Blame LG keyboard on the G Pro lol. A lot of people use there phones now days when away from computer to post here lol
Not sure why everyone wants the bootloader unlocked, I mean right now there is no reason to do so at all. And on top of that my last 3 phones this year have had locked bootloaders, but that didn't stop me from using international Roms, or Roms in general cause of Loki support or whatever its called lol

I'm curious as well about Loki. I'm not sure if it relies on the snapdragon 600 chipset or if its a baseband thing. May be something to look into. I'm not familiar enough with it.
Myself- I would be more than happy if loki works on our devices. Please, LG, let it work!
edit:
~just did a quick search... Loki relies on the Qualcomm APQ8064T.. or snapdragon 600 per Dan himself. dang.
Edit 2:
The 'other' LG devices it works on dont all have the 600.. so again, its possible. Hrm...
Possible unless Qualcomm fixed the exploit on the 800s

I suspected as much, so iyt looks like the official version for Australia will be the Snapdragon.
The Exynos will be grey market only.

[Q] Which One to Buy ? Dev will support ?

Obviously we are all waiting for the Note 4, yet it's Pricey.
Now comes the hard question.
Which one to buy ? and
Which will the Dev support ? (Future Proofing)
N910C or N910S
Snapdragon over Exynos
We all saw it in the S4 between the 9505 and 9500 so I don't want to get stuck in the same loop.
Please advise at the earliest since all the articles on the Web refer to Chip variants and differences yet no one has a solid answer to which will be supported and would be considered as a real investment. I hear the Exynos is benchmarked with 40K therefore exceeding our favorite Snapdragon chip !?
That makes it even worse to decide
International version is snapdragon if u care about custom stuff go for it.

Kinda. There's now multiple international versions and some are Exynos (some of Europe, Aus, NZ, HK and Korea)

I think the exynos version(s) this time around may prove to be a bit more popular because the believe (uncertain) that the 5433 will run 64bit (future proofing).

Tough to say, All of the USA market will have snapdragon, as will many other countries. That means there will be a greater percentage of "market share" of the S805 version with a better chance of having dev support on it.
Snapdragon
This is a million dollar question right here...

u planning on doing any dev work on this thing, or just gonna enjoy it?
I can't decide between the white or the black myself; I'd get the gold one just to be different, but, it wont be out for awhile, so dont want to wait for it..
As soon as i have the files i plan on working on recovery and if I get bored enough maybe more.

hahaha that's so true. Snap will have better dev support and GPU while the exynos MIGHT be 64bit enabled anytime soon and is definitely faster, but still not sure of how faster in daily use. Now it's up to you and wait for more information to come. For now, that's about it.

you give me far too much credit, i port recoveries and do minor things. bootloader exploits are beyond my scope of even understanding how many actually work.
The Exynos model should be faster, better on battery, and possibly offer 64-bit down the road. I'm going with that one.

Keep G6 or swap for S7 edge

I'm still undecided yet but I would like some opinions on whether it's a good swap or not.
Sent from my Nexus 6
I think the G6 is better. But it's up to you. What matters to you the most? Then pick the device that fits better.
On a pure monetary sense however, you'd be losing money in that trade. That might be important to you or not. You don't have to win on every trade as long as you're happy.
Evol on:
swap pls swap fast..
Evil off!
Similar decision for me, went for G6 and am very happy, love the design more than the S7, am very happy thus far.

Keep the LG G6
There is a chance to have a burned screen with the S7 Edge because of the AMOLED screen. That's one big reason why I hate AMOLED.
So stay with your G6 ?

LG G6 with a Snapdragon 820!?!?

Bought my G6 off a shady shop in Hong Kong, it runs hot like 40-75c all the time.
I checked using AIDA64 and wtf
Also used device info, same thing says 820
It has a warranty but no returns so I'm comfused
Hmm, mine is showing 821 MSM8996 Pro. But mine is H870.
Hardware Version Rev 1.1, max 2150MH per Core, this looks really like a 820, loool.
Maybe they really used the older CPU Version? What's going with LG, I don't get it ?
And the rest of the features match?
You may have just bought a counterfeit..
Post other screens of aida app, for see with my results
A counterfeit would rather be based on a cheap MediaTek SoC and a display with 1080p or less.

I do not see anything abnormal, has by course the Snapdragon
Be this model is planned with this processor for this country, be it a model of pre-production, which seems to me possible considering the date of production inscribed on the stickers on the back of your g6 (march 2017
Your g6 is the korean version. The 64gb model is coming with sd820. The phone is legit. Trust me,there is no difference. In fact, i like your version better, due to higher storage capacity. Not to mention korean model already has oreo on tests and it will be the first to get it.
Smart phones, dumb people.
@kimitza is right, everything is OK, European/US versions have SD821, Korean ones have SD820. The difference is incredibly marginal to be honest. You won't feel it.
