What are the problems with Bluetooth audio and GPay you are experiencing? Haven't noticed any issues.

Depending on the Region you choose (France for me, confirmed on multiple other regions) Bluetooth and Wired headset volume is extremely low on MIUI 10.0.3 Global Stable, you have to switch to U.S to get the sound Back as normal, plus GPay "is not available" for my device, still on MIUI 10.0.3 Global Stable.

perfect phone, for the money

I love this phone, it is everything I was hoping it would be.

I felt in love with Xiaomi brand since march 2017 when I got Mi MAX prime.
Unfortunately on fifth or sixth charging stuck on 70%, and after that, at list twice a year happens same think!
That is not all, when the device turns off and I plug it in shows 7% or 17% or 4% I turn it on let it drain and charge it again when is 0%
I thought was my bad luck, and continued to buy Xiaomi products ... selfie bluetooth stick, handsfree ear, even roller pens.
Last year I got MI 8 and I loved it until last month when ... turned off and when I pluged it i showed 30% THIRTY.
Am I so UNLUCKY????

I agree with battery drain issue, but everything except battery works perfectly for me, gps ok, sound and calling good, no crashing, fingerprint fast as lightning, mobile data never freezes for me and ambient display works fine. Im using stock april ROM.
Edit: talking about battery, I just dont know, I have a feeling that sometimes it drains and sometimes Its just okay, im a medium user, actually if I use my phone only for calling and some chatting - I have 40% left with 5,5 hours of SOT.
Posting my battery stats.
I get around 7hs of screen on time from a single charge. Not everyday I spend such much time with phone but on weekends I get around 7 or 7.5 hours.
The phone works well.. .it's not a top of the line phone, it's not a flagship (I came from a Galaxy S7, it burned itself). The camera app has to be changed to GCam if you want decent pictures.
So far, after the this month update, the one that provided April Security Patch Level, the only issue I'm facing is the Fingerprint bugs... half of the times that I want to unlock my phone it doesn't read correctly my finger and I end up using PIN to unlock it.
This wasn't an issue until this update, the fingerprint sensor and unlock was 100% accurate, never a miss... but Xiaomi fuc**d up with this month update.
Regards,
100% stock with April update.
No Battery issue, no fingerprint issue, in fact.... no issues at all, amazing phone.

I agree, but the battery could be a bit better, but it is 3000 mAh battery, not the 4000 like Redmi 4x and others.
I love my Mi A1 mate no issues whatsoever
Sent from my CMR-W09 using Tapatalk
I only had issues with idle drain which is now solved with April update for me at least. If I clear all apps from recents before sleep then I get 0% drain at night otherwise 1%. And fingerprint bugs? What does that even mean?

I have no idea where You got that list from as I don't recognize any of the issues at all!
I'v been using this phone since mid Nov -17 and travelling across Europe and Northern Africa several times without any hassle what so ever.
Of course there are "better" phones but as such, absolutely nothing to complain about.
There will always be people crying, whining, yelling and demanding for fixes, features and "issues" but quite many of those people "forget" to mention what they did before the "issues" started...
Unlocking, rooting, forcing updates and so on.
I don't get panic is a patch/update/fix is delayed a week or two or if I don't have the latest OS at same time as Nokia or Pixel phones...
This is my first "China phone" (6-7 earlier of various brands) I decided to let be original as long as ever possible and it just works.
Mobile data keeps falling away to the wrong frequencies. No real fix for it yet...
https://c.mi.com/thread-413908-1-1.html
I have no issues from the above list.
battery drain is very normal and and better than expected with my heavy use and it lasts from the time i disconnect from the charger in the morning until i get back to the charger late at night. camera is way better than expected (specially after enabling HRD+ using google camera) finger print never failed me and did not notice any mobile data drops that annoys me. sound is very clear during calls and the speaker is loud.
There's a larger amount of overnight battery drain than with my other phone (Essential PH-1) but the SOT is more than respectable and the fingerprint sensor is a lot more responsive than the one on my PH-1. The camera is only average which actually seems to be by design. Xiaomi phones normally take very good pictures but Google didn't enable the camera 2 api on this phone. Maybe Google doesn't want an Android One device to become competition for Google branded phones. I'm in the USA (which is not an official market for this phone) and pretty much the only issue I have encountered is that the MI A1 works way better on T-Mobile than AT&T. This is a really solid device for the price but at $200 it isn't intended as competition for flagship phones. But it is both fast and smooth and has pretty impressive build quality so I have no complaints.

