My Asus Zenfone Pro M1 takes almost 4 hours to charge full battery.
I tried all different chargers, Asus original, Xiaomi, also Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0
Battery charging from 5-50% takes more than 2 hours ...no matter which charger I use.
Should I go for warranty?

I think you should go for warrenty as the inbox charger or quick charger 2.0 would charge you mobile from 20% to 100% within 2.30 hours at max so if charging time goes higher then this then you should replace the device if its under warranty
i charged my phone from 12% to 100% in 2hrs 40 mins. use inbox charger for charging it is faster then normal other chargers. it also depends if wifi is on or network data is on and if you are using the phone when charging if 4g data is on it will charge slower.

Ya Thanks Am thinking of going with warranty as No stock ROM downloads available to flash and try.
I tried reset and every wall plug in my house no difference ..only charges 20-22% in an hour. , and all other phones charges perfect in house.
I have till May 24 for replacement.

Sometime it does charge fast but most of the times it gets overheated and takes more than 8 hours to charge.
Well, I found out it charges best only with stock Asus charger came with phone in box.
Theoretically all chargers with 5V-2A should charge it same way, but that's not the case here.
Guys, anyone having charging problem taking long time, use only stock Asus charger provided in the box, your problem will be solved.

After latest update my m1 pro is charging slowly , it takes around 5 hrs to charge from 5% to 100% , even on lock screen it says charging slowly , though I am using stock charger .
Any help is welcomed.
after you connect phone to stock charger it does slow charging for some minutes then it switches to 10v

Only stock charger after minute or two, switches to charging rapidly, All other chargers says only charging.
Yeah it took around 2hrs to charge the phone from 39% to 94% with stock charger and latest firmware(305), also the battery is discharging quite rapidly considering it has 5k mah battery. I think the stock os still needs tons of optimization and many simple features(pip is missing, network speed on status bar, option for auto sync and many more).

My sister just bought this recently and also got an update (I think it's the latest firmware(305), the same firmware that you've mentioned), but I found it pretty peculiar, it's said "charging slow" on the lock screen even after 3-5 minutes when I use the stock charger (5V == 2A). The weirder thing is I used my Lenovo P2 charger which is the same configurations as my sister's charger and I try charging it to the max pro m1 and it did charge faster, it said "charging" on the lock screen. I'm really confused here, is it because the update?. Do I have to wait for another update or is there any other way to fix this?
Got the phone today.It was charging nicely.Then i updated it and charging got crap.Battery started draining.Might help if we can downgrade i guess.
Clear recent apps. Most importantly keep screen off. If needed one reboot and the charging is back to quick charge.....its the background apps and inability of software tweaking / background app control / battery conservation software to change from normal 2 QC. Probably the next update will b better.
I think it might just be the update ?
Huff.... I hope Asus could fix this pretty soon

You have to charge it 2-3 times from 0-10% to 90-98% so that the battery calibrates. I also found it wierd at starting but after doing this my phone charges from around 15% to 98-99% in 2 hours and 20 -2 hours 40 minutes depending on whether I've enabled the data and location. Also the standby drain is too much so I've uninstalled some system apps and use greenify to hibernate other apps, with this now it's 3-5% drain in 9 hours. Now I easily get 8-9 hours of SOT with heavy gaming also.

Hey guys. I just purchased the phone and the charging on it is slow as @#@Q. WHen it does fully charge it drains fast, 10 hours with light usage. I have disabled and deleted many apps so far and no go. Right now I am hopeful that disabling google search works. Has anybody else had this issue and have any fixes? My next step is to do a full factory reset, which is no biggy since its new. But would suck to have to download everything again.

Are you using the Samsung OEM charger and cable? If not you will experience slower charging. This is due to the specifications on the adapter + phone itself detecting each other, and applying a special charge voltage.

