What's new in this update??

Probably just the May security patch I guess.
EDIT: Just finished the update, May security patch confirmed, don't see anything new other than that.

Hi, I own an 8141 (single sim). For me it fixed the long waiting wifi hotspot tethering problem (I have a post on that). I am guessing it also solved the WiFi dropping as it has not happened in 24 hours, (I used to wake in the morning and realize the phone was on mobile data), which was introduced at least for me in last update.
Thanks & regards.

Update: Some hours later wifi dropped again.

Since today when I tilt the phone sideways I get a blue hue on the display. Restarting the phone doesn't help.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Firmware is 47.1.A.12.179

Anyone elses Nexus 7 saying its up to date 4.2

Hey Chaps anybody else in the UK not had the prompt to update to 4.2.1 yet? my unit is saying it is up to date when I check.
Mine has been saying up to date but finally got the update notification about half an hour ago.
The missus' got the update notification yesterday evening.
My Nexus 4 still hasn't had the update.
Everyone seems to think updates are available to all on the same day.
Updates are done on a rolling schedule; it may take up to two weeks for it to reach your device.

Yes we are nutters! its no drama to be honest, I just flashed it with CWM and used Voodoo OTA root keeper to of course keep the root, all working fine. Although this mediaserver thing is eating my battery like there is no tomorrow.
Hi I live in London, UK and got the update a couple of hours ago. Didn't need to do any clearing of Google frameworks cache/data for it to pop up. Had tried before around midday and it said my Nexus 7 was up to date (when on version 4.2).
I'm from UK and got mine via OTA last night.
Continuously press Check Update button for several seconds and soon after it may prompt you to update. It did for me last night.

Just put the tablet in airplane mode, clear the Google services framework data, turn off airplane mode and check again. It should be there.

OK am I dumb? My 4.2 n7 says there is an update and it downloads (I think )... and then it reboots into recovery.... Where is the zip to apply saved?
Can't find it so I reboot.... Check and I am still on JC3 not D and says 4.2 ... Not 4.2.1 and days system is up to date....?
Help

I thought updates were rolled out on a region basis. So what you're saying is, I won't get an update at roughly the same time other people in the Uk get theirs ?
Got the update for 4.1 to 4.2 the day after it came out, but not this bug fix yet. cleared the cache 3 times so far.

AT&T pushing OTA update - lmy47x.N915AUCU2COI3

AT&T force pushed this update to my phone yesterday. Not sure what it does yet, when I postponed it, it claimed performance updates. Really hope it wasn't a fix for the rumored exploit of TeamYemen (see here and the following few pages). I'm going to try and re-flash N915AUCU2COI2 later to see if they updated the bootloader with this.
I did revert back, it appears the bootloader was unaffected. So, I guess I'll update again.

For those who'd like proof in case it hasn't hit your device yet:
http://www.att.com/devicehowto/tuto...426661?make=Samsung&model=GalaxyNoteEdgeN915A
For the "performance enhancements", did they fix anything? Fixed the edge panel notification?
I have noticed that a problem seems to have stopped that happened every so often, where I'd unlock the phone, start using an app, but the phone would re-lock itself immediately, then I'd have to wait for it to stop doing something before I could unlock again and use it.
They're pushing another one, I don't know if it's to block a root exploit (as one for the verizon note 4 was recently found), or if it's Marshmallow, anybody know what this new one is?
Whereeeee isssssss Marshmallowwwwwww atttttttt????????

No OTA update yet for 7.0 upgrade via the beta program?

Hey guys. My dad upgraded his 6p to 7.0 via the beta program. He still has not gotten the September security update. I keep thinking he should've gotten it by now. Anyone else have this issue?

This is purposeful. Google does slow rollouts for OTAs, presumably to monitor potential OTA issues on release. Every device receives OTAs at a different time spanning weeks.

I re-enrolled in the Beta program yesterday and it sent me the September update a minute later. Try un-enrolling and re-enroll and see what happens. My concern is the camera's new on screen zoom +and - buttons and burst mode button. I find them very annoying and unnecessary. Can't seem to turn em off though.

New Software Update - 9/21/2016

Anybody else got prompted with this update yet? Can't find any release notes at this time.

I checked for it earlier when I heard about it and installed it. September security update but not sure anything else with it.
I got the notice but have not installed it yet.
I installed it earlier after seeing many on another site that did so. it's a little bit over 100 megabytes so it's probably not much more that the actual security update.
September Security Update haven't seen anything else yet.
This is a really good sign that Lenovo is dedicated to keeping us up to date. I smell Nougat soon!

Can anyone with unlimited test to see if this free hotspot glitch is still up? Don't want to install if they patch it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68368388&postcount=8

Wow, I stumbled on this thread, installed Network Signal Refresher Lite app and it works for me and I just updated to the Sept Security Patch a few days ago. I really missed the Moble Hot spot I had on my Razr M.
FYI, I have the Moto Z

Yeah, I do. Rebranded from C432. Was on C636B191 - very nice build. Now on C636B362 (clean install) and battery drains faster.

noticed no issues with battery on mine. still get 2 days of pretty decent usage out of it.
Can I move to this build using FF from MHA-L29C636B158? I have just picked up this phone and I assume FF is the only way I can get updates and hence Oreo? If appropriate is it best to use 'auto DNA' or proxy?
I got an OTA update from the first Oreo update (got that back in December, before Christmas Eve... 21st maybe?) to .363 last night. Also got last month's security patch. The update change log did not mention anything about WiFi, but I noticed that it seemed to connect "easier".
