New MOJO owner, needing firmware and root - M.O.J.O. General

Hello all, I just recently acquired a MOJO ( know, late to the party) and it has the stock firmware on it. So far, all my efforts to find a suitable download for the newer firmware has failed. Essentially I need to update the firmware then most likely root it with Xposed so I can change the HID properties because it seems that the triggers on Bluetooth controllers don't work when connected. Apparently it registers as gas/brake from what I understand. Any help at all on this would be much appreciated.

Direct install for 4.4.2

Hi all,
I haven't updated my device in a while, due to my root.
But i thought is was time to finally update it. So i'm wondering if i can update it directly from 4.4.2 (stock firmware), or i have to update it to some higher firmware.
Also if you have any suggestions to a nice ROM, i am open for inputs
It would be awesome, if i could use the new snapchat features also
Hi,
Yes you can, but by Odin's way.
I suggest you to update on HOH2 last build for your country on Sammobile.

Help Finding Firmware (SM-T280-NOOK)

So my tablet the SM-T280 has a NOOK version, but all the specifications are matching properly. The NOOK edition, called the SM-T280-NOOK has been upgraded to Marshmallow though, where as the non-NOOK edition only stops at 5.1.1, and I would like to attempt to swap the firmware out for an updated version of Android. I'm reaching out for help finding it as my Google-Fu may not be mastered enough because I was having difficulties and thought this would be the right place with the right people to ask. If you can assist me in finding it, it would be deeply appreciated, and probably from more than just me. Thanks for your time.

I think that is just a fallacy. I realise that some sources on the Web report it has, but I feel this information is incorrect.
I have attempted to find such firmware and it doesn't exist and neither can you purchase a nook with this firmware.
It even states on the software update page the last update was only a security update.

Thank you kindly @ashyx that was the fear lol Just going to go ahead and look into buying a new device that has more development here, probably would work out better in the long run

Galaxy Tab A 6.0.1 SM-350 System updates after root?

Hello,
I'm new here, although have lurked for a long time and have several (newer) rooted devices. There's normally enough information for me to solve any problems I have here but this time i'm pretty stumped.
I just rooted my Tab A SM-350 (MMB29M.T350XXU1BPK1) with TWRP+Magisk. I need it to be on a newer update for a app that i'd like to use, it's compatible with 7.0+. It does pass safety net currently, but when I go to update, I get this error:
The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Smart Switch on your computer or visit a customer service center.

I know that if I update using smart switch it will go back to stock. Is there a way for me to install system update without unrooting and also keeping all of my installed apps?
Thanks a ton, i'd really appreciate any help

Upgrading GT-P5110 with newer Android version

Hi
Was hoping to get some guidance from anyone who has successfully upgraded the Android version on their Samsung GT-P5110. My daughter needs to install educational software that requires Android 5 or above (due to COVID/Home Schooling). Id love to buy a new tablet but Ive lost my job so hoping to get this old tablet working. Has anyone succesfully upgraded this model? Any help with instructions and links to correct versions of Odin, TWRP and OS Image would be most appreciated. Ive got some tips from this thread but not sure where to get the correct file versions..

Samsung Galaxy Tag A7 doesn't detect USB-To-DVI video grabber device anymore

Hello guys,
i was using a USB-To-DVI video Capture Card device to use my tablet as an external monitor.
It was working just fine using an app called "USB Video" from the PlayStore using the pre-installed Android 11 on it.
I recently made an update to the latest version: SAOMC_SM-T500_OXM_EUX_RR_0005 EUX/EUX via online update, so my unit it up to date with the latest firmware on it (state: 2021-10-06).
Unfortunately, since i updated to the latest version, the USB-To-DVI device is not detected anymore. Neither the application i used, nor any other similar application did work anymore, so expect it to be related to the firmware update. Seems like UVC devices are blocked now?!
Do you know about anything that would explain this change? Or is there anything else going wrong here? Any help would be appreciated!
EDIT: A connected Logitech C920 works fine.
P.S. I was also thinking about a downgrade via Odin, but i was not able to install any previous firmware to the device. Neither any earlier Android 11, nor any Android 10 version for the T500.
