You cannot root or flash twrp You have upgraded your device to far and cannot downgrade to root either

You have a snapdragon version that has a locked bootloader, there is no current standalone root method, if you have the latest bootloader installed then the mentioned methods you've used won't work as they haven't patched it yet. Blame the network providers for all this.

same issue

5th digit back from end is bootloader revision there is now a method of rooting nougat only. No oreo or pie. Fortuanatly the method installs safestrap where you can flash a nougat system img. Su and busybox. On top of a revision 5 combination nougat bootloader. Look up s8 safestrap edl
As a side note more than likely you will convert your model to a U model instead of a w

G900F Bootloader

Ok, so I'm technically a new user on XDA although it's not the first time I've read through things here and been relatively successful with rooting and flashing different ROMs. I made an account recently because just reading is no longer helping me
Anyway, I'm trying to unlock the bootloader on the Galaxy S5 G900F model. I've been able to install Philz Touch Recovery and gotten root access, but I still can't flash a ROM because the bootloader is locked. I can't seem to find a method, specifically for G900F, but I've tried several methods already including the following:
[GUIDE] Unlocking the Galaxys S5 Bootloader … | Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...t/rd-unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909
- All 4 methods don't work which isn't surprising since this is for G900V, the Verizon one.
How to unlock the bootloader, install and update LineageOS on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 – /jdrch
https://jdrch.wordpress.com/2016/04...genmod-13-0-on-the-verizon-samsung-galaxy-s5/
- Same problem as above, it's for G900V
Twrp, Root And Bootloader Unlock For Samsung Galaxy S5 - Droid School
http://www.droidschool.com/twrp-root-bootloader-unlock-samsung-galaxy-s5/
- This one just frustrated me because I knew the fastboot method didn't work on Samsung phones, but I tried it anyway.
I've also tried using the CF-AutoRoot flashed through Odin, but that ended up failing too.
If anybody can point me in the right direction or something, it would be very much appreciated.
G900F is int'l, so its bootloader is unlocked from the factory. G900V, the verizon model has a locked bootloader. Decide if you have a G900F or G900V.

[help] G9550 HK firmware binary blocked by FRP

Have s8+ on HK firmware. Cant flash anything custom due to blocked binary by frp. No oem in dev options, removed google account and samsung account, unlocked BL via CROM. Please help how to fix it. Thanks
It's a Snapdragon 835 device, which means the bootloader cannot be unlocked, just like the US carrier variant bootloaders. If your bootloader really was unlocked, FRP wouldn't be blocking custom firmware. Exynos bootloaders can be unlocked from dev settings, but not Snapdragon bootloaders.

You're saying that you unlocked the BL via CROM, but it's not unlocked if you can't flash custom firmware in download mode. Having a locked bootloader means that flashing custom firwmare is blocked, exactly what's happening here. If the BL can be unlocked, just unlock it, I don't get what the problem is?

explaining again.. CROM told that bootloader is unlocked( i dont know any other tools or ways to unlock bootloader on that device), but i still getting message, that it is blocked by frp, which means that something is not setted up like it should be. THat is why Im asking here fo any way to fix that issue on current device.
I'm also having this problem. Upon trying to either install TWRP 3.2.1 or chainfire's root file via ODIN, I get the error "Custom Binary (recovery) Blocked by C-ROM". I have tried to run the CROM service apk, versions 1.0.4, 1.0.6 and 1.0.7; however, upon opening, they all freeze and close, which seems to mean they didn't do anything. When going into download mode after running the CROM Service app, CROM Service is on and, when trying to install via ODIN, I get my errors.
I have the Samsung Galaxy 8+, G9550, 128gb and 6gb rom, Snapdragon Variant. I have found articles saying that the 9550 variant can be rooted since it's the HK version, although some say that it needs HK firmware. I'm on the AQF7 build.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Firmware from SM-T377P on AT&T SM-T377A Tab E?

I was just curious if it was at all possible to flash the firmware from the T377P model to the AT&T model (T377A) because it seems like most of the development is for the T377P. Has anyone achieved this yet or attempted flashing any other model's firmware to the T377A?
Flashing SM-T377P firmware on a SM-T377A wouldnt work, because the T377P uses a Snapdragon 410, not an Exynos 3475 like the T377A uses. Flashing SM-T377T (T-Mobile) firmware might work, since it uses the same Exynos CPU as the T377A

I'm just curious what the best alternative firmware would be to flash (if possible at all) on this tablet because there's absolutely zero development on the AT&T variant (T377A) of the Tab E. Preferably a firmware that's been successfully rooted, etc.

Unfortunately nothing can be developed for the T377A because the bootloader on that variant is locked, so that means we can't do anything to the device, even with Odin. If there was a way to convert a T377A to a T377T, or if there is engineering firmware for the T377A, then maybe development is possible.
On another note, I found somebody's backup of the Nougat firmware for the T377A: https://mega.nz/#!eHJSUCoZ!54BXNlvrL6RJfEHzS4qNOj3eqwCpxSrzrI2l_IqHe84
Contains the AP, BL, CP and CSC files.

Can you please describe what you did to unlock it? I've tried 1000 things and nothing seems to work
You have to request the unlock code from AT&T, there's a slight difference between doing it for phones from your own plan or someone else's phone (you received as a gift or purchased second hand). They walk you through the process for each type of equipment so it's relatively smooth.. I just want to remove the bloatware and have a security update more recent than tree years old. This is my main gripe with AT&T, stuck with questionable bloatware and a vulnerable version of Android (and it's locked down so tight no one can fix it on their own).
So you were able to unlock the bootloader by following an AT&T tech over the phone?

SM-G975U (T-Mobile Galaxy S10+) Rooting, etc

It's been so long since I last rooted my phones, maybe 6 or 7 years now... I don't even know where to start. Is TWRP still the go-to method for rooting these Android devices?
I couldn't find anything specifically for the T-Mobile variants, dunno if that's been done yet.
Thanks,
Nick
Your bootloader is locked and cannot be unlocked. No root or TWRP available.

No problem!
Is this device always going to have a locked bootloader? Flashing an unlocked firmware wouldn't change anything? Im new to samsung and have been out of the rom game a long time.

These devices will always be locked down. The last U.S. Samsung phone to get root was the S9, the S10 line are locked up tight. Flashing unlocked firmware just makes your phone carrier free so you can use it with any carrier, it doesn't unlock the bootloader.
What phones are best for modding these days then? Just came from a Pixel 4 XL and it had a locked bootloader plus tons of hardware issues that ended in me getting this phone
I would say a One Plus phone is probably the most versatile as far as modding goes these days. You could also get an exynos S10 variant which can be rooted and custom recovery installed.
