'System UI isn't responding' and 'Process system isn't responding' w/ restarts - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

(Moved from general discussion)
Hey all,
I've run into a bit of a pickle..
I replaced the screen on my S8 (SM-G950U) and after booting, it immediately gives 'System UI isn't responding' and/or 'Process system isn't responding'.
Shortly after (1-3 minutes) the phone will reboot. The errors may appear 1-2 more times before rebooting.
A bit of info:
Model: SM-G950U
OS: G950USQU4CRE9
Steps taken:
Clearing cache does nothing.
Factory reset via recovery mode has no change.
Flashing stock ROM (same version) with ODIN does nothing either.
Before restoring I was able to go in and see the RAM was reporting what I assume is normal (~30% usage)
Also the front camera was no longer working, but I've replaced that as well and haven't had the phone on for long enough to get through the initial setup to test.
Anyone have a potential solution / suggestion? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!
Edit:
It might also be worth noting that the shutdowns only happen after booting. There's no issue when entering recovery / download mode.

Havr you tried safe mode?

I know this is an old thread but hoping to get some guidance. I am facing the exact same issue on my at&t s8+ snapdragon as mentioned above. The device is unrooted and was with stock oreo rom. suddenly started showing either "system iu isn't responding" or "process system isn't responding". Later the device started hanging and kept restarting. It restarts from samsung logo instead of the device model name unless force restarted. This cycle keeps happening. I am able to access download mode and recovery without any problem. recovery initially shows "installing update" followed by "no command" but then works normally. The device doesn't power off even from recovery, it keeps rebooting. I have tried (1) cache wipe (2) factory reset from recovery (3) safe mode (4) installed stock rom without problem (5) installed latest stock s8+ unlocked xas pie rom without problem (6) installed latest stock s8+ sprint version pie rom without problem but i am unable to even end the initial device setup as the device keeps hanging with these errors and restarts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

S7 EDGE bricked or hardware failure?

My S7 edge had been acting weirdly for a few weeks, things like random restarts once a few days so I didn't pay much attention and over excessively heating up to 50/55 degrees (I usually checked the temperature through CPU_Z), and just a few hours ago I ran into problems like the phone restarting on its own, never getting past the samsung logo on boot, so I did the normal thing everyone else would do and just factory reset the device through recovery mode, a point to add here the device took an absolute age to load into recovery mode, this wasn't a case of bad key combination or anything like that, the device would load this the dmverity tree hash verification thing and sit there for a good 2-3 mins which is unusual, same thing happens with factory reset takes an absolute age and comes back with the following text-:
"E: format_volume: make ext4 failed on /dev/block/platform/155a0000.ufs/by-name/USERDATA with 1(I/O error)
-- Set Factory Reset done...
Data wipe failed."
booting up the device in this state would show up with an error "Device storage corrupt" with a " reset device" button in the bottom of the screen which didn't respond to any touches which was weird as well because holding the power button and then selecting the power off option worked with no issues so it wasn't an issue with the touchscreen.
searching for a solution on google led me to flash a official firmware that I downloaded from updato, just a heads up my device has never been tampered with or had any kind of software modifications this includes flashing any roms or even official firmwares before, so I download the firmware and flashed it as usual this is the firmware that I flashed through odin 3.12.3 firmware version was G935FOJV1DQAV also my device model is SM-G935FD while the firmware I flashed was for SM-G935F but this shouldn't be an issue because when I usually got updates over the air on the device they would be for SM-G935F so if there were any issues with this they should have popped up a long time ago, so everything went smoothly and the phone booted up again as usual, did the initial setup and adding accounts, recovery everything, hooked up the charger and left the phone to download all the necessary stuff through samsung and google cloud recovery, comeback after a few minutes to find that the device just wouldn't respond to the power button or the home button to wake the device up but the led on the phone was flashing in blue color which means I did receive some notifications, so I hard reset the phone by holding down power+volume down key, same issues pop up like before the firmware I flashed getting stuck on the boot samsung logo, went back to recovery to do another factory reset again it keeps freezing on the dm-verity tree hash thing, but this time the factory reset happens properly with no errors, but the device doesn't boot up at all, gets stuck on the samsung logo and the led on top starts flashing in several different colors, just like when you boot up a brand new S7 edge.
As a last ditch effort I try initializing the device through smart switch, everything goes normally but when the flashing process starts it gets stuck on 7% indefinitely, tried everything else but to no avail, tried flashing through odin again but it gets stuck on the same point as smart switch, tried installing the firmware in parts through odin again gets stuck on the same point when flashing AP but other parts get installed without any problems, download mode boots up fine, recovery mode now boots up very slowly with a dm-verity error "E:failed to mount / system (invalid argument).
I have 1 month warranty left on my S7 edge from where I purchased it, I want to send it back for a refund or a replacement but the only thing thats kind of worrying me is that in download mode the knox switch hasn't been tripped still shows 0 (0*000), but shows system status as custom, will this effect my warranty claim if they check my device?

