My vibration motor sounds like a jackhammer.... anyone else?

Hi people. I noticed people were pretty unhappy with the OPO vibrator (I never had one). The first thing that I noticed when I used the OPT was the terrible sounding vibration motor. It is loud and it sounds like a cheap bullsh*t phone. Does anyone else experience this or is only my model?
Is there any way to compare mine to other models? Maybe someone wants to share a sound recording or something, so we can start to compare

i wish mine sounded like a jackhammer lol. mine is so light i can never hear it but i've learned to deal... makes me look at my phone much, much less.
I didn't want to start a completely new thread, so I'm just gonna resurrect this one...
I seem to have some issues with vibrate on touch, namely that the vibration is loud and that every 3rd or 4th vibration is louder with a clicky sound to it... Anyone else experiencing anything like that?
Mine is the same. Seems like the motor is slightly loose. Slightly annoying but not a real problem for me, I just hope it doesn't get worse. I have had previous phones where the motor got louder over time.
Same the vibration engine seems to be not the best quality.
Alright! Was worried i might have to send it back, now i can unlock the bootloader in peace!

Something loose on the inside?

Helloooo everyone. I only have one question, want to confirm or debunk something with the wider group of people. I may be just over reacting but thats just the jewish part of me considering the rma or a refund, kidding, lol. Whenever I shake my phone by the ear I can hear a lil something being loose in the case of my g6. Do You also experience the same thing? Can it truly be the autofocus thingy, or something else?
I don't hear anything when I shake my phone. Is it your phone, or do you have your phone in a case? If so, have you tried removing and shaking both separately?
Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk
Well, it happens with a firm shake, and the vibration inside is very delicate. Appreciate the feedback
It could be the OIS on the main camera. I don't hear a shaking but my hearing isn't that good either lol
It's the camera stability, it's perfectly normal. If you put your ear next the the camera and shake the phone quickly you should hear it. Also try it while the camera app is open and the stability is working, you shouldn't hear anything.
Damn, I can hear it just the same with the camera app.

Is it because of them dual lenses? The sound does diminish depending on the lense Im using.

I can hear it and i think thats perfectly normal, probably for every phone. Don't really know what it is but i was always suspecting it was gyroscope or something like that. My LG G3 also had this same sound when shaking.

It's OIS, or optical image stabilization.
Ok. Thank You all for help! I get real concerned really easy. I only bought my G6 a few days ago. If it wasnt for my 4yo daughter pushing the sim needle into the sound cancellation mic hole on top during my brief absence in the room right after I brought the thing home Id be completely chill rofl. )
Sorry to reply years later, but I just dropped my G6 and then tested it, and shook it hard, and noticed same rattling lol. I took my fiancé's iPhone that also has OIS etc, iPhone 6S that is, and although it sounds tinier, the rattle is still there.
The reason why some owners don't notice the rattle and some do, is because it solely depends on how hard they're shaking their phone AND the direction or way they're shaking it. That is all there is to it.
Your phone is awesome and not broken, at least when it comes to this. You might have a totally different phone by now lol!
Cheers!

Of course it will vibrate! All speakers vibrate. The louder you set the sound the more you'll feel it.
The large glass back and solid construction of the G6, transmits vibrations very well. Also the highest ampletude of vibration is at the center of a surface, which is why you feel it more near the finger print scanner.
You don't notice this as much with phones that are plastic/loosely constructed, or with weak speakers.

Generic problem with the loudspeaker?

