I guess I'm a medium user, video, browsing (a lot), some calls and texts and downloading.

I think this battery def could have been bigger, but, it's def not bad. And it will improve with Pie, I know that from the experience using another android phone.

BATTERY LIFE: Light Use Endurance

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Note5's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.

With light use, I can get 2 days out of this phone. I never could with my rooted s5. I'm thrilled with how good this thing works with light usage.
Dear All,
i want to know your phone when you full charge with your note 5 100% what is the timing estimate usage hours?

what s the point of being completely stock or not? it s a well known fact that rooted (aka non-stock) users get the best experience out of android phones...if i wanted to stick with stock i would have gotten an iphone LOL )
here are my results after testing- check out my results of light usage - post #223 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64195339
Stock Dual Sim n920cd
My T mobile Note 5 with light uses lasted for 2d 3h 50m after fully charged . I dont know how to add pictures to my post so i'll list my battery usages here.. (navigating with Google map, wifi or data always on, location always on, screen on for almost 4 hours, 1 hour of navigating with gps). It runs a fully stock room and firmware, non rooted, but with some bloatware disabled.

Hi
My estimated usage is 48h 47 min. I have disabled quite a few apps with package disabler pro and only have location settings on when I need to use the phone as a sat navigation.
Dave
I've been using my phone very lightly recently and I'm getting good numbers on battery pefromance. I'm not wacthing a ton of youtube vids, twitch, social media, or sending lots of pics or videos. So my phone for the most part while I'm at work is streaming spotify. Sure I'll look up stuff and ebay or social media but not for long. So recenlty light use endurance for me is pretty good. But still doesn't help that while at work, I have 3g and sucks the battery and I have to charge it at least once a day, but considering light use endurance I'll that out of the equation.

Can a few of you guys post how much mA the phone uses when e.g. playing music for several hours ?
exact hours + minutes and the consumed mAh ?
I'm looking for a phone in the long term that is very efficient with music playback yet has power (like the Note 5 Pro so need more information about it)
Thanks

It's from the Nougat MIUI 9.2.4, now i don't even think of that much backup now because I get like 7 ~ 8 hours of sot in miui 10 global beta ROMs....
Never expected I would get this much standby time out of it, but I am still pleasantly impressed. Screen was 50-70% brightness 90% of the time. On WiFi 100% of the time.
On Pixel Experience Plus (from September 26th), no battery saver, running Extended Kernel EAS.

Define "tours" by days.
The OP6 should last a day of normal use with ease and possibly more if used lightly.
But if you hope you can go through three days without a charger while using the phone often and hard, not a single flagship can offer you that, maybe one of those 10000 mAh phones.

Update: So I followed a couple others' advice and did a factory reset and did not restore from backup.
It has made a huge difference. Phone battery life is way better now and it seems to charge quicker--both wired and wirelessly.
So, if you're having poor battery performance, and you restored your phone from backup, try doing a factory reset and not using your back up (re-import Contacts from Outlook, for example).
04.14.2020 So I've spent the past two days getting my V60 set up and things transfered from my old V30. It sucks, by the way. After more than two decades, moving to another phone still works very imperfectly.
Anyways, I've been downloading files non-stop via wifi and mobile. Also lots of SD card access. I've been browsing, listening to music, and also watched some YouTube here and there.
I started around 8am and I had to plug my phone in at 7:50pm.
That's way longer than my V30 but its battery has been going downhill for some time. I think I was expecting more use out of this heavy brick of a phone. It's great, but seems low. I don't know if that is something that will improve with use. (is that a thing? Like breaking in headphones?)
I get maybe 11 to 12 hours of SOT with heavy usage. that's with the dual screen case although I don't use the dual screen too much it definitely isn't left alone lol
I get about 9-10 hours of SOT. YMMV, of course, but for me the battery life on the V60 is significantly better than the S10+ (6-7 hours), particularly the standby drain rate.
So, the battery life has been great, although I've only had the device for about 36hrs. But I have a question, is it normal for the "estimated time remaining, screen to just always say " analyzing? It never changes. I've circled it in the screen below

i would consider myself a pretty heavy user most days. Almost always streaming via 5g on 2k resolution(yes i know its only fhd but in my head i convince myself that a 2k feed on a 1080 screen produces better quality), while using gps and bluetooth. I game a couple hours a day, and i also get into benchmark wars with friends after work leading to Antutu and geekbench Olympics.
battery life usually gets me through the day, and over 4 months, the only visible degradation in my experience has been more frequent google branded app crashes(this could also be from me being a beta tester of basically every app thats available to test). I've also noticed an ever so slightly slower app launching speeds.
battery seems as strong as day 1, and the battery health information provided via Accubattery, is showing 4970mah, but take this information with a grain of salt as there's still no 100% consensus on the accuracy of their methodology that everyone can agree on. I feel that as long as ive used accubattery that it's been accurate on all of my phones, which is why i had no problem purchasing pro version, as i think they're the best battery statistics app on the play store. GSAM is supposedly a decent one as well, but i'm familiar with accubattery.
