how do you install this ruu? I tried the sd method and also with adb but it does not work. My ultra was on oreo and I later installed leedroid but I can not get back stock.

You need downgrade to Nougat. This file is OTA file, not RUU

HELP PLS! downgrade p8lite fail.

hello
i unlocked bootloader and rooted my p8lite, twrp is installed. im on 6.0 marshmallow and want to downgrade to 170, when i bought it it was on 171,but i want dual sim. the problem is how to unroot it and install stock recovery, than install b300. i tried already but it said no update.app found. what could be the problem. i had supersu on my homescreen could not delete it after unroot. i searched all xda and google for it but cant figure out what to do next. i realy need this badly to do,because i cant open anything on my phone its like a tablet. if anyone can help me wth steps to try. i will try again to unroot, install stock recovery nad try again to force update b300 "UPDATE.APP".
can i install 170 on b300 or it must go, b300-b190-b170 and than b534 6.0?
pls help and thanks
Make sure the name is "update.app" and not "UPDATE.APP" for me b170 worked just fine after that last night.
Also b300 does not visibly change anything. And install the b170 from the dload by boothing the phone while holding all the three buttons on the right side and release when you see huawei logo.
you need to flash stock recovery. Then flash v052 via fastboot commands. (info and links you can find here on xda). Then you can do upgrade through EMUI updater (by local update files) - info about upgrade to dual sim you can find here, on xda, again). Those are my steps, tried few times. Good luck.
Probably you need unroot the phone.
i fixed it. thanks anyways.

Stock recovery question/request

I was hoping someone could help me out. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to extract the recovery image from the firmware zip? I tried to do so on my PC but I received an error saying the zip was invalid which I'm assuming is because it's signed by HTC. I'm trying to avoid flashing the firmware in RUU mode since I then lose root. My goal is to be on the stock recovery with root so I can receive OTA's when they are available. If not, does anyone happen to have a copy of the stock recovery for the 1.19.605.22 software . I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Pulled from RUU using Universal HTC RUU/ROM Decryption Tool 3.0.7 by nkk71
Stock Recovery - VZW - 1.19.605.22
Great thanks. Saw this tool on a couple of other sites but only for Linux. Didn't know there was a Windows version. It's pretty straight forward. Feeling kinda dumb for missing it.

I can probably see right now, you've done it wrong... Download stock rom from huawei.consumer... For some reason i thought it's gonna be android MM, but it was android N, so no problem here, just download stock rom and you will have newest android.
You probably downloader rom from xda, rom it's in .zip right? And you tried to flash it with TWRP?

Yesterday I had this issue, it's more easy than it seems. In Revolution Recovery for Nougat, flash the update.app ZIP with 6.0 , it will show you a lot of errors, but don't worry, it's ok. After this flash than DUALSIMOEM.zip and after that shutdown your phone and use the 3 buttons method to automatically ,,update" to B161.

I will try your method but firsr I have a question: If i restart my phone I get a message on my screen that my phone is unlocked and can't be trusted. So that means my bootloader is already unlocked and I don't have to unlock it again? So I only have to flash revolution recovery and find the file in firnware finder?
Is there a instruction how to install revolution recovery and where to find the file...?

Your CID is rare for single sim variant
First you need a Ruu for ur specific CID
then the rest of the steps are pretty much the same.