Hello, I have come to tell you one thing to see if it happens to any of you, I am very disappointed.
The cell phone is NEW has 2 days.
The loudspeaker to have the volume at the top is sometimes heard as saturated speaker, as if you almost cover, that vibration ... for example with the Skyline tone, it is like you do not finish listening to clean, bring the phone to the ear about 20 cm and put it to the top to see if the same thing happens to you, it's like it does not end up being clean and you hear a slight vibration ...
Now comes the curious .... I have tried 1 galaxy 8 from a friend does the same, 2 note 8 and 2 galaxy 8 from different stores and also do the same ... And for example in a S7 of a friend the same tone sounds totally clean, without that slight saturation or vibration or I do not know how to define it, it is similar to as if you covered the speaker and it is felt as a vibration ...
I do not know if it will be for the protection of the water that is like a mayita and half it covers and it sounds like that or that the 6 devices that I have tried were defective ...
Hey. Yeah, the sound is muddy, like it's coming from the sewers ? I was really dissapointed too, and I wonder why this wasn't mentioned in ANY review. Oh okay, I know why - money. Or people are just deff ? S7 had great speakers. LGV10, my previous phone, had this warm, clean sound too.
S8 speakers are the weakest part of the phone. I'm happy though that earphones sounds great!

Does the sound also have a slight vibration as if the loudspeaker were blocked?
With the melody Sparkle it shows a lot in the first second...
It's the waterproofing. No way around that, really...

And because a galaxy s7 does not do it if it is also water resistant?
Is a vibration heard as if you were covering the speaker ... is it because the protection grid and the power of the speaker make that vibration?
I'm so happy though that earphones sounds I think this great sound, but may be S8 has low quality speaker but for me great.

V20 VS G6? Which one should I pick?

So the lg v20 and the G6 is going at 155$ here, which one should I get? I really listen to music a lot, like a lot and I take pictures of scenery here and there, but I heard lg v20s rear camera lens cover cracks! Which cracks without even bumping into anything or whatever? Is it that bad? I really really wanna get the v20 but that problem really concerns me so should I get the v20 or the G6?
It would be a great help, I am really struggling to decide.
TIA.

Go for the V20. Dropped mine without a case douzend times. The only thing I did was installing a 9H Glass on the cams. Very stable now. As you can see V20 in general is more physically reliable and you have a swappable battery! G6 looks better though. If you are going for the G6 keep in mind that not all versions are having the DAC. I love my LG V20 so much that I bought a spare one. Dual sim New for 150 euro. :victory:
V20.
I've had both and it's a better overall phone

Why do you prefer the v20 over the G6? Since you used both, can you tell me the reason by v20 is better please?

Biggest reason for me is the screen ratio. I don't like the new 'tall' screens, they don't handle video playback as well. (lot of Netflix and mx player here) instead, the v20 has the very useful 2nd screen.
Second... The second screen. Sounds like a gimmick, but love it. Nice to be able to use the flashlight preview messages without even turning on your phone.
Third... Removable battery. They're both older phones, but I like the battery pull option or replacing the battery when the time comes.
I us3d to be a 'replace' phone asap kinda person. Ever since the ppc6700, I was always upgrading. That changed 4 years ago when I bought a used note 4. Loved that phone, but I appreciate the zip/e5c of the v20.
For me, 100 bucks well spent. (sold the note 4 for 75, winner!)

Thank you for your answer, but i am worried about the issue that v20's rear camera glass cracks with any little pressure, is that true? Did it ever happen to you? And hows the nightime photography for both of the phone since i mostly go outside at night and i like to take photos at night so it matters a lot to me, if you can give me some heads up on this, i can decide, it would be a great help!
Thank you!

I've had the v20 for 4 months and it's been a while since I've had the g6. (returned the g6 and went back to my note 4, aspect ratio annoyed me)
Might be mistaken, but I thought the cameras were pretty close or exactly the same? I was shocked at how good the camera was on the v20 (g6 too) compared to my note 4.
Bought my b20 used and with a solid case, camera lense is protected.
Hey so I've had 3 V20s and a LG G6 which I gave to my daughter. I love the V20 also because of the old 16:9 aspect ratio. And the removable battery is great for long trips. But I hate to say it but I think my beloved V20 is ending it's lifespan. I would think Oreo is last update it will get. And I tried Lineage but I need stock camera and DAC audio. And all my V20s had screen burn in. Never broke my camera lens on any of them but I guess I could see how that could happen because it protrudes a little. I guess my point is maybe G6 will have a little longer life. G6 is still a really good phone.
