[Question] Which is overall the best oreo rom? - LeEco Le 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey guys, I've been bit off from this forum, and currently running Validus Nougat ROM on my Le 2. Just wanted to know which Oreo Rom is best and stable in terms of performance and battery life since I wanted to update. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion it's XenonHD. Very good battery life and it's pretty stable. Google camera is a lot stable than other oreo ROMs (currently using google camera from one of the posts in the mods section here in this forum and OpenCamera). I think it's worth a try.

How's the overall performance? Is it any better compare to other roms? Cause every Oreo Ron I tried had sluggish performance and only Validus Nougat ROM feels fluid till date.

Performance is really good. Everything opens fast and gaming performance is awesome too (demanding games will drain the battery fast).

To be honest, best rom overall is samsungs stock rom 6.0.1. All the features (gps, nfc.....) work, you get good battery life, much more stable than any other rom, and even better performance than any cm. Also all the icons in status bar in cm looks retarded and its hard to understand what they do as there is no text below them, you also get a good camera app that no aosp android has. So yes, overall samsungs rom is the best, iam very dissapointed in the whole cm and aosp roms, they try to bring something else, but they fail miserably to bring any improvements, as there is too many bugs that get in the way.
For best overall ROM, stock 6.0.1 is what you want. Performance and battery life is best on stock.
As for custom ROM, my favourite is Resurrection Remix v5.7.4. Battery life is great (not as good as stock) and has all of the customisation features that I like. CM13 is also good and I find it the most stable custom ROM from my usage. Gaming performance however is a hit and miss on AOSP ROMs.

So i am not the only one that has seen even 2d gaming is very bad on CM.
AOSP? Resurrection Remix. Theyve been rockin as of late. TW? MOAR 7.0. Other than the fact that its a bit old and isnt supported by the devs anymore, its a killer TW ROM.

Which ROM do you like most?

I don't see any comparison in this subforum.
Perhaps we can compare and discuss different ROMs
Which do you like and why?
I only really test CyanogenMod 13 and Lineage OS.
Can I add something ---
Which ROM is best for GAMING?
Ah ah I just had the same question. I wondered why there were so many flavors of Lineage Os, and what were the difference. For the moment I have tested only stock (Alxndr's rom) and Lineage 14.1 Official.
- Lineage OS offical is great. The fingerprint recognition is lightning fast, and the rom is globally fast. There are lots of customization and options.
- Stock has however a better battery life, Ultra Power Saving Mode, camera and dialer.
I don't do gaming. However, I can tell the performance in antutu is equivalent (+/- 53.000). Stock had a better 3d score (11.000, vs 8.000 for LOS) and should do better for gaming.
My dream would be a Lineage OS with ported touchwiz framework for edge, camera, sms and dialer. Or a S7 nougat rom with ported LoS fingerprint.
I am running Vaniraosp these days.

And why
I am using LOS at the moment and it blazing quick the only thing is that my phone heats heat up!!
Resurection remix for customisation. Fast and very good battery life base on AOSP.

AOKP seems to have everything working that i have come across and gets nightly updates i like Cr Droid but was still getting rotation issue Kltedv hopefully that will be sorted in the next update
Official linage
Tried LOS, Resurrection Remix and crdroid. LOS is good but seems so vanilla in front of RR and crdroid.
I like features. Resurrection Remix has the most features. crdroid is similar but slightly less features, but excellent battery life of all.
I switched back to RR from crdroid in the hopes of getting battery life improvement with boeffla kernel, forcedoze, hebf optimizer, but not seeing it so far. May go back to crdroid.
@freefourlife
Battery life with crDroid so much better? Any disadvantages?

No. Minor additional features in RR. Planning to switch back, as I couldnt get similar battery efficiencies even with custom boeffla kernel
I feel safer and more stable with official lineage OS, but this is only illusion in my head.

