Oreo - Urgent Notification without sound? - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Back on Nougat, I heavily utilized Power Notification Controls (i.e., set music player notifications to highest priority so that it would show the currently playing song when it changes)
Oreo removed this in lieu of notification channels, and has made this difficult for me.
I have the option to set Poweramp's notifications to urgent, but there's no option to do that without sound. Although other apps built-in on the phone have done this? (https://imgur.com/a/ZgYrZYm)
When I go to pick a sound option for Poweramp, Silent isn't an option (see same link). And I tried a short silent audio clip but it still mutes the music player as if it's playing a sound.
Is there any way to get Silent on Poweramp like the built-in app?

Q: Is there anyway to customize the sound profiles?

Is there anyway i can customize the sound profiles to have specific sound?
For instance, turn off ringtone and system sound but still have media audio (music player, video sound) or turn off all sound besides notifications, etc. As of now, the only thing I can do is turn off ringtone volume but leave system on but that still produces notification alerts and of course there is silent and vibrate but those cut off all sound. So, is there an app or registry change I can make to customize it the way I want. Any help is a appreciated.

[Q] Music pauses for every notification

Hey guys.
It bugs me to the core when I'm listening to music and it always has to pause for 2 secs whenever any notification comes in.
As a normal music player or OS will behave, it should fade the music a little bit and notification plays on top.
It gets more annoying when notifications are constant. E.G listening to music and chatting on WhatsApp.
Is there anything, mod, tweak that I can apply to make music only fade when notifications come, not pause for 2-3 seconds?

When streaming Google All Access, it only slightly lowers the volume and plays the notification sound on top, as you are stating that it should be doing
My guess is that it has something to do with whatever app you're using.

Yes. Thats what I mean it should be doing. To lower the music (fadel) then refocus on the music after notification sound.
Hmm. I'd test that but I dont have Google music access.
However, when I use Spotify, it fades the music and refocus on it after the notification sound. Pandora as well.
Its the Samsung music player that won't do the same.

I hate this aswell, happens to me with poweramp
Handwritten from my Note 3
Turn the system sounds to vibrate or silent. Not exactly convenient, but it's better than nothing.
I hate this as well, I'd rather just that it played the notification through the music without silencing it at all.
Try Tasker. It's wonderful for automate any task you want
It happens on all the players I've tried. This is touchwiz in action. I will try tasker and see what I can come up with.

notifications and in-app sounds interrupt music playback (even in silent mode)

in silent mode, notifications sounds dont play but the music pauses for the exact duration of the notification sound that'd play if it wouldn't be silent
anyone?

Anyone else have n annoying custom ringtone problem?

I set a custom ringtone for some contacts (MP3s) and rather than just ringing with the custom ringtone, this happens:
1) Custom ringtone works per usual, but the annoying parts are 2&3
2) Music player on the lockscreen w/ ringtone
3) Music player on notification bar w/ ringtone
Why is this happening?

Audio ducking and other sound

Hi there, is it possible to change audio ducking settings? When notification plays while music is playing music completely mutes, on other ROMs the volume just fades downwards. Can this behaviour be restored?
Also, is it possible to link ringtone and notification sounds?
Thanks a lot
