Sense UI for Italy (TIM)

I have a Italian phone (TIM Branded), but I'm in the United States. I've tried 2 gold cards to try and do the TW Sense UI update, neither worked. I'd seen some posts about TIM getting the official Sense UI update in mid November. Anyone know when this might happen?
As this week ends I guess the hope of a mid November update comes to an end. I sure wish HTC would get this update released in Europe.

Who decides when Froyo is released?

I am on Bell Mobility (Vibrant) here in Canada. I noticed Rogers will have the Galaxy S (Captivate) mid October and has officially stated “expect an update to OS 2.2 to be available early 2011.″ So anyone know if this would be Rogers dictating the release date or is it Samsung? Also, if Froyo is released early 2011 with Rogers' Captivate, would that most likely mean the same date for all Galaxy S devices in Canada?
While samsung release firmware,
carrier has to approve whether user can upgrade it or not.
Thus firmware can be out but if bell, your carrier, does not approve it,
You will never get official update.
This is particularly annoying because canada is usually slow.....

Where to buy 4g version

Hi does anyone know whether we will be able to buy the 4G version that isn't going to be locked into a particular carrier?
Just I am in the Philippines and they are generally about the last country in the world to get things like this - so i would have to wait until September or 1Q 2012 before i could buy it here...
Also can a carrier locked version be unlocked at all?
Thanks in advance
The only carrier version that has been announced so far is for Verizon, expected to come out in July with LTE. No other information has been released

No updates at all

I bought my S8 few weeks ago and it is still stuck on Nougat with December security updates. It is Polish distribution and from what I heard they are getting Oreo for a few days now, but mine still nothing. Not even newer security updates. Is it possible that my updates are somehow blocked if I don't use phone in Poland?
It could be worse, you could be with EE in the UK who are famed for being one of the slowest operators in the world when it comes to software updates.

[SM-T380] Difference between country builds

Hi!
Just won a Canadian Galaxy Tab A (2017) SM-T380 at my job's Holiday party. I'm a bit displeased to see that it comes preloaded with 7.1.1 Nougat, a bit more displeased to see that no Canadian upgrade to Oreo exist, and much more displeased that the latest patch updates are dated January 1st, 2018 -- practically a year ago. Having no update/upgrade available from OTA, I went to SamMobile to see if a newer ROM was available, and found that some region did receive an upgrade to Oreo 8.1, with the Singapore and Korean variants having received security patch up to November 1st, 2018 and most European countries up to September 1st, 2018. Not so much love for North America...
Though I'm pretty sure I can flash another region's ROM on my Canadian tablet, as in the end they all share the same SM-T380 base, I'm wondering what are the differences between countries builds? I mean:
- Are the differences only limited to different base settings?
- Or are some capacities enabled in some countries, but disabled in some others (i.e. languages, keyboards not included, etc.)?
- Or (worse) does various countries ROMs include additional bloatwares bundled softwares?
- And could a specific country variant include, say, some mechanism to collect user data while another one would not have it?
What are the differences between a Canadian ROM and a Singapore ROM?
Oooooookay, litterally a day after I post my question above, I go back to SamMobile, and there's an Oreo 8.1 upgrade for the Canadian region variant. Pretty nice!
Still, my question would stay, I'm intrigued about the variations between regions.

Us Canadians ALWAYS are last to receive updates, it seems like.... Probably because our government makes sure to keep us censored and oblivious to what the hell is really going on with the rest of the world.

LOL quite like the description. Though I believe it's Samsung's policy, don't know why -- because I also have a OnePlus phone, and Canada is one of it's test market when updates are released. Samsung devices are obviously more common than OnePlus', though.
Still, I'm still wondering what is present or absent from a Singapore ROM that is not part of the Canadian ROM...