Very Nice
It's a very nice handset. The only things I have against this phone is the stupid power and fingerprint separate buttons.
I know why this has been done but it still sucks.
I've upgraded from a Z5 Compact so i was surprised that it felt about the same weight in your hand. The width is about the same too so holding in your hend is comfortable.
It's going to stick out of the pocket though and I can't get the 'free' headphones until the promotion week.
The only thing I need to work out is the side sense thing as I haven't had a replacement handset for almost 5 years.. Migrating my setup from one handset to the other was ok but as a different android version the links where there but no apps.
Oh and the cameras are pretty cool. The whole 3d scanning thing is great as per previous handsets with this feature which I wasn't expecting on this handset and the Dolby atmos I've been using on my PC which does improve the listening experience when wearing headphones. The vibrating sound thing to me sounds like a battery waster. It's only day one for me but I'll keep this post updated as I go.
Day three and the battery life thing has been an issue. Just be sure you don't mind only getting a day (Litterelly 24 hours with a full charge) as with standard use and I haven't been playing games only using the camera so be prepared. You have to remember to kill off all apps before bed time as I discovered the battery went from %50 to ~%20 over night when I didn't do this. There are definetly some battery tweaks that need to be done here to extend the life. The smart charge thing is an assumption that you'll always be able to charge the phone.
That is a big screen and is using most of the battery. You're only option here is to reduce the brightness. The adaptive brightness seems to always return to 50% even though I've set it lower in the evening. If you could calibrate this to not go above a brightness during times then this would save some battery.
The screen is the best feature of viwing media on the phone IMO. You can finally see the whole picture and not waste screen space. The three cameras are awesome and the Pro video app is a great touch to these.
Oh one last thing.. There is no USB to USBc connector (PC to phone) You get a Female to Female USB Charging cable. If you're coming from Micro usb then this is unexpected.
Ok So It's the new year Jan (Half way through) and I have only just nudged over half my phones storage and that includes my family christmas vids which I haven't yet parked off onto the NAS. I really don't feel the need for expanding the storage of this phone and probably won't unless I start recording in 4K all the time. The pro video recorder doesn't get used as often as I'd like as you have to calibrate it before use for the lighting conditions so for quick vids the camera button is linked to the main camera app still. I got a usbc to hdmi box (ZasLuke) so I can plug this into the TV directly as the video quality is great. The problem (at the moment) is that you have the aspect ratio issue which you can use zoom for but until this new aspect ratio is used for TVs it seems a little weird.
I got the Android 10 update and as I'm no longer in the ROM dev game I don't have much interest in updates unless they can make my battery last longer. The battery will last over a day or two at a push but I rarly let the charge go below 15% I only reboot the phone when I'm trying to stream and I get really bad buffering issues on Amazon.
The "free" headphones get used every day for about an hour to an hour and a half and go back in their charging pod when not in use which has also had a couple of firmware updates to provide Alexa support now the range is surprisingly good too. When I come to use them again they are fully charged again. I don't charge the headphones for about a week which is great.
Oh and it has officially been dropped by accident on the corner but the protective case did exactly what I wanted it to and saved me from a fate worse than calling the insurance. Still shiny and unblemished.

Heavy use endurance

Playing Candy Crush for 22 hours straight can take its toll on your battery (and your marriage). Rate this thread to express how the OnePlus 7T's battery performs under heavy use. A higher rating indicates that it lasts a long time even when playing games, streaming video and audio, and doing other CPU-intensive activities.

Kinda makes me feel alone and which I never got this phone though. Thought this would be a developers dream... But, again, I'm so very wrong. Think this is still great performance even after a year of use. Thank you

HEY Wugga3
LOL I know what you mean. Every time I get a phone I regret not spending more time reading all the forums to figure out who's got the hottest dev community. Then after a while it fails to be a hotbed with fresh roms every week like I remember from years ago with my Note3, or even the original Droid.
I was happy just getting it unlocked and rooted, and I never did flash any of the ROMS that are around.
I just wanted to say, you are not alone!!
BTW I just broke my 7t, I spiked it 6 months ago and broke the screen, I was really happy with the relative ease of replacing the screen myself. It worked great until last monday. I dropped it, but just a normal drop from 5' onto a wood floor. Nothing happened right away but after a few min it shut down. It kept shutting down within a few min of restarting. I tried everything, wiped the phone, etc. and it still shut down within a few min of starting. Finally I tried safe mode and it stayed on for hours. Chatted with tech support. they said to send it in, and I just got the estimate for repairs - 500 bucks!! So they're sending it back as is and I'll just have a phone I can use on Safe Mode going forward!!
When the screen was broken I picked up a Nord N10 and the 5g was great on paper, but in reality, the slower processor (i assume) didn't make it feel any faster than our 7t when browsing. When I replaced the screen I went back to the 7t right up through last week. Still had great battery life at the end, too.
I ended up getting a refurbed 8t which DOES feel faster when browsing than the old 7t. Slightly faster opening maps too, but not worth the 500 bucks if my good old 7t still worked. So rest assured, if you're still using it, you're still getting max value from a great phone.
Take Care
Ben

