Oreo Cell Suspended Battery Problem - Samsung Galaxy Note FE Questions & Answers

The cell is consuming excess battery. Is there a setting for that?

Do you by any chance mean high cell standby time?

Yes after ota updating, standby battery drain is too high..!!

cell standby takes up most battery life?!

hi,
today i tried to "stress test" my g1's battery. everything on, max display brightness, nearly the whole time turned on, running a few apps etc.
and now after 6h 10m it is at 8%. the surprising part of this is that cell standby drains 27% battery life. the second highest consumer is no less surprising, phone idle, 18%. then wifi, display and android os with about 15%.
this seems wrong somehow. is it normal that cell standby consumes so much battery?
i am running cm5.0.7 test1 which i remember to have an issue with battery life. somewhere i read that i only had to turn off the percentage-counter in the status bar (which i did). is the high cell standby consumption related to that? is there maybe another radio version Oo? (using: 2_22_23_02)

High battery drain from screen usage when running latest version of Paranoid Android

Hi all, I realized my battery drains really quickly when my screen is on(100% - 35% with 11h on battery, with only 2h 46mins of screen on time), 46% of battery consumption. Also, is it normal for the battery to reduce 2% every hour when 3G is on without using it ?. Any suggestions on how to get the most battery life? (Eg. Any particular Kernel etc.)
Battery drain could be due to a number of things, I don't use PA so I can't attest to battery performance on it.
As to the drain from 3G I can't say, I only use LTE or WiFi, but drain also depends on your signal strength. When your signal is low or no bars it seems to drain more.

Cell standby and battery drain?

So my S7 Edge currently doesn't have a carrier attached to it. (Using another phone temporarily). I'm getting high battery usage on the following 4 things:
Cell standby - 34%
Device idle - 28%
Android System - 23%
Android OS 13%
The phone was recently wiped, I haven't put anything on it yet. its been on battery for 7 hrs and its at 82%. Does that sound abnormally high? I have turned mobile data off too so not even sure why the cell is dying to use any power.
It's normal. The percentages are high because there is no other service that consumes battery, the drain (which may be very small in absolute numbers) is split between some services like standby, idle, android os, etc. You should not mistake a high percentage with high battery drain.

Is the cell standby battery use supposed to be as high as screen on time?

So I noticed in the battery section that the battery standby battery usage is always almost the same as the screen on time battery usage. So if I have 6 hours of screen time in two days, the battery consumption of the cell standby is almost the same as that. Is this normal or am I having too much cell standby battery consumption?
It depends on the strength of your signal. When it's weaker, the phone uses more battery to amplify the antenna reception. If you're in a deadzone, your antenna literally goes crazy, and the phone tells you to go into airplane mode.

The solution for the cell/mobile standby battery drain on the Moto G5+

I used to have this problem where my cell/mobile standby would be around 18% after 24 hours. Thats a lot of drain. I looked in several places for a solution but didn't find any. I even did a factory reset but still had the problem.
So I shifted my sim into the sim slot 2 and the problem was gone. Right now I have used the phone for 24 hours and the cell/mobile standby is at 8%
So that fixes that
eventhough the cell/mobile standby shows up in my battery stats on first place I dont have the feeling that it really consumes that much energy that it shows
my SOT is still great 6h+ with high usage so I guess it is a display error

Really? How much is your drain due to cell standby after 24 hours? Or even 18 or so hours.
Shifting my sim into sim slot 2 did not fix it.
Does anybody know how to fix it?
Try switching off wifi scanning and Bluetooth scanning under location settings. Also disable location history. It gives a better mobile standby. But even this is not a stable measure to stop abnormal battery drain by standby. Even I suffer from the same issue.
I believe its a software bug. Most people say they get good battery. Even i do. But I just can't digest the fact that mobile standby is using up quarter of the charge (250-300mAh in 3 hours) when the standby in my old Moto G2 uses negligible battery (60mAh in 13 hours).