A5 (2016) Stuck on Boot-screen (Samsung Logo) after Software Upgrade

Hi guys I kindly require your assistance concerning my Samsung A5 2016 A510F, device was running android 5.1.1 before I updated to android 7.0. Here's the reason why I updated, device was acting shaggy it would suddenly close apps during operation. for an example with error "messaging has stopped working" would close most of the apps with the same error or suddenly restarts itself especially when the battery is less than 50%.
So I then attempted to do OTA update but failed to install "error, invalid file" so I went the Odin way, Downloaded stock firmware and flashed via Odin, everything went smooth until reached the "apps optimization 40 of 40" stacked there for about 30 minutes until i decided to restart the device, upon restart the device no longer went pass the Samsung logo stacked there.
Here's what I tried to resolve the issue:
- Cleared cache
- Factory reset
On recovery screen i noticed an error about "e: failed to mount partition" I tried almost every solution I came across to on Google with no luck. I then tried flashing to this custom rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/development/rom-resurrection-remix-rr-v6-unofficial-t3765542
Installed successfully but gets stuck on "checking for software update" I reinstalled the custom ROM again but this time without the GAPPS device booted successfully to home screen, went back to TRWP this time installed the GAPPS rebooted, it went successful, however device is unusable it keeps popping error "google play services closed" every 2 seconds.
Please help, is my phone officially dead I need clarity. Your assistance will be highly appreciated thanks in advance

Stuck on "Starting Android..."

Hi Guys
I used Odin to reflash my Galaxy S10+ dual sim (duos) as it was experiencing some slowness. I used the Singapore firmware as it uses the same "G975FXXU1ASBA" model name.
The process completed successfully but when the phone boots, it gets past the Samsung logo screen and then gets stuck on a blank black screen with "Starting Android..." showing in the middle. I can swipe down from the top to show the toolbar, but it is limited in what I can select from it and the phone doesn't get to the point where the home screen boots.
I'm guessing this could be an app optimization process but after 4 hours, it was still on this screen.
I've tried re-flashing (redownloading the firmware files), clearing the cache and rebooting the phone.
Does anyone have any ideas?
In case you do want to start clean anyway, have you tried doing a reset in the recovery menu (where you are wiping the cache)? This will wipe all data.
I may have to try the full wipe, which is something I wanted to avoid but seems I have no choice.
Hopefully that at least solves the problem.
I have the same problem but I cannot get it to boot into recovery or download mode. I was flashing Magisk at the time. Odin said it worked but now it wont pass the initial stating android... Odin detects the phone but can talk to it. ADB does not even detect the phone. Phone power and reset come on. if i hold both volume the assistant comes on and if i hold bixby the safemode tag appears in the bottom corner but it still wont boot past Starting Android or boot into download mode

G950F (Austria) - not able to boot up: 'Installing system update' leads to error

Hi all, maybe there is someone active here who can help me bringing my SM-G950F back to life without losing my app / user data.
Last thing I did was installing an App called 'Airwatch Intelligent Hub' in the Google Play Store. This for some reason caused a reboot and this is where trouble started.
Here's what happens:
My phone is shut down - I'm turning it on.
'Installing system update' message shows up
'No command' error message shows up
After some time, an additional error message in the stock recovery shows up -
I am selecting 'Reboot System now' - I have Secure boot enabled, entering PIN
Loading animation shows up
The phone reboots during loading animation
I have to enter the PIN for secure boot the 2nd time
Loading animation shows up
Phone seems to start - 'optimizing app m of n'
Loading animation shows up for some time
Back to the 'installing system update' screen
Error message in Android recovery
After shutting down the phone, I am able to repeat the whole process
Photo story of the boot process:
Here's what I have tried:
Cleared cache out of the recovery
Did a full power circle
Tried safe boot, but without any success
...
Downloaded the stock ROM (Andriod 9) for Austria (A1)
Flashed the stock ROM via Odin 3, but with the CSC_home to avoid a loss of user data
The process finishes successfully, but after starting the phone, the process described above starts...
Hey. First of all they app you tried is the reason of this (maybe) so you need to wipe it . Don't worry it be fine but you have to loose your data in order to use it . Open recovery somehow and then wipe data then try restart may it work if not then flash stock rom its not compulsory to flash Austria ROM i mean you can flash other versions just the file should be for sm g950f. I hope may it helps you just give it a try. Data is not going to be usable unless your phone is.
StayBlessed.?

S4 stuck in bootloop on stock android

My Galaxy S4 VE (GT-I9515) crashed. (the screen went black) It was not rooted and ran the latest Andoid 5.0.1 ROM.
When I turned it on, it went into a bootloop, randomly crashed during booting, or turned on normally. I removed sd and sim card and tried a different battery. Furthermore I tried to boot into recovery mode and wiped the system data and the cache. It did not help.
Sometimes it was not possible to get into recovery mode because the phone's screen went black and it rebooted.
Then I tried flashing multiple stock ROM files using Odin, but it did not solve the problem.
After that i tried rooting the device and installed a custom recovery (TWRP), but i still got random crashes during booting and sometimes it got stuck showing the samsung boot animation. The only things that work reliably are the Download Mode and the charging animation.
Now, what can I do to fix my phone?
I read a bit about flashing a .pit file but I don't think that will help?
Is this a hardware or a software issue?
How can I find out, what caused the problem?