Of course. Even if I didn't it should never take 5+ hours to charge off of usb 3.0 especially with my pc which has a feature that boosts the amperage for charging. Also a slow charge shouldn't affect its discharge rate.
I fixed the slow charge
Google Search was the problem child. I stopped it and the charging took off. I restarted the app, just because I like it, and it hasnt caused a problem since.
Now for the battery drain, it has only slightly improved. It lasted about 15 hours yesterday with very very light use. Today I let it charge an extra 12 hours and cross my fingers it has only discharged 4 percent with about 30 minutes of talk time and two hours off charger.
What roms camn I flash on the Sprint G900P? On My TMO s4 M919, I was also able to flash the international i9505
Last week I've installed a new usb port for my S4, because the old one broke. I know you will most likely think I've connected it poorly or whatever, but I don't think so, because I've had the slow charging issue before that.
I've got a couple of chargers. A Xiaomi 10.400 mAh charger, the original samsung AC charger, my nexus 7 charger, a Chromecast charger and a generic one from some store. The Xiaomi charger used to charge my phone quite fast. While playing Clash of Clans, on middle-high brightness I would still get about 1% every 2 minutes or so. Same with the nexus 7 one.
Right now however, it's struggling to get charged. It seems like the battery is draining faster than it's charging. But I've recently rooted my phone and installed the 5.0 GPE version rom, and my battery life has never been better. Recently got to 12h with about 2-3h SOT and still 60% left, which made me really happy. But if I charge it and use it, I only get about 1% every 10-15 minutes. Which kinda sucks.. (Right now, my s4 is on 87% and according to the lockscreen prediction thingy, it takes 1h06min to get to 100, while not using the phone)
Has anyone seen this problem before or knows how to fix it?

My phone also charged very slowly when connected to the PC.. This was on original firmware.
Now I'm using GPE ROM but I haven't charged it at a PC yet.
There are some options in the Googy Max settings regarding charging.

Nope, I charge it using a wallplug.
I must say it seems like my Xiaomi battery is charging my phone faster today. This afternoon it did about 30% an hour or something.
Edit: What it seems to be doing is charge fast at lower % battery, and charge slow on higher %. Is this a setting of something, perhaps?

I have an app called battery doctor which has 3 charging stages. From X% to 80% theres a fast charge, then from 80% to 100% it (supposedly) reduces the current to ensure a full charge (basically it charges slower from 80 to 100%). I don't know what difference there is in charging time in those 2 stages. But you say it happens on different roms so either you have recently installed an app like battery doctor or it's something else.
Have you tried charging the phone while it's turned off to see if it charges faster or same as before?

The only apps with root acces I have are system tuner, titanium backup and adaway. I uninstalled System Tuner, will see if that helps. And the only other thing that could do it is Googy-Max Stweaks.
I just turned the setting Charge Control Switch from disabled to Substitute AC to USB and got 7 % in 14 min. I feel it's quite a bit faster now. Gonna check it out while having Clash of Clans running. If it's still charging at 1% every 5 minutes, ill be happy
Just tested it for a bit, and went from 45 to 60% in 22 minutes. So I'm happy again

Today it told me it would take 2 hours to charge from 45%! WTF!? I didn't change any settings and have not flashed a new room or anything since I'm stock not rooted. I am on the O preview but I've been on it for months and this just started happening. Any help would be appreciated, tia

Taking a long time to charge and not rapid charging are two different things. Does your display say "Charging rapidly"? I assume you are using the same stock USB-C to USB-C cable and charger that came with the phone. If you install Accubattery you will be able to monitor two important things: 1) charging rate in mA- the charging rate will confirm (or not) you are charging close to 3 Amps when your battery is discharged below 20% . I usually see ~2.7 A, but only when when fully discharged. -and- 2) your estimated battery capacity. In short, when your battery starts to take a dump you will see long charging times and more heat. Charge the phone a few times from fully discharged until the APP tells you the phone is full- not the phone. After fully charging a few times, go to the health page and report your battery's estimated capacity.
Ok thanks. Sometimes I get the charging rapidly message, sometimes it just says charging. Guess I might have to look to upgrade soon. Maybe a Pixel 2 is in my future

I wanted to know if its possible to make it charge in lesser time as i have moved out of town and i travel a lot. I get like 1600ma in ampere from default charger i tried using the opt dadh charger im getting like 1500 ma oonly .
Any idea what to do ?

