Issues with equaliser - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

I've been having issues where the built in equaliser doesn't work. So I've installed third party apps and they are all blocked from changing anything. I haven't got anything else installed apart from Sony's music player and Tidal.
I'm running stable oreo 8.1 (not rooted)
Has anyone else experienced the same issue and know of a solution?

To use another eq, you have to remove or disable the others. Go to your apps from the Android settings, show system apps, then find MusicFX. Disable it and another eq should work.

Didn't work. Still can't get stock or third party equaliser to work

Q- Does LG G2 A2DP Allow the audio Equalizer?

I am contemplating getting this phone, however as I found on the Optimus G Pro, LG didn't seem to enable the equalizer for its outbound bluetooth streaming profile. So applications such as Google Music showed no options for adjusting the sound equalizer.
Can anyone out there with this phone give me a heads up on whether or not this is still the case?
And i realize there are other applications you can download to do this from the play store, but I like to not have to install applications to take more system resources and the 3rd party EQ's don't generally sound very good either.

Third Party Equalizer Problems

I have a Moto X Pure Edition running Android 6 Marshmallow.
I have Vanilla Music, Google Play Music, and VLC installed. I had installed Noozxoide EIZO-rewire (one of the variants), and it does not work. All other equalizers I tried don't work either. I know how to set the equalizer, and I've tried the AudioFX data clearing trick. It don't work.
Have any of you had this problem, or found a working equalizer?
I know for a fact the eizo doesn't work anymore; correct me if I'm wrong, for any phone with lollipop or better.
For AudioFX, only works with the music app it comes with. Are you rooted? I use v4a, why don't you use that? Or the moto equalizer? Just curious I guess

Why I can't use V4A... My phone is still under warranty.
Why not use Moto's equalizer? It's not really adjustable... I like full frequency adjustment like the regular stock ICS equalizer had.
I use THIS. Then I uninstall the vp4, and XTREMEmusic apps. Sounds good enough for me, with my LG-HBS700's.

Accidentally Disabled Stock Music Equalizer

Hello,
I own a Nexus 6P, running Android 7.1.1. No root or anything like that. My problem is simple: I installed a custom audio equalizer, it asked me to disable my default equalizer (the one that you can access through Play Music), and I confirmed. How can I re-enable this stock equalizer?
Thank you so much!

Equalizers don't work and Audio Effects only works in Google Play

As the title says, I have downloaded several equalizers and none of them will work in any audio app I have tried (google play, slacker radio, etc.). When I tried to use the built-in audio effects app, it only works on Google Play and not Slacker Radio.
Are there any solutions to this issue? Does a custom ROM fix these issues?
Thanks.
Yes it is the issue. I have poweramp and it has its own equalizer which works only in poweramp. And if I change the effects in default equalizer, it won't affect poweramp settings.

Is this a device issue, ROM issue, an app issue or a Marshmallow issue?
No idea. Probably device issue.
I think BlackPlayer might have an option of letting you pick the EQ, at least when I used it consistently it asked if I wanted to use the system or app's EQ.

Will this allow the use of an equalizer within other audio apps like Slacker, Amazon Music, Pandora, etc.? If the EQ only works within that app it doesnt solve the problem. Thanks.

Equalizer?

Hi,
So Google Play doesn't have the Equalizer in settings, and I've read that it hides the option when the device has its own. But as far as I can tell the 6T only has an EQ for earphones...
Am I missing something, or is there a 3rd party EQ app that you can recommend for Bluetooth speakers?
Cheers all!
