Outdoor visibility (max brightness) - Vivo Nex Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Vivo Nex's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

The brightness on phone is strong. I tone it down when indoors. As for outside brightness: what phone has ever matched outside brightness? What phone out today has ever conquered outside brightness?

Farly better than my Axon 7 outside. Really night and day ...

Just a heads up, turn off adaptive brightness and you can make the screen much brighter... Don't know if this is meant or what..
No problems outside. But like chanter100 says, adaptive brightness seems to keep brightness around where you set brightness, but if you turn off AB, then brightness gets higher.
Not the best, but I have had all my phones on low brightness, because I rarely use them in full sunlight.
Not as bright as some but really not much in it really.
It's not too bright, but it's usuable.

Not a really good performer here. If under the sun, it has a mild visibility. compared to my Nokia 8, It looks pale.
When outdoors on the shadow, it does looks good, just be sure to have the auto brightness on, or enable the outdoor switch on.

It works quite good on me. I can clearly see the display on sunlight (I'm turning on my auto brightness). Well, just a little con, I personally think it adjusts the brightness a little bit too long (delayed maybe ~1 second). It's not a big con, but still, sometimes I find it a bit annoying.

Any tricks for boost brightness ?
Hi, I got yesterday mine. Great device for sure but the readability under the sun is very poor. I am quoting the question.
I think max brightness under direct sunlight is the only weakness this device has. Its not too bad for me because I don't normally have to look at the display in those conditions but I think just 5 to 10% more brightness would be perfect.

My Personal Experience using this phone outside. It SUCKS Big time. Can't see ****. I always have to find a shady spot to read texts or anything.

No issues. Very bright IMO in direct sunlight.
It's a bit brighter than my S8. The slider is less intuitive, I had to turn off auto to take over and push it. Very bright for a phone.

I've been playing minecraft for 18 months and I don't really want to go outside but when I do I can see the screen well enough.
Dim screen at maximun brightness when outdoor
I just have this device for a week.
Today i used the Google Map for direction while on motorbike. It's cloudy (no sun), and I have difficulties to see the screen even at the maximum brightness.
I don't know, maybe it's me as i am used to see my old and much cheaper Samsung Galaxy J1 maximum brightness where during day time (on my motorbike) even with the sun shines so bright I can easily see the screen.
A bit disappointed with my new Realme 5 Pro for it's maximum brightness.
Thank you for the thread.
