I just got my v40 three days ago. I got the factory unlocked one and I'm running it under the Verizon network on Straight Talk in the United States. I think the call quality is excellent. Definitely better than what I was getting on my Sony Z Ultra on the AT&T network.

Excellent, unlocked it for Tmobile and it is simply superb. 4G LTE all the way, signal reception is great and clear.

The problem is due to Google Assistant's Voice Match, which is recording all over the time => battery drain + low quality phone call...

I dont know how the "rating" works, but in Chile, in rural areas, this is the best one (cheap one), its many times the only one thatll have a signal, of course there are high end cellphones that can outshine this one.
