Updates regarding Android Pie for S8/S8+ Snapdragon
This thread has no advantages for now as android pie has just been officially announced few days ago for google pixel phones so you will get it by the next year most probably the end of march early april. No need for duplicate the thread with the same topic you should've asked the moderators to open your old thread.

The wait is over!
You may recall that XDA announced a development competition for the Sony Tablet Z, in association with Sony. The tablets were sent out, the developers have been working, and now it's time for the voting!
Here's how it works - I've put together a list of all the projects that are part of the contest. I'll give the link to this list in a second. You should read through all the projects (yes, it will take a few minutes, but please do take the time to read through it). Once you have read about all the projects, you will have the link to use to carry out the voting.
The information to vote is not posted here. That information is available within the thread of information about the projects. If you can't find it, you've not read about all the projects. Do not ask people for the link, and do not send them it once you have found it out - this is to make sure that everyone voting has read the information necessary. Don't bother trying to cheat, just read about the projects and you'll see how to vote.
Who is eligible to vote?
Anyone who was registered on XDA-Developers before 9 AM (GMT) on the 26th July 2013, and who is not a member of XDA staff. One vote per person. Any accounts created after 26th July will have their votes discounted - votes will be checked. This date and time was selected as shortly before information on the voting process was made available to competition entrants. Voting closes on Wednesday 8th August, at 19:30 GMT

Theres no mention of the NEX camera, at least that I saw, anywhere in the recent posts.

I am creating this post beacuse obviously the thread is too dead, and there is no one single post talking about the lollipop or even discussing the time of recieving it or any leaks or rumors. And I know a two or three single beginner members how want to absoultely show off will reply now saying, seriously one more lollipop thread, yes am serious this one is made so we can discuss every single detail about lollipop upgrade any leaks any updates I will be updating the post with all the tools needed to be ready for the upgrade as it is not organized in one thread.
Anyone who would like to participate or have any news do not hesitate to discuss it with us here

The first batch of phones ship in 1 week. Why is there no section on XDA for these phones yet???
I remember when i preordered my Galaxy S6 the section was up pretty much right after the preorders went live.
I want to discuss the new phones but im tired of discussing them inside other threads like the PN thread or the "Which phone are you gonna get after the 6p" thread that went up years ago.
I'm sure there will be a separate section soon.

No one has made it yet. Make it if you feel it should be made. I just made a thread about "discontinued" threads being in the "Best threads" section. I'll either get praise or whined at. That's all you can expect.