The charger that comes in the box for US models isn't quick charge 3. I got Aukey QC3 from Amazon. I rarely let it get low enough to know precisely how long a full charge takes though. My partial charges usually an hour. Often I don't charge the last 5-10% as it takes far too long for the benefit it provides. Also take a charger with you! car charger, wall charger, charge in restaurants etc
I have a Pixel 2 USB.PD charger that fast charges in roughly the same time. The one that came with the phone is slower, but not by a lot.

In battery options, look at app usage by percentage.
In developer options look at running services & see what's running for the longest.
For me, firefox takes the largest chunk of power by far, everything else is at 1-2%
I have about 80 user apps installed, I avoid all apps with ads & still get 4 hours SOT on a year old device. Also I live in a valley with terrible signal. So I get battery drain from the GSM/LTE radio which is usually at 1 bar.

May be new update is buggy ?
Since the last release I decided to stick with Nova Prime and no Google Companion. Before I was on stock launcher and turned off shelf. Charged to 100% and over night battery drained to 99%.Right now I am at 77% with 2 hrs of screen time and been unplugged for 16 hrs.
I would think that shelf or Google Discover is a battery drain for sure.

I don't think so. It's happening on custom ROMs as well. For me it started from one day on another. Weird thing but I think that's the ACTUAL capacity of the battery. You'll actually never have 100% battery when unplugging from the charger after some longer charging. It just shows you that.

I noticed as well. I think its because of my extended use of fast charging as isn't good for the battery. But I thought that the heat was going to the charger and you should use the charger that comes in the box.
However, from extended use of my 6T and my previous phone the OnePlus 3. Dash charging affects the battery even though heat doesn't go to the phone, it affects the battery health. And you shouldn't use it especially if you want to keep the phone for 2+ years. I've been using my 6T since December and my battery health is around 70%?! I only been using dash charge as well for both of my 6T and OP3. The reason I upgraded was because of the degraded battery in my OP3. From this, I'm gonna send my 6T back to OnePlus for a battery replacement, so that I get a brand new battery and from now on I'm never gonna use dash charge and instead gonna use quick charge 2.0 chargers as I don't have a apple 5V charger. But this should still be better for long term, even if it is a form of fast charging. All Samsung phones since the S7 have been having this quick charge standard. Using fast chargers is convenient, but it is not good for long term and it is just another scummy way for companies to reduce the longevity of your device and make you buy a new one. Tbh Dash Charging or Warp Charging or any fast charging should only be used when you're in a rush and you're phone's battery is low

Thanks buddy noticed this issue too .. while charging on regular charger it's fine shows almost 3700 as health but on dash charger it shows much lower
So i figured something interesting ...
The ideal capacity of oneplus 6t is 3700
But rated or we can say usable capacity is of 3610mah ..
So according to that accubattery is almost right ...

In the beginning I had a similar issue. Drain up to approx. 85% went fairly quick,but afterwards the drain will improve drastically. Takes some time I think

It did for me at least. Otherwise it's an app issue.
I only have the "issue" that battery goes from 100 to 96% fairly quick but I don't really care. Drain afterwards is normal and getting over 10hrs SOT easily anyway.

Yah 10+ some occasions ... So not a big deal .. and this rated capacity issue seems to be in all one plus devices .. so nothing to worry about ...i guess so

Mine does this but I noticed that if I reboot my phone every morning before taking it off the charger, this issue goes away. So I'm guessing there is some sort of trickle charging happening once the batter reaches capacity. I also notice if I take the phone off the charger as soon as it hits 100%, battery does not drain to 96% quickly as well. Must be something with the way one plus software works with charging

Yah it's a tricky may be preventing battery from unusal degrading ...
Nonetheless battery backup is just amazing ..im on staock oos9.0.13 and this is what i got its amazing ....
