MIUI MM based

As MIUI 7 based on Marshmallow was released some months ago by Xiaomi i was wondering how many of you would like to have this rom on their phone. It would not be so hard to port because there are many talented developers around and the Xiaomi Mi 4 has the exact same cpu as LG G3 and its got its own official rom. Also, another question would be if you find this rom more attractive than aosp roms or stock based roms.

I have a redmi 3s stock rom file running android marshmallow and miui 9 i want to port the rom from redmi 4x running android nougat and miui 9 is it possible to port roms based on different andeoid versions

There's 3 -5 ROM all have voLTE bug .
Otherwise all are completely stable

I have read around that have been created various custom rom because xiaomi has released kernel source based on hours, the question is:
When I go out android 9 while xiaomi has not done android stock based on android 9 missing the kernel based on android 9 then there will be no custom rom based on android 9 missing the source of the kernel?

First of all, Android 9 it's not ready yet. It's only the 2nd developer preview out. When the finished build of android 9 comes out, we can wait some month's for the release of kernel sources for android 9.
Second we are waiting now for the 8.1 release, not 9

It's possible to have Android P without kernel sources but it can take a longer time to make and most likely buggy in the first few months of development
Look at older phones such as Galaxy S2. It has Android 8.1 even tho official development ended more than a decade ago

We had 8.1 ROMs with 7.1 sources (before Oreo sources release), and Mi A1 will receive Android P officialy and likely P Kernel Sources..

Downgrade android version

Hi. Right now I have miui 12.5 based on Android 10, I would like to flash a custom aosp rom based on Android 9, do I need to do a full downgrade to Android 9? or can I just flash it?
