Here is a great article that shows the LG V40 leading the pack for cell phone signal quality: https://www.pcmag.com/article/364775/the-lgv40-has-the-best-cellular-reception-of-any-phone

Tonight I went to a Political Party at a location I had horrible reception at ... so much so that I didn't even bother checking my phone (V20) while there.
Much to my pleasant surprise, I checked my phone and it worked!
I took calls, sent and received emails and texts!
So happy with this phone!

At my supermarket I couldn't get a signal on my old phone unless right by the store entrance. Now with the V40 it gets a 4G signal throughout the store.

Using it on Verizon, it works great as a communications device. I've had almost zero problems with it getting a good signal except in places where I knew I wasn't going to get one anyways. It really does keep up Motorola's reputation for strong radios.
No issues here. The phone has a great signal quality. Data works great even in low signal areas and is a dependable phone even in travel.

Call quality is fine if enhanced calling feature is off else calls become choppy. I have been missing a lot of call lately and most of the time people complaint that my phone was out of coverage area. This happens everywhere be it work or home.

It's clearly superior to my old Axon 7, getting 1-2 bars where I wouldn't get signal at all before; but I haven't thoroughly checked dead areas yet, so it might not completely blow it out of the water
Great reception. Speed is a little slow since it is not the highest end processor. Still more than fast enough over LTE.

cellular is good, data has been almost flawless....
the only thing that seems to act up is when I open pandora it often says "you appear to be office switching to offline station" ...when I have great service... but like I said its only that.
I frequently stream video and use it as a hotspot (I run an IT company) those work fine.
Very good signal like my s8 active in areas that signal is low, still works.
On the other hand s10+ was horrible. I'm going to try out the s21 soon, if it also is bad, I'm returning it.

Strength
I've noticed the strength isn't as strong as my G7 and was having call issues. I drove to my cell services closest cell tower and parked under it. My strength just kept up going up and down. I pulled the SIM card and reinserted it, restarted the phone, turned off throttling in developer options all to no avail.
Any way I have a new one coming in a few days since this one was 1wndays old.
I have a G8 Power. My strength just kept up going up and down
