i need to change the setting to smooth to make the game less lag
The phone gets a little warm when playing PUBG, but nothing out of the ordinary.

With normal phone usage phone doesn't heat up at all. When I'm heavy multitasking _watching a YouTube video while downloading a a torrent and reading a manga using tachiyomi and charging at the same time it does get noticeably warm but does not lag or become unbearable to hold
Does get warm when using for extended periods for gaming/ heavy usage, but doesn't slow down
From all the mobiles I've used in the past, I find Galaxy A50 the best one in handling the Heat. It stays cool in heavy usages
Well... no heating issues here. I would say that I am a normal user. Some games some YouTube, emails and web browsing. Have the phone only 2 days so too early to say...
I notice device gets hot on charging and while making some calls too
while playing PUBG it stays at 58-59 FPS for the first 10-15 minutes but then it goes up and down and and finally settles at around 45 Fps during extended play. Device Stays little warm not too hot

The heat dissipation is very nice i tried PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile on my S9+ and it got hotter than my Mi Note 10, yeah obviously it has a better CPU over than the Xiaomi but it runs every game smoothly without any lag i played hours and hours with the two games and the battery finished at least didn't got hot the device. So the overall heat dissipation is very nice for this device.
the heat is to much when on 4g just browsing, the phone gets hot

Mine overheats a lot (like hell lot i would say 60+ Celsius) when using Bluetooth with the DJI Mimo app for some reason, but only with that app. Gaming and everything else is ok.