You are in for a treat for v 2.1 when it will be released. They are improving it a lot in terms of performance and battery life.
based on stock mm, great bat life, nice mods on stock SUPERLite MiNi MM *361mb*
i tested AICP, LOS and CrDroid i want to test AOKP, the most developed was AICP, but the battery life and the ram usage was the worst, but it was the better choice, all the things worked, but i prefer LOS, Crdroid it has a lot of bugs in 2.0, i don't tested the 2.1 but a few users said that the sim card is not detected so i will wait, it has the best battery life compared with the other roms but a lot of things aren't working so it's not the best thing and LOS is vanilla but with little customizations, so it's really cool, the dev's can improve the battery life but, i think that if you use LOS is ok for daily use.
I really like LINEAGE OS official. But I use custom TW roms just because I prefer TW camera . So I hope to use LINEAGE OS with ported TW framework for stock or N7 camera .

Never tested AICP, but there are daily updates I see.
crDroid has different problems I recognized that, too. And few updates.
I only have a very small test with AOKP, everything seems working.
At the moment using LineAge OS with (nearly) no bugs. Battery life is OK, but not perfect. Performance seems good, no problem at the moment.
But I'm always interested in other ROMs or interesting features etc.

What has been your best experience with which ROM+Kernel Combination?

Firstly, Good job keeping and sticking with this OP2 device ! You are truly something.
QUESTION : From all the Oreo Roms available, which has been your favourite combination of Rom and kernel, mainly aimed at battery life and maximum stability ? Keep in mind that this question is posed towards your opinion and YOURS ONLY. Just because you seen someone saying that it's the best, shouldn't be your combination choice.
Cosmic and bb
The new pixel rom has been amazing so far... good battery SOT and smooth rom.

Tried all Oreo Roms except Cosmic. The most I enjoyed AOS Illusion Project with BlueBolt kernel for the reasons you mentioned. Stable, good battery life and enough customisability.

Which is the best ROM based on smoothness and battery life?

Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory. Which ROM do you advise based on its smoothness and battery life? I'd like to keep the rom for a long time, so I'd like ROMs that continue to be supported in time. Thanks!
In my experience (tested global 11.0.0.1, eu stable 10.0.6.0, eu beta 9 12 12) and the last one was the smoothest, best working in performance although battery life is not that great as I wish).
The worst was stable eu 10.0.6.0 dont know why...
Pixel Experience (Official) with hasty kernel is good enough for me.
I would like to know as well

I prefer Pixel Experience Plus. Great performance and battery life
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/development/unofficial-pixel-experience-t4005213
In my experience, the difference in smoothness and battery life between different roms of a similar base is negligible, however, stock roms tend to be slightly better.

What's the best Android 12(.1) ROM?

Hi, I'm currently using miui 12.5 (android 10), and I'd like to "renovate" my lavender with a new and updated custom rom. Which one is the best, regarding battery life, performance, smoothness, stability?
I've read few posts about Pixel Experience, AwakenOS and crDroid. I'm a bit concerned about possible battery drain problems. Thanks for your help

So far I've only tried AwakenOS and ArrowOS and it looks like ArrowOS has better battery life.
But I've read positive experiences with SparkOS, so maybe you can try SparkOS.
In the while I tried ArrowOS and the battery life is indeed exceptional! I'm very satisfied

I have used both arrow os and spark os. Each of them for a week now.
Note that I have a 3gb ram phone.
Spark os felt a bit laggy. For example when I taped on a WhatsApp conversation to open it the animation felt not so smooth.
There are battery options to save more battery and other few nice extra features to tweak this and that as well. Spark OS has face unlock. Couldn't keep a few apps open because I got only about 400MB of free RAM.
Arrow OS on the other hand gave me less battery life. Maybe it's just me. But the whole ui was much smoother. Does not have face unlock. When I first installed it without updating firmware, I got about 800mb fee ram and now I have only 400mb left. (as much as spark os)
Hope this helps.
