Does anyone have any remarks about build quality? I have a Honor 8 and love the device, but it is fragile with the glass back. How does this one compare to Honor 8? I heard it's metal.

It is pretty good. The build quality is excellent.

The Honor Play has an all-metal design which is durable and cool to the touch. Overall it has a really nice feel and design.

better materials compared to my earlier HOnor 8 but this being the glass is fragile on any day,
The Honor 8X has the best materials you'll find in any phone in it's price range.

The Honor View20 has an amazing build. The border feels like a high quality metal while the back plate has a lighter plastic feel. This leaves the weight of the phone on the frame which makes for a really nice feel.

This is kind of an interesting department for the Honor 20. While the phone definitely looks nice, it doesn't feel like premium materials. When you tap on the back plate, it has a sort of hollow sound to it. The phone is also kind of squishy. If you squeeze the center of the phone, you can definitely feel the back plate bending inwards. I'm more of an all-metal body fan, like they use to make for the honor 7x phone.

It feels really good on the hand
Kind of heavy compared with the Mi A2 but looks like a premium phone
definitely a very high quality feel. it is like a better version of m9 with larger battery and nicer colors, while not being a lot heavier. i think xiaomi is differentiating itself from redmi in that it'll use higher quality materials and quality control and it shows on my devices. some take-apart videos from china also lends support to this.
Very good quality in the hand, feels that the materials are really premium, however, in the back, the sound feels a bit hollow when touched. On the front, the screen has a light oleophobic layer that helps to clean it, although it seems somewhat improvable.

feels great but is plasticky all around not to mention the squeaky sounds at the back near the power button, YIKES!
People say Pixel 4a feels cheap because of its plastic build quality but it don't matter to me coz I always use a good quality case with my phones. Whether it's a costly phone or budget phone I always use a case.