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Xiaomi Mi Note 10's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.

standby drain is bad for a 5kmah battery
Such a huge battery drain for me too. Which forces me to recharge the phone when I wake up in order to have a full battery.
Check the CPU frequency. Sometimes it gets stuck over 1248mhz at idle. You have to reboot the phone to get it back down to 576mhz.
There's an app in playstore called "CPU Stats". That app puts a CPU meter in the status bar. Handy for letting you know when to restart
Not sure if thats me but i think ive noticed a drain by GSM, same issue that was on my mi 9 with global rom. try to go to service mode from dialer *#*#4636#*#* and set connection type to LTE/WCDMA seems like its helping at least a little
This became a common Miui issue these days. Had this problem with my Mi9T also, and couldn't resolve it in any way, maybe only by flashing custom rom, but this is not a solution.
Usually it was "cell standby" or "whatsapp" that was draining the battery...and I tried everything, debloating, battery optimizations, network mode changes etc.
I have the same problem. Yesterday I used the Mi note 10 intensely. I did 7h of screen and he was still 40% when I went to sleep. Today when I woke up he was 24%. It drained 16% without any use. I have to find out what is draining so much in Stand By.
I'm sad i'm selling my MI NOTE 10 to whom staying in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
If you are in Europe, just apply the 11.0.16 Ota, if you are coming from 11.0.13 global stable. It fixes the battery drain. Download and install via the updater app.
Download from here: mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/tucana/
I was becoming very depressed about this, just got my phone 2 days ago, and the battery was very poor... Hope it helps!

My drain was pretty minimal before updating to the newest EU Rom, but now it's much worse.
So not the same experience for everyone I guess.
I guess not... Not really sure what's happening. Waiting to 1 more day to unlock my bootloader in order to install globe ROM (android 10). It should improve battery drain and camera app... Let's see...

Can't really risk that with SafetyNet being seemingly impossible to bypass in the future.
With magisk it's fine, I think...

Well for now, but the tools are in place to completely break it, they just have to flip the switch. Which will happen sooner or later I'm sure of that and not passing Safety Net until some finds another exploit (which can be months) isn't really an option for me.
Wakelocks has been a constant issue for me on MIUI for years with bad standby as a result. This phone is no exception. It was bad on EEA Global ROM. It's bad on Android 10. I love Xiaomi but for the love of god it always has drain issues in standby. 1% per hour is not OK on a phone like this.

I confirm this, the cpu usage was stick around 60% at 1.2ghz, without doing nothing. The reboot fix this, but what cause this problem? This phone 2 days ago get an hard reset.

I'm not sure what's causes it. It's either a kernel issue or a system app within MIUI 11
It still happens with the latest 11.0.9 update
Hi, any heating issue with drain, during videocall or web browsing with this Mi Note 10 (Miui Global Stable 11.0.17)? I'm from EU. Thank you!
after the Update to Global 11.1.1.0 Android 10 seen great improvement in battery life and standby drain. Dont know if its only me.

I searched realme 7 vs moto g9plus, and those are very similar devices, benchmark very similar.
I haven't checked battery health in a while, but I never have problems with battery life so I guess it's fine, I charge a couple of times a week. Not noticed any weird battery drain, but I've noticed that tiktok is a drug and you'll be stuck in a world of heavy battery usage if you tiktok all day xD xD now, with this device I've stopped using 3rd party launcher, but nova works fine when tested.
I have some issues with this device, the microphone isn't good, so in calls people have problems hearing me, and for recording I also get low volume. Idk if this is a general issue or if my microphone is damaged. It's been exposed too rain, snow and humidity. I actually lost it outside when riding dirt bike several times, but Google's find my device has helped me relocate the device.
There was issues/bugs that made the phone freeze for minutes, I've been unable to answer calls due to unresponsive device, but these things haven't occurred since the latest update.
Generally, the device is good, and for the price it's probably as good as it gets. It's after all pretty cheap.
