Working Android 8.0 Oreo: LineageOS 15 Build

So, it seems that LineageOS 15 is now working on the Redmi Note 4..

Not everyone knows, i haven't found a thread saying "LineageOS 15 available for RN4".. so i made one!!

This is early alpha, anyone who flash this'll not know how to prevent bluetooth FC for example.
That's why there isn't any thread for it.

You wont find them here because the developer who baked the rom didn't want to create a thread
this was mentioned in the Oreo discussion thread itself, the rom which only boots with most of the features not working
and this thread looks like promotion to the youtube channel even though it wasn't intended to be one

I thought some dev just created a Rom thread in general sections... lol

The only truth is, i think there should be a proper thread for LineageOS testers. Even though, the developer doesn't want anyone to test his build, but it's out anyway.... So why not create a thread for it so that every one can test it and share their opinions.
We all know that in the end a user will install miui or other nougat custom rom.. but most of them wanna test oreo, so let them!

I flashed as multi-room secondary flashing is same as previous flashing
Flash ROM, gapps 8.0 find in android file host ( installation of gapps complete but twrp stuck at that point , switch of the phone , boot to recovery by pressing vol+ +power) then flash factory reboot fix zip , and reboot. If something not working, some reboots can fix that.

It is xda it most of the roms are wip.

Please give more details. How did it end up like that? Dirty flashed? Try mounting system in twrp then reboot.

i m using official twrp 3.1.1 and every Rom gets flashed properly.

Treble support?

FoneArena mentioned that this phone doesn't support Treble, having been confirmed by 'Asus support'. But they didn't show the result of Treble check app.

That blog is heavily misinformed by someone. Few of the reviewers have already confirmed that it supports treble.

According to Google, every phone shipping with Android Oreo should be treble supported. This phone is no exception.

Its use android stock rom / aosp so it didnt need treble support I think... Xiaomi Mi A1 with android stock rom is same... It didnt support treble

Btw we have confirmed that it has full treble support. We have a user from Indonesia who already got his device confirmed that. Has separate vendor partition and also the firmware which is available now on Asus website does confirm the treble compatibility(we have extracted and investigate the same). Attaching a SS from Zenfone max pro m1 from a user who shared that.
So yah its fully treble enabled. :good:

Every device launch with Android 8 is mandatory to support trebble, fonearena is noob or newbie type site and even their reviews are pathetic like battery banchmarks and all

Device can support Treble without having to support A/B.

Hello everybody. Some days ago I built a firmware , it works. Everything what I tested worked.
Instructions:
1. Wipe everything
2. Flash zip dotOS
3. If u want flash gapps

Flash the Kernel (boot.lmg) after installing the ROM.
You'll see how it starts, it's a great rom.
It is not a gsi. It's a ROM, install from twrp the zip.

After a reboot the phone boot directly to recovery not to the os, I think he mean.
