Moto X Style - XT1572 - Brazilian Edition - Problems with SIM card.

Good night, dudes!
I own a Moto X Style - XT1572 (Brazilian) and tried to flash some roms developed recently (AICP, SlimLP, SlimSaber, OrionLP, even EU Stock) and absolutely NONE of them could read my SIM card.
Some of them (SlimSaber and EU Stock) pointed there was "No SIM card", even though the SIM Toolkit is there in the app drawer!
While the other ROMs (AICP and OrionLP) just had no signal at all and keeps showing "Emergency Calls Only - No Service".
Am I missing something? Config, patch, file?
Is there a Stock Brazilian ROM already for download?

It contains ROM for the T1572, the Brazilian version should be the one that has RETLA_DS in the name

It worked. It is, indeed, the Brazilian ROM, dual sim.
But now I got curious... the EU XT1572 can use most part of the ROMs developed until now... why the BR version can't? Are they so different?

No problem. As for the difference I have no idea.

Guys, I just flashed this image RETLA_DS, and it gets stuck on the bootloader.
Flashed 3 times already, and still stucked on the bootloader.
What do I do, please?

Thanks, bro! I figured out what was wrong. The DS version has one more system file than the usual 9. I didn't ser it and, thus, didn't flash it.
Sorry for the false alarm! Everything is perfect now. Thanks for this. Saved my life too.

Hi guys, is there any news on this one? I'm facing the exact same problema with the exact same version of hardware.
If any developer can help, I'm happy to test any fix you can provide.
So, 'till now:
- Flash CW 14 from here: http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/update-moto-x-pure-cm14-cyanogenmod-14-nougat-7-0-rom/
- I'm follow the steps of page and download the last build from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=profile&uid=95897840722645866 (cm-14.1-20161127-UNOFFICIAL-clark.zip)
- Clean install with TWRP;
- Factory reset; -> No sim detected
- Flash marshmellow modem from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...odem-flashable-modem-files-eu-single-t3297051 -> No sim detected
so that it is... just say a word and I'll try my best.

Just tried the last Lineage lineage-14.1-20170306-nightly-clark-signed.zip and still not recognized my sim card =/
Lets get back to stock and wait Moto/Lonovo release a oficial one.

How to downgrade to stock 6.0

Hi. Is there a way to downgrade to stock 6.0 after flashing Nougat? Locked bootloader, I flashed official 7.0 reteu through stock recovery. Cheers

Locked bootloader? Nope, not happening. Moto's do not support downgrading, this is not a Nexus/Pixel device.
Even if your bootloader was unlocked, it seems to me that Nougat changed the radios and partition tables, it might not work even to use the "partial flash" method where you skip certain key components like gpt.bin and bootloader.img, and possibly even radios, would all have to stay on Nougat.
Better to look at the problems your having with Nougat and fix those rather than downgrade.

No change to partition table or RIL from lollipop to marshmallow.

I can confirm, No problem downgrading, gpt partition gives an error during flash, but device boot with no problem.
someone said that after downgrade we can flash custom rom, but i haven't tried it.

Yes, I downgraded to 6.0 and then I put the LineageOS and it worked!

I am trying to achieve the same. Trying to downgrade from 7 to 6.0.1. How did you do it? Unlock your boot loader? I have experience of flashing OnePlus/Nexus/Pixel/Samsung. Motos are completely new to me and quite confusing right now. Apologies for the noobness.

Hi,, sorry about the late reply. Yes, you will need to unlock the boot loader. Please use this guide unlock:

Beleza? Se liga, estou tentando fazer o mesmo procedimento, fiz o upgrade stock para o 7.0 (Ja tinha antes feito o unlock do BL e usado alguns FW custom) e estou querendo voltar a usar os mesmos customs, pra isso soube que preciso fazer o downgrade.
Voce usou o que exatamente para isso?
Tentei ha um tempo atras fazer isso, mas simplesmente nao funcionou.... fica travado no Bootloop.

Hell bro. I also want to downgrade to mm stock , currently I am in stock nougat . Actually I want to downgrade due the problem of navigation keys not working after unlocking screen. That part of screen works fine in locked screen.

Going back to stock MM would not do any good to the navigation bar problem. It's a hardware defect faced by many other people using this device, including myself. Yes I know it started after Nougat update but trust me I've tried almost every solution of going from this ROM to that but that doesn't provide a complete solution. On some ROMs, the bar worked for few days and then again went dead completely. So I would suggest you to reconsider your plan of going back to MM with an expectation of getting the navigation bar problem solved.

But that part of screen is working in other conditions, so that cannot be a hardware problem. It must be a software issue. R u also facing same issue? Didnt u took ur phone to service center?

If you are talking about lock screen icons, then yes they do work, but their circle of response is bigger than that of navigation bar buttons. You can check this by enabling show touches in settings. Yes, I'm facing the same issue too. Even one of my friend with Moto X Style is too facing the same. The only solution to it is to replace the display + digitizer which would cost around 8k - 10k INR via official service center.

