XDA Navigation Gestures won't hide the Navigation Bar. Does it work for you? - Sprint LG G6 Questions & Answers

XDA released a Navigation Gestures app. But it isn't hiding the Navigation Bar on my Sprint LG G6 as it should:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...cial-xda-navigation-gestures-iphone-t3792361/
Developer options are on.
USB debugging is on.
Navigation Gestures Accessibility Service is on.
I issued the specified ADB command with no errors returned:
./adb shell pm grant com.xda.nobar android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
I have tried toggling USB debugging, reinstalling Navigation Gestures, and rebooting.
Is it working for anyone else on their Sprint LG G6?
Device Information:
LG G6 LS993 (Sprint)
Android 7.0
Android security patch level March 1, 2017
Kernel version 3.18.31
Software version LS993ZV4
Security software version MDF v3.0 Release 1

It does not work, but you can make it work in settings, display, app scaling, and put 18: 9 to the gestures app. Give back all permissions and it works

I tried that and it did not work.
Do you have a Sprint LG G6?
Does the XDA Navigation Gestures app hide the Navigation Bar for you?
What software version is your LG G6 running? Mine is LS993ZV4

It WORKS on mine.
I only tried it on android 8, didn't test it on android 7 though. Have you tried to update to Oreo?

Nope, I'm not updating my phone in case someone figures out how to root it.
(This was the first and last phone I will buy without root)
Thanks for letting me know it works on Oreo.

S8 Oreo Updated Blackframework.apk + BlacknotifactionsOnly.apk download

After upgrading to Oreo/Samsung Experience 9.0 can no longer use those 2 files to forcefully scheme the notifications and other windows black.
Has Android Oreo removed the ability in general to force themes by use of APK? Heard that was a security 'feature' but any developers have a new workaround? Please, as I can never get used to ugly white panels. Please let there be a workaround. Thanks, and comments appreciated.
Bump. Please I need an updated apk that will work with unlocked s8 regular not plus on oreo. It seems there are updated apk for the s8 plus on oreo but it won't work with regular s8.

XDA Navigation Bar app

Has anyone tried XDAs navigation bar app on this mobile? I was going to try it but then on the nav bar thread I read that there is some bug when we install this app on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 or on LG G6.
Please reply if someone has tried it?
Secondly I want to know that would it interrupt OTA updates in any way?
I have tried two times.first on 21st may and lastly today 31st may.i have given permission through adb but stock navigation bar was intact.and the gesture bar was above the system navigation bar.
No it will not interrupt the OTA updates.i have updated my phone last week after using and with installed the navigation gesture app.
UPDATE:- Now with latest update to Navigation Gestures_1.2.0-18_06_11_1601_23 version we may hide the stock navigation bar.
navigation bar remains intact. .. gesture bar is coming above it... g all
after giving all the permission and adb permission too.. still can get rid of that navigation bar.... can someone help me with this?
Any updates regarding navbar??
yup. navigation bar doesn't hide. even on rooted device unless used with xposed, doesn't work.
Now with latest update to Navigation Gestures_1.2.0-18_06_11_1601_23 version we may hide the stock navigation bar.
I can confirm it. now its possible to hide the navigation buttons.
Really!!!??? Is it working well?? Can you please explain the procedure with all the steps involved. I am a noob but I so want this feature ?
Can you please explain with all the steps involved in the process. I am noob.

Thanks bro , works flawlessly. I am so happy.
P.S. I tried to install through windows 7 but failed then I used windows 10 , and at last I was successful. ??Thank you so much once again.
thanks, this worked like a charm.

Nokia X6, now 6.1 plus with SKUID CN, still on 8.1... shall I try Pie?

Hi,
I got a Nokia X6 TA-1099 in September 2018, with Custom Oreo Rom (locked!) and rooted.
I unlocked it, loaded the Global Oreo one for Nokia 6.1 Plus few months ago and prompted to upgrade to Pie 3.45 right after. Once I did it, I noticed screen issues (much large screens, going out of the edges basically). One of the members of this forum told me that this happens when the SKUID is CN instead of WW. I checked and mine was CN. The phone is also recognised as TA-1103 now.
since I need a locked phone for banking, certified etc... I downgraded to Oreo Security Patch August 2018 and locked the phone "forever". I then disabled the automatic updates.
do you know if newer releases of Pie (like V3.54H which I am prompted about) will "fit" my screen properly even though I have SKUID CN? Or shall I just wait for Android Q that perhaps does not have this issue?
I am worried I will need to downgrade and I won't be able to do it anymore.
Thanks!
The SKUID will always trouble you. Because starting with Pie. parts of the OS rely on the SKU to enable/disable certain services. You're better off with either of the two:
1. Be on CN ROM and keep your CN SKUID.
2. Be on WW ROM but change your SKUID to WW.
3. Stay on Oreo (bonus lol)
The broken Status bar will continue to bug you when on Pie with CN SKUID. Also, some system features will remain missing/broken, including double-tap to wake.
Hi
Can I change the SKUID to WW now that I am on Oreo 8.1 August 2018 patch?
I am not finding any info to confirm this, but I appears that Nokia is now allowing unlock.
I would like to:
- change SKUID to WW
- relock
- upgrade to Pie and follow all the future automatic updates
Do you think this is possible?
Thanks for your help as always.
Nokia does not allow unlock. You will need to resort to the paid methods.
Sent from my Nokia 8.1
Please can you send me some links so I can proceed accordingly?

It's stable and I feel my phone snappier even though it did not mention about the general performance improvements or fixes like the last update (111MB vs 123MB)

Thanks! I disabled some stuff. Got rid of the two TMobile apps I couldn't uninstall. How many of the TMobile APK s can I get rid of? Also is there anyway to get visual voicemail on the dialer?

Notice anything new? The stock 8t global/EU Rom is in a really good place. Really stable and battery life is great for me. I really wish Tmobile wouldn't mess with the software

How did you deal with getting 5G up and running? That is the only thing stopping me from going to global/EU