So it is for XT1663. Are you sure we can use in XT1662?
Is it a custom rom??

I have read in russian forum that flashing eu version with xt1662 rom would lose imei. How can i known flashing xt1662 with xt1663 rom will not be wrong?
I buyed my phone on ebay. Model is xt1662 but some system apps version is 6.0_xt1663_s096..... seller told me is a Chinese version but prepare to overseas... what do you think? Do you have the same and tried it?
Some Motorola forums reports some bugs in Nougat, so i found xt1663_usr_s356_1706211351_mp7V1-ROW and i want to flash it but I'm afraid of brick my phone.

IMEI issue
I live in Canada, I got this xt1662 from China. No luck with installing google play at all. The xt1663 rom works for the xt1662 phone, however, the IMEI is not working at all. I cannot make phone call at all.

I have the same problem, could you solve it?

Apparently it's a matter of luck ... My moto M that came from China does not have any problems with the iMEI. I'm sorry if you had problems, I'm going to remove this software from here :/

Don't remove it if it works for the XT1663, just remove the XT1662 par from the title and the posts.

Please don´t do it! - The Nougat 7.0 firmware for XT1663 (xt1663_usr_s356_1706211351_mp7V1-ROW) works very well on the XT1662! Including mobile phone network connection.
After flashing firmware the only thing is, your have to write back your IMEI´s to the NVRAM. Use the tool maui meta & the right modemdb file to find the right address pointers (= nvram database). A generic MTK 6750 modem database file are perfect, because the xt1662 & xt1663 uses a higher clock variant of thr cpu (MTK6755). Please take time and search for the right quides. It is very easy to do it
If you do not know your two IMEI´s please have a look on the shipping package. There is a label with your IMEI´s.

Hello, try to flash this rom with the flashtool and now it does not turn on, either in fastboot mode but the pc does recognize it although it does not install the rom correctly.

Same Issue, got the phone from GB in China, now after flashing it won't connect to Fido or Bell, how you got it fixed, cause I haven't

I flashed xt1663 fw in xt1662, but erased imei and maui meta dont recognize the cell. Baseband is unknown.

Very good, yerstaday I flashed my xt1662 this firmware. Yes, IMEI erased. I did backup nvram.img and nvdata.img
and flashed it back after install Android 7. Work done. Previous Android 6 is suxx.
I can write link for restoring IMEI.

XT1663_S371_171109_ROM

after flash with SP flashtool v5.1616.00.000 and latest mtk drivers, flash done all partitions.
This rom xt1663 working perfect in xt1662

That's a really good ROM, and it's been working just fine. But where did you get it?

(SOLVED) Moto g5 plus hard bricked!!!

I flashed the Brazil ROM (.15 version) on my G5 Plus and got the OTA update to the .67 version. After installing the update, the device went into a hard bricked state. No bootloader. Only the LED blinks when the device is connected. Tried reviving the bootloader using blankflash but it fails each time I try. Please help me guys!

Hey man, I've revived mine too, last night. Ran Albus blankflash as the Potter one wasn't working and then flashed the deeodexed & debloated ROM (based on stock), using twrp. It's working absolutely fine. Only thing is that apparently I can't go back to stock ROM through normal means until we get the Oreo update. Some updated Potter blankflash stuff which I don't exactly get lol ?

Request for Stock Backup of Indian XT1760

Hi. If anyone has a stock backup of Indian XT1760 and willing to share? I flashed TWRP without backing up my stock ROM first and now I am stuck with an old version. An OTA update notification keeps on popping up. I know I can disable the update notification, but I really want to be on the latest patch. Thanks in advance.

@gururoop i will try to upload the stock backup of Moto E4 and the good thing is you don't have to update to the newest one The stock backup is updated and comes with latest security patch

I don't think you can update that way. Don't you need the modem and other things in the update that a twrp backup doesn't cover?

Its a miracle tool dump not a TWRP dump. This means, i have backup of whole firmware files. (frp, secro, seccfg, para, pgpt, nvram, nvdata, hw, oem, oemkeystore, keystore, efuse, utags, tee1, tee2, protect1, protect2 & etc etc). Hope you got it.

Right on dude. I was actually asking. Often times people here usually mean TWRP when they say they have a backup. Glad you are a little more thorough and I kind of wish you had the Qualcomm version, lol.

i owns a mediatek variant of e4 and you know their's no community support for MediaTek variant of E4. In firmware center no official stock rom for Mediatek E4, only available for Qualcomm variant
EDIT : I bricked my E4 almost 3 Times and send it to service center for repair. Lenovo does not provide official OS. so theirs no way to make it alive. scatter file gives some strange error and miracle tool isn't capable of flashing new SOCs like MT6737 without a dongle.
